  1. I am a total Mandohead, but looking at it critically this is what I believe would be the result. Firstly, Exar Kun has a few advantages. He has the force, devout Massassi warriors altered by Sith alchemy, Krath warriors and dark side beasts. Mandalore the Ultimate has technology on his side. Warriors clad in Mandalorian iron suits and Basiliskan droids and starships. We also know the quality of his Neo-Crusader warriors are not all up to Mandalorian standards, since he released prisoners to fight for him and drafted civilians to make up his forces. Exar Kun used stolen Republic and ageing Krath technology. Mandalorians fighting against the Massassi is a pretty easy outcome. The Massassi use melee weapons and projectiles in the form of disks (Lanvaroks) and they lack full armour. The Mandos use full armour suits and most frequently use blaster weapons. The Mandalorians have the advantage there. But in the end, Exar Kun is a clear winner. His mastery of the dark side gives him the power to overwhelm the Mandalorians, and if he can use illusions (like Naga Sadow used to give the illusion of a larger force) he could supplement his forces with that. We know that Exar Kun was one of the greatest duelists and force users of his time. Even a force of fully trained Jedi had to imprison him just to defeat him because they couldn't get close enough to kill him. If the Jedi have little chance, then the Mandalorians have zero.
  2. I can't play the game on my computer anymore (it's an old laptop), but I wish I could. Even though I haven't been able to play for over a month now I still pay the subscription. I believe in this game and look forward to play it again.
  3. I'd like to see a Gank. They are a cyborg species native to Nar Shaddaa. Always seemed interesting to me for some reason.
  4. Absolutely support this. Even if it was just a daily from a terminal with minimal credits and hunting random NPCs, hunting bounties is something we should be doing. Same with the smuggler. They should be able to smuggle. I used the Trandoshan Hunting Rifle. Loved the look of it... and sorely miss it.
  5. I'd probably be pretty unethical. Pay for my groceries or mind trick the clerk to pay it for me? Mind trick the clerk. But I would also do nice things, so I guess I'd be somewhere in the middle.
  6. I'd put Gault up around 40. He seems like he's been running his scams for a long time. Hard to tell with a Devaronian, though.
  7. Yeah, I believe the next big patch is for PVPers. The warzone and new gear.
  8. Problem is, you have to spend up to a million just to get these mods out.
  9. Conquered folks were given a choice to become Mandalorians, later exclusively indoctrinated as Neo-Crusaders by Rally Masters in staging areas, or be slaves in their war forges to make ships, armour, weapons and war droids, which I would think the sick and elderly would be placed in. In the Kotor campaign guide, it's stated that the Neos outnumber the old Crusaders by the end of the war.
  10. When you reach Taris, you get a T-visor helmet through a world quest. Also, the flashpoint "Boarding Party" has a nice helmet. Around level 33 you should have a nice helmet.
  11. There's also the Scarlet Sigil on the Progenitor, which has a Mandalorian-themed division.
  12. After the recruitment of conquered folks in the second year of the war, their forces grew four fold. And all conquered folks were made into Neo-Crusaders. By that time, they had attacked the Republic. Not very likely they were only 50.000 in that time. They made up the majority of Mandalorian forces during the Mandalorian War, and they had become formidable enough to challenge the Republic. Kandosii-type dreadnaughts carried a maximum of 40.000 troops including the crew. So it's well over that number.
  13. I played Kotor, both games multiple times, and I'm not a huge Revan fan. The story of the games aren't centralized on Revan himself if you think about it. It's about a band of heroes who go after an evil Sith Lord and stop him before he can ruin what's left of the galaxy with the Star Forge. Revan gets references throughout the storyline, but it's not until you figure out who you are that Revan gets a central stage. But the Kotor story is about the team out to save the galaxy, not just Revan.
  14. From the Kotor comics... Zayne Carrick: Jedi Shadow (single sabre) Marn Hyerogryph: Scoundrel Rohlan Dyre: Powertech Lucien Draay: Jedi Sage Haazen: Sith Sorcerer
  15. Not all Jedi are Mace Windus and Luke Skywalkers, but I tend to agree. The EU has elevated Jango and Boba to higher levels than they are portrayed in the films. By a lot. Turns out Boba is such a great Jedi killer he taught Jaina Solo how to take on a Jedi. A man who jumped in front of an ignited lightsabre doesn't seem like someone who is all that smart at killing Jedi. The EU has some good things to say about them, but it also has the most nonsensical view on them too. The films pitted them against the very, very best. The EU pits them against many.
  16. I like to think she leaves the Jedi Order and goes away with Lux Bonteri. You can't kill her off. Children love the character.

    Armor

That specific set (the blue with white accents) isn't in the game as a wearable set, but there are several that are close. Mandalorian styles begin around the level 33. You can get a blue one with gold accents on Taris named Mercenary Elite Prototype. There's an alternative option of a golden-olive with blue accents from the same quests.
  18. Yeah, I played mine as a Mandalorian in the storyline. Chose only what a Mandalorian would choose. Eventually, I was up to light III. There's obviously moments where killing someone is more honourable. But every time a family or children are involved, I always chose the light option. Whenever there was something to be settled in a duel, I selected that option. But Mandos are so diverse it's impossible to say what is truly a "Mandalorian choice". You can still be a Mando and be a blood thirsty maniac (Vizsla, Montross, Demagol), and you can be a Mando by being a kind hearted family man (Kal Skirata). Or you can be somewhere in between (Walon Vau). Thank you so much!
  19. Depends on how you define light and dark and which Mandalorians you are talking about. Generally, they are more honourable than light or dark, which in many cases is more light than dark. But then there are Mandos in the storyline that are very dark and there are Mandos that are very light. Mandalorians aren't easy to put into such categories.
  20. Mandalorians are a people who don't follow every single word of a dead leader. It's not like when Canderous became Mandalore he immidiately sought the Sith out because Mandalore the Indomitable had allied himself with Exar Kun's Sith. Same thing with these Mandos. Now, they ally themselves with the Sith. During the New Sith Wars, there were Mandos who worked for the Jedi, and even later during the Legacy era they worked for the Galactic Alliance -- basically the Republic. A lot can change in 300 years.
  21. Perhaps the US accent isn't Republic at all, but standard basic accent? The form taught in schools on worlds with basic as a requirement, much like how the british form is taught in schools in foreign countries in the real world. That is my guess.
  22. Rattataki culture may be brutal and gladitorial, but what if a Rattataki wasn't brought up on Rattatak?
  23. I'd love Chagrians, Feeorins or Kaleesh as a new species.
  24. Revan would of course win a game of chess. Vader was never the brains behind the Empire, he was more of a weapon to keep the galaxy in check. Revan was the brains behind his. If you'd want a fair match, pair him up with Sidious or Thrawn.
  25. There is no Mandalorian race, at least not in this era. The Mandalorians are a movement, a culture and a lifestyle and can come from any species and races. The Taungs, the original Mandalorian species, died out almost 300 years before the game's timeline. I think Rattataki would fit with the Mandalorian lifestyle well, seeing as they are a warrior people themselves.
