  1. Possibly, but it needs to be made clear, it's listed on the expansion page, and everything else sounds like pertains specifically to the expansion. One would expect it to pertain to the new expansion content with the way it's worded =] I was hoping it actually was going to have class stories again as that does add to replay value...via another class. If you play through with one class, there's not nearly as much incentive to do it again on another.
  2. Having one large story makes sense from a logistics stand point. Having a bunch of separate ones while cool, is a bit more difficult to do, especially when 12.5% are experiencing that content unless they have multiple characters. Having it worded as "Play one of eight class stories enhanced to offer a deeper, more accessible experience purely focused on immersing you in a personal Star Wars story." Makes it really sound like there are 8 separate stories, so seems a bit misleading if it's only one big story with slight differences based on class. Curious to see how different they end up actually being.
  3. I've not been following things too closely lately. Been waiting for some more info on the expansion. I resubbed to get the extras a while ago. My question is that if they aren't doing class stories anymore, why does the KotFE website, specifically say they are? I found that bit confusing. I thought maybe it meant they were going back to each class having a story with the new expansion. Is this incorrect? Seems like that should be removed from the website if that's the case.
  4. While the title is a neat idea, I think it kinda sucks making it 24 hours only. I'm about to head off on a two week vacation so that means I won't have the option of buying this. It's a shame there's not an option to purchase cartel items through the website for this reason.
  5. It makes sense to use locations as sense since it saves a fair bit of construction cash to spend on the FX. It doesn't look like a collider since it's not. It uses lasers to heat a fuel to crazy temps. It also makes sense to me that the FTL parts would not be located in Engineering, just the reactor that powers them. You'd think the FTL engine components would be located in the nacelles. *shrugs* I caught some sort of show on one of the science channels that was showing behind the scenes stuff from the movie as well as discussing some of the science behind it as well, that was where I caught the bit about the NIF. The people there really seemed stoked about it. On another note I just read that both Starfleet ships had SWTOR voice actors on the bridges. Gatt on the Enterprise and Nolan North (male consular) on the Vengeance.
  6. "I'm sure the latest iteration of the engine room was intentionally based on photos of supercolliders/ nuclear reactors, and the other engineering spaces of the ship are based on submarines. " The engineering room is actually an in the works fusion reactor. They went to the facility, gave it some star trek branding (stickers and such) and then used it for the set. That's one of the things I thought was awesome was...it's an actual reactor. Plus there was a scene where they're running catwalks and there's these huge silo style tanks in the back, I was sitting there thinking Mmm beer. I know one of the beer factories served as portions of the Enterprise in the first one, so I'd imagine that's what's in those tanks. Here's some links about it... one says the beer facility was Anheuser Busch http://www.livescience.com/34480-star-trek-film-national-ignition-facility.html https://www.llnl.gov/news/newsreleases/2013/May/NR-13-05-05.html http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie-talk/star-trek-boldly-goes-unlikely-real-life-locations-153158175.html Also glad someone finally commented about Gatt as that was in my first post =P
  7. Well the Spock dying scene was in this one...except a little different =P
  8. Yeah it sorta was a remake to a degree. Same character, but a fair bit enough different that it didn't feel like a pure remake. I was laughing about some of the Mass Effect similarities as well.
  9. Yep, hopefully they stick to the same quality as well. I was sitting there staring at that bridge officer thinking he looked like the one who voiced Scourge, and when it finally did a closer shot I was all "Yep that's him"
  10. Now if they'd only add full body tattoos for the races that really need them. currently the covert stuff doesn't interest me, but if my Zabrak had a full body tattoo, it might interest me a fair bit more.
  11. did anyone else notice Lord Scourge on the Enterprise bridge? Pretty good movie, has me looking forward to seeing what Abrams does with Star Wars.
  12. I also found the dye system seriously lacking. Having checked out some of the available dyes as well, I find that the majority of them are horrendous. I'll probably be keeping the majority of my gear the original color. The colors are too bright and some of the combos are just odd. I prefer muted earth tones and we got very little of that.
  13. I'm all for any expansion to the LFG system. I was disappointed to see the older ops fall off the selections just because I gained a level. I've still yet to do some of those and would really like to have them as options.
  14. Not being usable on cyborg is kinda dumb. Then again I'm still unsure why cyborg was a race and not customization options for every species. The new hairstyles should have really been usable by any species with existing human styled hair.
  15. Like the previous poster I was going to reference GW2 as well. The interface is easier to use and you're free to choose whatever armor colors you want. It's not a color wheel but some predetermined colors to choose from. You're not nickel and dimed either. Making the CM purchase random is ******. I was also checking out the collections system thinking "hey this is pretty cool" then I realized that after having purchased a set if you wanna use it on another character, you're nickel dimed even more. Really? The appearance kiosk is fairly well done, over priced, but again I'm disappointed few new options were added. I'd still love the option to choose multiple scars. I'd love to see a way added to earn CC either via an exchange like a few other games do, or just a simple way to earn them. Perhaps trading comms for them, since you usually reach a point where they become worthless.
