  1. They will never balance PvP. They don't have the engine structure, ability, nor desire to balance it.
  2. Ah, I see you're new here. No amount of complaining or players quitting will ever fix the issues you describe. Things are on auto-pilot and have been for a while. If it frustrates you enough, might be better to find another game. Sorry to be negative Nancy. But it's thr truth. I do sincerely hope you enjoy your weekend.
  3. BTW - the green 324 relic trick doesn't work, but it DOES work if you put a 306 in there. It will only drop blue relics at that point.
  4. 100% positive. Happy to provide screen shots. It's giving me all different pieces. Gloves, chest, boots, etc.
  5. Well, I have followed all the steps. I changed out gear to have all 324 gear. I have full "Elite" gear like the steps indicate, all blue accessories except for 1 green 324 relic. I am still getting a mix of green and blue drops in flashpoints. I've followed the instructions precisely so either it's bugged out for me or it's been changed.
  6. I apologize, I meant implants, not augments. I do still have my old 306 set I believe. So if I switch to all 306 implants, my 324 ear, and 1 324 green relic....this still works?
  7. No, my blue augments are 326. Everything else 324. I didn't realize this would mess up the whole system. Jesus christ this gearing system sucks.
  8. I have followed these steps. I am currently on step 7a....I am wearing all green elite gear, all blue accessories except 1 green relic...the bosses continue to drop a mix of blue and green gear. Has this been hotfixed or removed?
  9. This is actually impossible given the engine they use. They build code on top of code, so there's no simple way to revert it back to classic. A pipe dream that will never happen based on technical limitations.
  10. That is fair. That's why I mentioned the game has much more depth than a first glance would indicate. I was surprised when I watched a video about it. I agree a few months will give a more clear picture.
  11. Some major Twitch streamers are really enjoying it and thr game is much more complex than first look. I don't play it, but I know many will because of its popularity with famous players. Edit: Lost Ark peaking over 1.3 million players. I'd say it's a solid threat to this games already super low population. We will see if it holds.
  12. Lost Ark is going to take away players. 9.2 in WoW is going to take away players. The game slowly burns to death during its 10 year anniversary. What was supposed to be a great triumph ends up being an incredible disappointment. Happy 10th Anniversary!
  13. My entire guild came over from WoW and we had about 35 regular players on every day. Most left because of the inability of the game to handle actual large scale stuff. Ilum was a monumental failure of what should have been something super awesome. The overall incompetence is what drove away most of them. Lack of balance, slow content drip, but the majority left because the communication has always been absolutely abysmal since Day 1. Whenever I ask someone about coming back, they laugh and ask if Bioware is still around. That says everything IMO.
  14. Premades only ruin the PvP experience because of the lack of population. At prime time there are around 25-ish players consistently queueing for warzones. So the chances you run into that 4 man premade consistently are pretty high. That pre-made continues to stomp players, thus making them leave the queue. This makes it even MORE likely you run into them, which repeats the process until eventually there is barely anyone queueing. This isn't a problem in other MMOs because there's an actual population. Make no mistake - this problem WILL get worse in 7.0...as these ranked premades will have moddable gear and thus MUCH better allocation of stats and the imbalance will be worse than it ever has been. Best of luck to those still remaining.
  15. While Bioware has consistently failed when it comes to this game, this "expansion" and the mis-management of everything is the ultimate of failures. They took everything good about 6.0+ and threw it out the window, while creating more terrible convoluted systems. How many currencies are there now for gear? That you can o ly use with certain vendors? And now they make 8 million static pieces of gear so you can customize stats...WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT MODDABLE GEAR IS FOR. It really is baffling. I really wonder how we got to this point. If I was this bad at my job, I would have been fired a long time ago. Oh well. At least they posted this stuff a few days before my sub runs out so I could cancel my sub just in time.
  16. Man what great timing for this series of Dev posts. I only had 2 days left on my sub, perfect chance to unsub and watch from afar as 7.0 crashes and burns into the ground.
