  1. I think it was just some words he found in an abandoned trash can in an alleyway... (However I agree that I can kill Arsenal BHs who have trouble with typing.)
  2. Well if four people leave, we already know that four people who weren't really going to work for their victory are out. Now if enough of the fillers aren't like that, odds should be pretty good, no?
  3. There's a simple fix to that though; just make raid gear have the same stats as normal level 50 gear plus a pve-only stat.
  4. I'd agree that they're fairly good compared to some others. I've played a scoundrel to 50 too and I'd even go so far as to say that in warzones, the Sentinel/Marauder vanish, if talented to 100% immunity, is more useful than the Scoundrel/Operative's. (However, that's only possible in one spec.) But yeah I'm usually arguing that the Sentinel/Marauder feels fine when I play one so you'd not expect me to say their panic buttons aren't good enough, no? ;-)
  5. Okay, in this case you're right... However I would like to point out that some classes have DoTs that also heal them and/or their allies while they're doing damage to the target.
  6. Well they would just roll sages and talent the 5m range increase that they get... FFS not everything that kills you in ways you don't understand is one sided or a bug.
  7. A lot of what he writes works as a mid level character. It's a panic button for when they steal aggro from the tank, most DPS classes in this genre get them. In PVP of course these abilities are something entirely different.
  8. Well, if you focus a guarded healer who heals himself, the tank will eventually just die as a side effect...
  9. EVE. 99% crafted equip, partial loot (other part gets destroyed), tons of reasons for pvp, balanced even for new players...

    so basically

If you put it that way...
  11. Ah okay then, I play melee classes... But I'm pretty sure I've been doing damage to BHs up there...
  12. I wasn't aware of an exploit there. I like to stand on top of the turret but I jump down when someone approaches so I can get the drop on them more easily (it's kinda hard when you're clearly visible on top of the turret...) Can't say I've noticed anyone being invulnerable there either, as in I've just stood in front of the turret often enough and hit people with melee attacks even though they were on top of it...
  13. As long as you're not taunted anyway...
  14. I don't do much PVE, I don't think I've ever played my tank shadow in PVE (solo doesn't count). The tooltip says it redirects incoming damage from enemy players. Maybe the tooltip is wrong. I've literally only seen the PVP side of it and it does what it says there...
  15. I've seen instructions here, not tried them myself though... All of the "proof" screenshots I've seen so far though were the scoreboard with more than 8 people on one side. Which is something that naturally happens when people quit or get booted and someone fills in. Not going to argue with people who posted how to reproduce it. It's either there or not and everybody who gives a damn can go check it out. But it's sure hard to find real evidence for it on these forums. Like you know a screenshot with more than 8 people in the same team on it. If you want to get this fixed, post screenshots that undeniably show it and can't be explained away and make sure everybody can find them easily.
  16. You're missing the part where it was specifically engineered to work in the way it currently does in PVP. It works completely differently in PVE as it doesn't actually do the 50% damage transfer there.
  17. Sure but if they kill at their own turret then everybody will at least get the defense medals... that sort of thing... running around solo may or may not get you an assassin medal that you'd have a harder time getting at a node but that's about it. (I regularly get assassin medals from being the only one who stayed at the turret and killing their stealther though.)
  18. Like another poster in this thread has pointed out, the Sentinel gets a skill that makes Master Strike root the opponent as well. That should probably be available to Guardians as well. Fairly simple solution that is already in game for for another class.
Loot?
  20. You can actually have 100+ expertise even before you hit 50 if you buy the PVP weapons and rip out the expertise enhancements. If you do enough warzones this is definitely viable and you can still have your 1000/1000 comms and your bag in the bank. On characters that I PVP a lot on I cap out merc commendations in the 30ies despite buying gear and boxes along the way. I still agree there should be some sort of level 50 PVP gear you can start buying in your forties like you can do with the level 20 and 40 gear. It doesn't have to be great, just good enough to prevent players who mainly PVP from having to resort to PVE to become halfway competitive again once they hit 50.
  21. The current situation is, though, that you're not farmed in the 10-49 bracket. At least I'm not. I get the impression I have a chance and can make a difference at early levels... 10-20 may be somewhat hard but by then, most classes start to get their tools... Even if you feel you need to reach level 30 or 40 before you can hold your own in a warzone, you can reach that point in one or two days. I don't think it's the case and I believe starting early is the better way to learn your character, but if you don't agree with me on that, one weekend will take you to a level at which you feel comfortable in warzones. And the other thing is that even if level 49 characters are trying to farm warzones, they will eventually drop out of the bracket. I mean I can see how you could coordinate with some friends and then spend a few days facerolling everybody in a level 46+ premade but it doesn't seem to happen that much. After all if you're the type of player who would consider this fun, you want to reach 50 and gear up there as soon as possible.
  22. I didn't say I'd expect you to do anything like it, I just mentioned it because that's another different point in the ToS and it's not affected by the status of a PVP server as a PVP server. In fact it even mentions that "role-playing is not an excuse". Obviously telling them to turn to the dark side isn't an insult at all though...
  23. Griefing is technically against the terms. I don't really know if solo ganking people like this on a PVP server qualifies, though. I know I wouldn't even try to report you. To be on the safe side, don't insult them in chat.
  24. Valor rank doesn't really say much though, only my level 20 and lower characters are below valor rank 30... and they'll hit 30 the instant they hit clevel 30 (stupid valor rank cap...)
