  1. I can deal with it. It's just one of those things that really jumps out as weird and strange. I guess, imagine if you we talking to a human npc and they picked up a nearby rock and started snacking on it. It's not that it would bother or offend you, but it just jumps out as strange.
  2. There have been a few threads on this, the universal "sir" is something that sort of rubs most of us veterans the wrong way. It's just one of those things where there are either no veterans on the writing staff, or they chose to make their fictional military significantly different. It's not the only weird thing, like how there's no distinction between NCO's and commissioned officers and how you have military members with long hair and beards.
  3. I think people go about this discussion the wrong way. Everyone focuses on some sort of stylistic concept for a class. I think the question to ask is "what can be added in terms of gameplay and mechanics?" Simply having a non-force using melee class isn't necessarily adding anything to the game. What would make the class different to play? Would they use a new resource system? What would it be? Would they be restricted by ability cooldowns or resource management? What utility would they bring?
  4. This is one of the most inane theories I've ever heard. Taking money out of the economy reduces the prices you can get for CM items on the GTN. Basic economics, people!
  5. Since it's not really an official Imperial organization, I doubt most npc's would know of your status, and expect most of those that did know wouldn't consider it relevant.
  6. I think OP is just trying to hype his Facebook page.
  7. I don't like jumping either, I'm actually pretty terrible at it. But I don't see where it should make that mission hard to complete as pretty much all the jumps are over very small gaps. At worst, just angle your camera down at your feet and jump when you're right at the ledge.
  8. Slicing is unique. With other gathering skills the return is based on what other players are willing to pay. Slicing actually adds credit to the total economy unlike other skills.
  9. What I'm finding on my Merc is that the supposed faster heat dissipation isn't keeping up with my increased heat generation. I have to use vent heat and thermal regulators more often, and frequently use rapid shots to let my heat get back down.
  10. The problem with the OP's suggestion is that there's no accountability for people making those "reports." In practice, all it'd really amount to is creating a venue for flame wars.
  11. Just to add to what others have suggested, you'll still get xp from BH and Section X dailies, you can include those too.
  12. I'd like to point out that the workaround doesn't work very well. The fight works best with the group against the wall. Spreading out led to the healer being knocked back into the fire and dying, causing a wipe.
  13. I agree that the Columi shells for the Juggernaut are hideous. There are actually good moddable options available though. I like the Reinforced Mullinine Chestguard from one of the heroics, I think on Nar Shadaa, and there's a nice chest from the heavy gear vendor on Tat.
  14. If you're having trouble, I'd suggest the following: 1. If you're not a healer, use your healing companion. There's damage throughout the fight, and it's a long fight so it can add up. 2. Ignore the generators. I've beat the fight 3 times out of 4 attempts, and the only time I died was when I shut down the generators. They're an unnecessary distraction. 3. Don't forget your heroic moment. and other cooldowns. 4. Don't rush. As long as you don't stand in the bad, Archon does damage very slowly. Your mission is simply to deal damage to him faster than he does to you or your companion, and that's not difficult as long as you're patient.
  15. That droid is pretty much easy to burn down, so the problem is that you're probably undergeared. In those situations, the heroic moment and unity (if you have it) will usually get you through it nicely.
  16. How's about I can walk into an operation by myself, use 2 attacks on trash mobs until I die, rinse and repeat and still get gear?
  17. I can't think of any way to get Tionese that isn't bound to your character. If you buy it with tokens it's still BoP.
  18. Yeah, I play on the Harbinger and leave general chat off a lot.
  19. That is absurd. Pre-heroics, healing on a sorcerer basically boils down to "keep everyone bubbled." People take so little damage that just healing means you sit there most of the time with full force and nothing to do.
  20. We all know that nexu don't carry credits around, so this way if they don't happen to drop you a pair of pants you can still at least sell some of their teeth.
  21. They're useful for repairs and for selling your junk to. I think the fact that they have stuff for sale is mostly for RP purposes, so they allegedly have a reason to be there beyond fixing your stuff.
