  1. You can get some parts from the Boarding Party and Foundry flashpoints around level 33, and like others pointed out there is a set on Taris which you have a choice between goldish brown and greenish blue. Then there are two sets through PVP for level 40 in the style of Tarro Blood/Shae Vizla; one in gold and one in white/red. After that there is a set from Corellia, and then some random drop sets that come in various colours along with crafted stuff. At end game there is also armour that is similar to what Mandalore uses. A lot of different styles out there. And it doesn't appear until the end of the New Sith Wars, which is 2500 years later.
  2. Which would make every single mission from slicing absolutely useless. I am maxed, and often pay 1700 to run a lockbox mission, which usually includes 1300 credits... a total loss. Augments are the only reason I use it currently.
  3. Cybertech does the mods... but yes, I definitely agree. Cybertech does so much without it, such as the implants, earpieces, speeders, starship upgrades, shields, generators and droid parts. We only make armour... most of which doesn't even sell for the higher levels.
  4. A friend of mine looted a moddable bounty hunter belt from a random NPC on Hoth. Players have also seen them drop on Quesh. They are random and apparently very rare. Not seen any bracers on the market, but they are out there.
  5. He doesn't have to address anything or defend them. A large portion of fans like the prequels. The films are what they are and I don't see any reason for him to come out and apologise to those that felt they were terrible films. Just my opinion. If I make food that some of my guests don't like, I won't say "I'm sorry I made terrible food".
  6. On pricing. Orange belts are very rare. I myself bought an orange belt a month ago (Imperator belt/Bounty Hunter) and happily paid 150k. A week ago I then switched over to another orange belt more fitting to my style (RD-17A Hellfire) and happily paid 190k. People are willing to pay for these things, and if I were you I wouldn't sell it for less than 60k.
  7. Same with my Bounty Hunter. All the schematics I have recieved from UT are locked to Smuggler/Jedi Knight. Not had a single Imperial or faction neutral schematic, and my medium armour crafting schematics are very, very few because of this. Have three for the Smuggler/Jedi Knight, and only one for the Agent/Sith Warrior. I wonder what the thinking behind this is. Encourage cross faction trading?
  8. When I lowered my resolution, I haven't had a single FPS issue -- even with all on high except the resolution (around 1440x900). It's not the engine that causes that issue. Try tweaking the settings and see if it helps.
  9. Been to a warzone recently? I sometimes have a hard time knowing whom to pass the ball to when I have to think quickly. In one match, there was only one Sith on our team that used the red crystal; everyone else had green and blue. And at least two Jedi on the other team had dark robes and red sabres. Perhaps if they had a choice, more of them would use more... appropriate... colours.
  10. Absolutely! In my opinion the colour crystal of red, blue and green for Jedi and Sith (the other classes don't have anything going like the Jedi and Sith, same goes for corruption) should be restricted by faction, not alignment. But that would not be preferable in an MMO. Players want choices. A light side Sith character can't use a red sabre and many people simply want to keep the iconic Sith look while exploring a light sided Sith storyline. Same with Jedi. If I wanted to play a dark Jedi, I wouldn't want to be forced into using red, purple and orange -- I'd like my blue! So then I would have to choose between either going in a story direction I'd rather not go or deal with a colour I really don't want. You should be free to enjoy the story like you want it to play out and keep the look you want. We can turn off Sith corruption -- so why shouldn't we be able to do this? The removal of alignment is therefore a much better option for that reason. You shouldn't have to sacrifice enjoyment in both areas.
  11. From George Lucas's standpoint, it was aimed at children as a primary audience. But that doesn't mean anything, really. The Hobbit novel was written as a children's book, but adults love it. And no, I wouldn't like the films to be another serious, bloody adult film series. I like to think of them as family friendly films that appeal to everyone. Something you can sit down and watch with your kids.
  12. There is something to be said about symbolism. The Sith created synthetic lightsabre crystals of a red colour and used them against the Jedi for thousands of years before the Clone Wars. It became associated with the dark side, and obviously, Jedi wouldn't be carrying a symbol of evil into battle. They could, surely, but why would they wish to use something historically associated with the Sith? And why did Darth Vader switch to a red blade? I think it's quite obvious that after thousands of years of Sith using the colour, it's become a tradition. His master uses red, and so did Plaguis, Tenebrous and Zannah. Bane used both purple and red. And then back all the way to the time of the game and 300 years before it. Edit: and why would a Jedi who is on the dark side suddenly have to use a red crystal? Kind of an obvious way to tell the council about their alignment, don't you think?