  17. So they remove moddable gear that's been in the game since launch....players freak out...so they add 8 million static items and require you to search through specific pieces to customize your gear....just...like...moddable gear? Whatever they're smoking, I want some. This is utter lunacy at this point.
  18. It is just laughable at this point. What an absolute disaster. "10 Year Anniversary" LOL
  19. I haver never seen a forum post so thoroughly body-bag another poster. Hot DAMN you just decimated that guy.
  20. The changes in 7.0 are now set in stone, and I am so utterly confused by the vision and direction the game is trying to achieve. Like, what is the goal? Attract new players? The leveling experience is boring and confusing. Read any of the feedback posts on leveling. Bugs all over, abilities that don't work well together, referrals to activities that aren't available. What features will attract new players when the current player base abhor most of the changes?? The best way to bring in new players is to have existing players recruit friends to play with. I don't see it happening in 7.0. Bring back old players? The gearing system is as convoluted as ever. Dailies and weeklies reset which requires more dedicated play time. Gear is more difficult to obtain. Class balance is significantly worse than 6.0, which actually came somewhat close to being decent. Ability pruning was sloppy and nerfed classes who didn't need it. Satisfy current players? That's the opposite of what is happening. I've never seen the forums so united in their at best hesitancy and at worst hatred for thr changes. How does an expansion get to this point? How is it possible to be so out of touch with what players want? I guess I don't even expect an answer. It's just so confusing.
  21. PTS Vanguard leveling is boring, slow, not enough abilities. Mirrored by other classes I tried. 7.0 really is going to be the worst expansion to date.
  22. This is one of the most accurate and poignant posts I've seen on these forums in the 13 years swtor forums have been active. The 10 year anniversary should have seen in-game celebrations and many forum posts by Bioware employees, with specific details on things to come. I remember a post from a year or so ago talking about the BIG PLANS for the 10-year anniversary...and yet, nothing happened. Myself and a group of friends recently went out for a few drinks and ran into one of the Devs for swtor. I didn't have any idea until my buddy made a D&D reference and the gentleman commented on it and it started up a big conversation. I played dumb about playing swtor, we talked about work, and some of the stuff he mentioned was truly disappointing. I'll make a separate post at some point when I have time about all the things he said. The short and sweet of it is that the employees don't care much and put on a good face at work for their bosses and everything is an attempt to drive "sales for the online market." It sure was enlightening.
  23. I've been on since the game was announced pre-sale. A lot of ups and downs. The excitement of a new major MMO with the most successful franchise of all time. The crushing realization that Bioware and EA completely botched their chance to make this game what it should have been. The hope for eventual change, and the acceptance that it simply became a cash cow rather than a project of passion and integrity. The missed opportunities were mind-boggling. But the game has survived, even as the quality continued to decline. KOTFE AND KOTET breathed some new life into the game and made for good stories. But the follow up after that went downhill fast. It was truly sad to see. I will say the game impacted my life in positive ways through relationships I made, and I'll always be thankful for that. Ultimately, I'll remember the game as a massive disappointment of what could have been the greatest MMO ever, and turned into something incredibly mediocre due to a lack of vision, leadership, and communication that, unfortunately, continues to this very day. Probably my favorite in-game moment was a Huttball tournament against another guild. I pulled out the game 5 win by performing a mid-air grapple, pulling someone into fire with 20 seconds left. I carbonized and waited until the moment they broke the stun to electro-Dart them, watching them die to the fire, stealing the huttball and scoring the goal and winning the tournament for the guild with less than 5 seconds left in the match. Voice coms went absolutely insane for a solid minute or two. Was a fun night.
  24. You haven't been here long, have you? Pull up a chair. Eventually, you'll accept the anarchy. Try the popcorn. It isn't half bad.
  25. Agreed. One of the worst changes I've ever seen. It is mind-boggling how anyone though this was a good idea. I'm praying it is a bug...hell, I'll accept if they revert this and lie and say it was a bug.
