  1. I'm looking to jump off Pot5 next week as well. I'm on the East Coast and was wondering if there was any significant difference between Shadowlands and Jedi Covenant? Thanks in advance!
  2. Yeah...cause a kick-butt Ewok TANK makes so much sense.....
  3. Wrong. No game can take this: "The main reason that I am taking a break from the game is that I have been playing HARD for the last 5 months (Average 5 hours a night, and 12+ on my days off), and I need a break." It's definitely the OP.
  4. Like you were here? http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=721328
  5. This. So this. If you can't see it, then you had a financial stake in one of those 'other' fan sites. And I say this as a fan of the pre-Curse Darth Hater.
  6. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Everquest Next/Landmark. SOE-hate aside, it looks a solid AAA attempt at a true sandbox MMO. Check out the dev diaries...I gotta say, it looks like it has potential. And if it fails, we may not ever see another big budget sandbox MMO for a long, long time.
  7. C'mon mods...we know you can see this. Act like a responsible community team and give your playerbase a response.
  8. I would much rather have events like Bounty Hunter Week, Gree Englave, Rakghoul Plague, etc....than stupid, forced seasonal events.
  9. I'll be honest: story is about 80% of why I play this game (it sure isn't the copy-pasta WoW combat mechanics, rep grind, or borked PvP). When I run out of story and have to resort to doing Dailies, I usually unsub until some new content drops. I'll dabble as a preferred on my alts a bit during this time....but not much.
  10. Didn't CoH experiment with making some of those billboards contain real advertisments? Edit: yes, they did: http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2008/04/city-of-heroes/ Obviously, it made much more sense in a contemporary MMO, than the SWTOR setting.....
  11. While ninja's do indeed suck, I do hope you realize your real problem is right here: "but today doing 6 FPs for 55 in a row" Dude....you're playing the game too much. Maybe after you quit, you might find it fun to come back. But at a rate like that, I'm not surprised you're burnt out....maybe forever.
  12. Bioware's desperation to monetize the dye system to the maximum degree has made it/them the laughingstock of the MMO community. I'm glad to see our player base ease-up on purchasing these packs (evidenced, perhaps, by the dwindling supply), in the hopes that is sends some kind of a message to our Cartel Market overlords. There's money to be made here without once again frustrating your player base with yet another fail idea.
  13. I'm more bothered by the thousands of stationary speeders in the world that are hovering without any sound or animation (steam, engine burn, lights, etc....). It's just one of those little things that makes these gorgeous worlds look like a beautiful, lifeless, stationary paintings.
  14. My personal experience is that STO's model is one of the best out there. After subscribing years ago, I went back and played a bit a few months ago as a F2P player. I swear I didn't notice any difference than when I was subbing. Sure, there are subscriber benefits, but the key is that I didn't notice. Believe me - when I tried SWTOR as a preferred player, I absolutely noticed several restrictions (action bars, character slots, inventory, xp gain) and was convinced it was not for me - so I resubbed. Which of course is exactly what EA/BW wants.
  15. I agree with most of the responses in the thread: Section X isn't bad at all....but Makeb.... Makeb is terrible, and it's really jaw-dropping that the developers designed it this way after knowing mob-density has been complained about in this game since beta. This is their shiny new toy that they are using to pull back in subs, and they've made it worse than any other planet so far. I've played tons of MMOs, and I'm used to killing thousands of mobs leveling up, but I've never ever been as annoyed with mob-density until this game.
  16. Cripes....that's only 250 days! I gotta go live before it's too late!!!!! /logs off and runs outside
  17. I appreciate diversity in armor sets as much as the next guy, but yeah - this is fugly. Hopefully, nobody will waste CCs on these abominations, and their Cartel Market team will get the clue that players will only spend money on cool looking shiz.
  18. I was agreeing with you 100% . Sorry...I don't do snarky frequently enough to be good at it....yet!
  19. VERY well said. You wanna slam the mediocre FPS/MMO hybrid shooter that is STO's ground game? Well fine, let's talk SWTORs Starfox rail shooter space game that is so bad that players were botting it to the point where Bioware nerfed the rewards so hard that there is nearly no point to doing the content. Heck, hardly anybody would use 'fun' as a reason to do said content (though I know there are four of you out there, god bless you). /Golf Clap
  20. I hadn't seen that - thanks for passing that on. Looks like a 'consulting' role, per his comments. It's better than nothing!
  21. Hah...while watching the movie, I actually feared Kirk would recover and wake up with super-human Kahn abilities, beam down, thrash Khan, and then conveniently lose those abilities bit later as his "blood stabilized" or whatever. Thank god I was wrong on that....
  22. Yeah...it's a good thing we don't have: Free-roaming space combat Space PvP Customizable ship exteriors Custom ship names Customizable ship bridges Bridge officer (companion) selection choices Guild star bases Etc.... here in SWTOR. That would be a travesty.