  13. If they were steadily losing customers, would they really be releasing content of this scale so early? When on the fleet, I constantly see new people getting their AC figured out or looking for someone to run Black Talon with them. And by constantly, I mean that literally. People are investing the time to gear themselves up for operations. In the game, I haven't heard the "this game is gonna fail bad i'm a going back to wow this sucks". Popluation on the fleet averages at 180 and warzone queues are usually short. It's quick and easy to find groups for flashpoints and heroics. Shortly after early access, it was very hard to find groups for simple heroics. Now you get a group within minutes. I formed an ops group of 16 players on Coruscant to attempt the world boss in about 5 minutes. That's on one server. People often compare this game's numbers to WoW very often, which is very unfair. SWTOR is two months old! WoW has been around for nearly ten years. Two months in, did WoW have a huge population on all servers with end gamers running around all over the place? I doubt that.
  14. I am happy about that lift. Want my bounty hunter to use red bolts, but obviously I can't at the moment because of the alignment. And I know people who play Sith characters on a light alignment but still want to use red sabres. The iconic Sith colour is red, after all. Why should they be forced to deal with Jedi-like crystals or grind to neutral or dark? Colour restriction just isn't working in this area, especially for the non-Sith/Jedi classes. It's not like Leia was on the dark side when she used her pistol in the films, and neither was Han Solo or the rebel soldiers.
  15. The Progenator has a growing roleplaying activity, and on weekends there is always something on Nar Shaddaa. Quite happy with it, and I'm certain it will only grow as the game gets older. There are many people who do roleplay, but right now it happens mostly in cantinas, unless you know someone or are in a guild that take it elsewhere. Been engaging in a lot of different situations in other places. Just a matter of finding it and then not hesitating getting involved. And this game is young. People are enjoying the story and questing. When there are more roleplayers at level 50, you'll see more of it I'm sure.
  16. The PVE set is the one Mandalore wears, but that isn't important. Would love to see some non-Mandalorian sets for some diversity. But anyway. They are going to implement a system soon that allows you to extract armouring from end-game sets and place in a modifiable armour, making them viable at end-game. This means that you could extract from the ugly helmet and place in a good looking helmet that can be modded. Chest to chest. That's the only reason I'm working for these horrid sets. So that I can make my good looking armour viable in the future.
  17. I am a huge proponent of more weapons choices for all classes, but it's not going to happen. The pistols grow on you, even if you'd rather have carbines. And you asked what tank uses a pistol... well, you've got heavy armour.
  18. I wouldn't say too fast, but there are so many ways to level up. My character at the moment is at level 42, but I have not yet done Hoth. Reason for this level is because I wanted a break from questing to do warzones, roleplaying and a few flashpoint runs. It's for the sake of playing with others, not to level up necessarily. It's a bit of a problem, because when I do Hoth I will outlevel everything. Might be 50 before I'm done with Belsavis. And I already have a level 50 character, which took 3 weeks to get to 50 with the average of 4 hours a day, more on weekends. It's too fast when you do more than go through your storyline. That I can agree with. An XP gain toggle option for flashpoints, space and warzones would be helpful when you want a break from questing. Valour, commendations, loot and credits are reward enough.
  19. I'd guess they share a common ancestor... if they weren't from two different planets.
  20. I've done a quest line for Mako on both a female and male Bounty Hunter, but I don't seem to be able to do any for the other remancable character, Torian. Is Mako the only one who gives these, or am I missing something? Thanks in advance.
  21. To be very detailed: Rally Master Merrk Kelborn is the guy you are looking for. Big Mandalorian in a distinctive armour of gold and various other colours with a bald head. Stands just outside the lift from the hangar on the main level of the fleet station, where you enter the first time you are there. You can also find him when you enter the main hall of the Mandalorian Enclave on Dromund Kaas, standing in front of a Krayt Dragon skull that is lit up. He is the first Mandalorian not in blue armour you will see as you enter. Can't miss him.
  22. Interested to learn more about them? That's what I feel, although Fett has a story that interests me. Maul isn't very compelling at the moment, but I'm sure he can be. What's absurd is calling opinions that aren't in agreement with your own absurd.
  23. Yeah, there are plenty! I bought a set of blasters from Taris commendations that are similar in look to the heavy blaster pistols from Kotor. Continually upgrading them and using them at endgame.
  24. I'd say that, besides the "force users are only ones to wield it correctly" argument, there are disadvantages to using a lightsabre by someone who can't predict blaster bolts. A lightdagger would not be a good weapon for assassins because of the loud sound. Soldiers would have to be extremely careful with the weapon, so why would they use it instead of a cortosis/beskar sword? A safer alternative that can do the same things as a lightsabre in the hands of a non-force user, except cut through metal. But that's what plasma torches are for.
  25. You've got a point there -- the Imperial Trooper outfit is exactly what most of the heavy NPCs wear. The Mandos are mostly in the blue, so it makes sense. Less unique, but iconic. While at it, they should up the Trooper uniform to medium armour. Imperial Agents look fantastic in these things. Inquisitors are currently the only ones that can wear this and be competetive. One can hope!
