  1. I don't think that you are correct in the time frame. The problem is the RNG system...you COULD take that long to get to the final gear you want, or you COULD get it relatively quickly. The weekly limits on the amount of points really won't be a problem for someone who plays like you. You may not get the top tier of gear immediately but you will always be geared equally to the best geared players on the server.
  2. BW: As a father of an 8 year old who plays this game with my wife and I, I want to address the current loot changes. He's 8. He's not getting a spot on an op to get top tier gear any time soon. I think it's amazing that you are giving him a way to get geared. It's also amazing that you figured out a way to do this for people who have jobs and can't regularly raid. It's also amazing that you found a way to give gear to solo players that is top tier. However, If you haven't seen the vitriol online since this announcement, you need to seriously wake up. The goals are good - the execution is horrendous. This seems to be par for the course from a lot of what you have done in the past. Please don't double down on this - listen to your fan base and at the very least remove the RNG element for specialization. I think if you kept everything else the same and just made sure people got gear for their spec, you would turn this whole thing around. Be smart....please.
  3. As someone who is leveling a new toon on a new server now I can confirm that this is true. It is taking me much longer to work through content because it seems that TTK has gone up for mobs under level 47 or whenever it is that you get the bolster. I am about level 22 now and the switch happened after I hit 10-15 the other day and there was a noticeable change immediately after the patch.
  4. I got a notification that this thread was active again in my Email today and was totally floored. This is the feature I have noticed SHOULD have been in the latest update but WASN'T. I thought they had already confirmed chat bubbles as a WIP.....anyone at all know a further update?
  5. Are the devs going to let us know what's going on? Are they going to interact with us on this or just put this thread out there so it *appears* as if they considered all of our input and will ultimately reject all of it anyways?
  6. There was a really good combat spec guide that I *thought* was stickied on this forum. Can someone link it to me, I can't find it anymore!
  7. There was an awesome combat spec guide on here but I can't find it anymore! I thought it was stickied!
  8. go check out the pvp forums "how to be a contender" thread. It breaks down the requirements of PvP gear to this: Conqueror Piece ............. WZ Commendations Chest ............. 1,000 (was 1,425) Legs ................. 1,000 (was 975) Head ............. 1,000 (was 1,075) Gloves ............. 1,000 (was 875) Boots ............... 1,000 (was 875) Belts ................ 600 (was 625) Bracers ........... 600 (was 550) Ear .................. 800 (was 625) Implant ............ 800 x2 (was 625 x2) Offhand ........ 1,250 (was 1,550) Mainhand ..... 1,250 (was 1,550) Relic ................ 700 x2 (was 550 x2) Total ........... 11,700 (was 12,475 Regular Commendations) and then Obroan: Obroan Piece ............. WZ Commendations Chest ............. 2,500 (was 3,200) Legs ................. 2,500 (was 2,225) Head ............. 2,500 (was 2,425) Gloves ............. 2,500 (was 2,000) Boots ............... 2,500 (was 2,000) Belts ................ 1,425 (same) Bracers ........... 1,250 (same) Ear .................. 1,400 + conqueror piece (was 1,425 + 200 regular) Implant ............ 1,400 x2 (was 1,425 +200 regular x2) Offhand ........ 3,500 (was 3,475) Mainhand ..... 3,500 (was 3,475) Relic ................ 1,300 x2 (was 1,425 + 200 x2) Total ........... 27,575 (was 28,600 Ranked Commendations + 1,000 Regular Commendations (82,725 REGULAR COMMENDATIONS!!!) Adding those two together gives a total of 94,425 regular commendations to gear a toon, not min/maxed mind you, just to acquire the gear. IF you lost every wz you were in it would take: 1259 warzones to get all of this gear (at 75comms a pop which is high) If you won every warzone it would take: 787 warzones (at 120 per win which is also high). At 15 minutes per warzone this is time spent playing to acquire gear (at an average of 15 minutes/warzone): Loss: 314hrs and 45minutes Win: 196hrs and 45minutes This does not take into affect dailies and weeklies (which PvE has as well). So if you played for 24 hours a day for 8-13 days you could have a full set of obroan gear. Lets assume that you only play 2 hours a day for seven days a week it would only take you 22 weeks to get a full set of Obroan gear. What I am getting at is time spent actually PLAYING not just "waiting" is actually LONGER for PvP than for PvE.
  9. A couple things: 1) sounds like you shouldn't be complaining for an "easy" way to get BiS gear? hmmm? 2) that there are set bonuses and BiS gear that are PvP items is a fault of the numbers on the gear itself not the system for how you obtain PvE vs. PvP gear. 3) The reason it takes longer is to stretch the completion of content so you don't run through all of their content in 4 weeks before they can get newer stuff put together. 4) You still haven't addressed the issue that while this is definitely the case for 2nd tier items, Obroan gear takes a good 4-5 times longer to acquire than top-tier PvE sets. If you want your 2nd tier faster they would also have to find a way to "balance" the timing of when the 3rd tier is acquired. There are no "drops" or "rolls" on PvP gear in the game. Those are facts, and they are facts that others have brought up and addressed and you have failed to adequately respond to them. Lets not name-call and take debate on this issue so personally that you start to rage.
  10. You know what the problem with this thread is? It is so brainless of an idea that BW may just read this (ignoring all other feedback that would actually improve the game) and think: "now wait a minute, that could work...."
  11. Yeah, this would be nice! I just feel so sad that today is halloween and its just like, business as usual in SWTOR
  12. are you telling me across all of these planets and cultures there are no "holidays" that would even remotely align with christmas, halloween, etc. etc.?
  13. Why not add halloween themed crap to the fleets, why not thanksgiving stuff for next month? I think that makes things awesome in game.
