  1. Would people pay a monthly subcription to play a completely single player game?
  2. If she returns, my SW will reject and/or kill her. As far as I'm concerned, the letter she sent was a breakup. She knows I'm not dead, she's a force user, she'd sense our death through the force. If the voice actress isn't in the credits, I'd assume that she won't even be in future story content.
  3. I wish more players had your attitude. I hope you continue to try operations and meet good folks out there, and I hope you don't let the troublemakers that you will run into ruin the fun you had.
  4. The most disappointing thing for me is this: The solo players that are so adamant about being anti-group that they are in my opinion, worse then the majority of the players here. They are the elitist, stuck up bastards they claim to be trying to avoid. I have made the above statement as generic and non personal as possible. If it made you mad, why, unless you feel it describes you? In which case...well. Maybe you should lighten up.
  5. The argument that was used was "this is a solo story based game and how dare Bioware make people do group content" and "go play a different mmo if you want group content". The folks who like group content are doing that already. Their subscriptions matter, too. Those who just play solo - well just look at the game experience! 8 diverse class stories whittled down to one generic story on rails. Like it or not, paying $15, playing through the story and unsubbing to wait for the next story isn't a business model that lets Bioware develop engaging story content. People may hate " elitists", but they support the game too. Look at the content, the cartel packs, the bugs, the customer service, the community... They SUCK.
  6. This right here. I don't do older flashpoints anymore, because I play tanks and healers. At least I can enjoy soloing on my tank characters. The star fortress heroic is alright, because I can use my companion to heal or dps - and group up with any one else of any spec and have a good time.
  7. In which case, the person trying to send you an invite will get a notification that you are in a group and that's that. It must be terrible to have to put up with people in a game trying to be helpful and friendly. (I had to say it)
  8. I went back to the vanilla WoW private server I played on, still packed with people, going to spend some time there. Nostalrius! Also back to GW2, going to level a ranger and check out the changes, might buy the heart of thorns expansion if I have fun. After the live stream, I see nothing worth subbing for, so I'm down to preferred status? Hope you find a game you enjoy!
  9. Yeah, your right. I lost sight of the point I was trying to make. Basically, before the expansion there were *normal* flashpoints with a queue filled with tank/healer/dps. Also they'd been out for months (years?) and almost everyone knew what they were doing. Made it easy, and as a healer, the queue wasn't long, almost instant. Now? Everything is all messed up, and people don't have patience - if a healer player can't multitask or be godmode, the companion can/could. Making a healer character to get fast easy groups a thing of the past. Hope that makes sense? Sorry for rambling.
  10. I don't like the tactical mode of flashpoints now. My opinion on how people should play does not always reflect the reality, or the skill level of the players I got stuck in a group with as a healer. Having to spam heals on myself to avoid being killed by the boss or group of mobs while the rest of the group chases butterflies wasn't a lot of fun, so I just stopped doing it. Likewise on a tank in a flashpoint without a healer and dps picking targets at random makes it hard to kill a group before I die...I could go on, but it's been said. I just don't run tactical flashpoints anymore, and I lost faith in my ability to complete the hardmode flashpoints due to the horrible experiences in tacticals... As for soloing with a healer + companion, I'm sure it can be done just fine, but I prefer to be the one smashing faces when I'm out soloing Agreed? What is your argument with me? everyone in this game is slightly anti social, stop pretending
  11. I wont bother playing my healer anymore. I made her specifically to do group content. She's not needed. Soloing with a healer and companion isn't my thing. I love my tank though. I haven't tried a dps since the expansion, not sure I want to. It's fine, I'm just putting all my time into my two tank characters. Once I max out their alliances, I'll have nothing else to do in game until the next chapter of story content comes out. I can solo the weekly heroics, and that's all I do, since grouping is too much to ask - I get occasional runs for the star fortress heroic, but since I already got the required completions out of the way, I just run solo mode. Not very engaging, but eh. Like people say. I can watch YouTube videos while my companion kills stuff.
  12. But will they stay up? The question of the hour! What did they break this time?
  13. I like to play grindy content with some good music goin! One good thing about the new (old?) kotor style alliance interaction is I don't have to turn down the music to hear my character anymore I love dance/techno the best. Are there any Paul Van Dyk fans out there? Maybe VNV Nation? What type of music do you listen to while playing? (If any)
  14. I don't think they care. They want nothing to do with other players in their game, and they choose to not adapt to game mechanics. That's their right. I think that it might not kill them to turn their arguments around and try to see things from another perspective, but not everyone is capable of doing that. I come from a multiplayer background, and I sorta accept that in a multiplayer game, I might have to group up to do some content or get past game mechanics. I don't see it as a reason to quit playing. Some do.
  15. This one made me laugh. I think that is the point, tho. It's funny, why be annoyed?
  16. You know what? Never mind. I had something to say, but there is no point.
  17. I think the reason they haven't may be coding. KOTFE isn't available to free-to-play accounts, right? But they can still use the group finder? I don't know, I'm a subscriber. If I'm right, it might be a bit more of an issue then just adding to the existing group finder. Just a thought.
  18. http://money.cnn.com/2012/11/16/news/companies/hostess-closing/ This comes to mind. I agree with your point, but.. There has to be some understanding from both sides. If too many people quit "to prove a point", At what point does the company just give up the fight? I imagine that if Bioware shut down the game as a result of a mass loss in subs/money, that everyone would be unhappy. That isn't the goal, but I can see it being possible if too many people try to " withhold money to effect change". They may not get the change they wanted.
  19. I don't understand what you are saying, really. On the subject of ninja looting, though; Would a system of "personal loot" work for people? For example: everyone who participated in a boss kill would have a personal token that may or may not be awarded based on RNG. They could take the token to an NPC vendor to buy a piece of gear they wanted. No ninja looting, no having to take the chance that something you needed would be "stolen" from you. Would that work? Would people still bother with raids if "real loot" didn't drop? Any thoughts? I haven't dealt with this issue in years, since I don't raid anymore. Just curious, is all.
  20. I, myself, can not think of any reason to do this. Except to be blatantly anti-social and rude. Is there a reason for this type of behavior, other then being a jerk?
  21. I was posting a general reply. I will edit my post to reflect a completely non personal message. Don't take offense. Sigh, having to be completely generic in every sentence in attempt to not piss people off is a new thing. I suppose it helps me work on grammar. To parody HK-55..."Query: Why are meatbags so indignantly obstinate?" (or maybe it should be obstinately indignant?)
