  1. I didn't think of that, Thanks for the suggestion.
  2. I bought a bunch of stuff before I knew there was a weekly rotation, It would be nice for those of us who got to max season rank if we could somehow earn more to buy more from the season vendor.
  3. I got a referral link so was able to post so thought I'd ask here, Is it worth coming back to this ? What's the health of the game like ? Have the devs given up or do they still put effort in ? I only ask as I don;t want to invest time in something if it's going the way of the dodo some time soon.
  4. Was trying out my new 4K screen and thought to try it with this and when ever I select the resolution the screen goes black, I can see the TOR cursor but that's it. 4K works with nearly every game I've tried apart from some REALLY old ones. If anyone has any info it would be much appreciated
  5. Totally agree with you about the Jedi thing but that only came into being because a lot of kids were kicking and screaming that they wanted faster access to the Jedi class and didn't want to do the very long grind to unlock it, So they brought out the patch/change which ended up with everyone having a Jedi but before that Jedi were very rare because to unlock the class was hard.
  6. Would totally depend on how much you have already collected.
  7. I think your confusing reminiscing and fanaticism, A lot of people like to reminisce as they had really good times with that game and the people they met, If you played it you wouldn't put it down to being "fanatic" so quickly. A lot like to reminisce as one of the main points of that game was community, See this community is filled with a lot of vile, Spiteful, Hate filled little children who say things that if they weren't on a forum would probably land them in the emergency room at their local hospital within 2 seconds of them opening their mouths, Sadly that isn't the case and we can only hope that they eventually grow up. But in SWG the community for the most part was really good and to be honest that's the only part I really miss, This game is just filled with the stereotypical new age douche bag keyboard warriors who love to cause trouble, Troll and be general dick bags to people for no reason other than they are simply sick. That is all this thread is really about, Reminiscing, That and wishing some of the features transitioned over to this game which judging by the next expansion i.e strongholds, It looks like they slowly are
  8. If you would of played SWG for any length of time you would understand that this games devs should of taken some more notes from it. Yes at the time SWG was good and even if it did start up again I doubt I would touch it as it's in the past now but the content and the freedom that the game allowed was far beyond what we can do in this game which is what I was trying to get across which was obviously wasted on the likes of you. It doesn't matter that it's set in a different time frame, Does that mean we should have more of a locked down game and a lot more restrictions in place ? Anyway I was replying to the OP, If you don't like a particular subject like SWG for example then no one is forcing you to post a reply, Simply go away.
  9. You could always turn the profanity filter off Not like your eyes would explode if someone cussed
  10. I transferred a character from an EU server to a US server on a different MMO no problem, WoW to be exact. I would happily pay £20+ to do a complete transfer i.e legacy, mounts, achievements, character etc...of a character from US to EU
  11. 1 thing that would be a nice option on the cartel market would be the option to have all previously collected/unlocked items/mounts etc... be unlocked across your entire account, I know you can unlock individual items across characters but a 1 time purchase to unlock all previous purchases/collectibles/mounts etc... across all characters would be great. Obviously any future unlocks or purchases would have to be bought/unlocked as usual but the option for a "Mass Unlocking" would be a nice addition
  12. Every time I disable the HUD *ALT+Z* the ambient occlusion gets disabled, Is there any way to keep it on when disabling the HUD at all ?
  13. Starsider server here I miss SWG badly, I got there just as the musty expansion hit and fell in love with it, Played it until the day it got taken off line to make way for this excuse of a game. Had my Jedi and BH, Loved doing bounty hunting, I use to pair up with other hunters and track players down together and share the profit across multiple planets. My Mustafarian bunker was my ingame pride and joy, Had it decorated with roughly 6 billion creds worth of stuff, Everyone who went in just said "Pure awesome sauce". Even managed to get the Dantooine prison painting and the last item on my list before the servers were shut down I was just about to get a night sister arm bracer, I had probably every mount, Pet, Armor piece, Weapon and ship that ever existed ingame, Loved collecting. The PvP in Restuss was epic at times, Not this instanced PvP arena crap we have with TOR but an actual planet where you could touch down and run on to the battlefield weather it was as a cloaked spy, Gun touting commando or Lightsaber wielding Jedi. Had every heroic down to a tee, Ran them all in record time, Had all jewelry sets for the different build types. Even space was free roam and not this on rails or instanced pvp non sense, You could actually go around inside your ship whilst in space and look around and then get back in your cockpit, Have friends man turrets whilst you take on the ISD or Rebel space stations or just mass PvP if that was your thing. All that game needed was an engine upgrade, i.e graphics and it still would of been light years ahead of TOR. Don't get me wrong I do like TOR but even now feature set wise it still has a lot of catching up to do to be a true Star Wars game like SWG was and sadly I don't think it will ever catch up to what SWG had, This game feels way too over the top controlled and limited.
  14. Exactly, Shadow and texture resolution are different to screen resolution, Skyrim has had 4K textures since the first day it came out thanks to mods, Same goes for the game RAGE, Many games have for the increased fidelity and they perform well it's just this games 4K shadows are not that well coded and are in dire need of optimization.
