Get `em!

On my Jedi Guardian I just went through the nine chapters of KotFE. I expected to get my old companions back, but only got T7. Do I ever get Kira Carsen back? I mean, she's the one I groomed to influence level 28 by painstakingly grinding crew skill missions to shower her with gifts. That cost a lot of effort and credits. If I now can't use her I'm not sure I have the patience to raise another companion to a high influence level.

I didn't have any trouble renaming 5 characters after returning to the game. You can look to some theme for inspiration. I used botanical names of plants or variations thereof. Leuconeurus, Fabaceo, Crassulac, Nucifera, Acanthopanax. Not that difficult. There's only hundreds of thousands of plant names so better get em while you can :0

Finished my class story on BH, having the problem with Blizz and Skadge not being marked as completed conversations. I have no blank missions in my mission log. Seems I'm screwed for KotFE on this char, which is ironically hilarious because I'm only playing through this char because my main has the Ziost mission bug. Just got this bug on my Jedi Guardian. I was like "Wierd, for the first time ever I have no purple quest? Uhhh...."

I've accumulated 998/1000 Common Data Crystals, so I decided to go visit a vendor and pre-buy a set of Outlander Force-Lord's gear. No dice - have to be level 65 to even buy them, I'm only 59. Soooooo, what can I get with crystals that isn't a waste? Not interested in speeders, pets or cosmetic items. Creature mount may be of interest. I just want to spend them usefully so I can earn more as I continue to level, and not have them poof because I'm already at 1000. TIA for suggestions.

Leveling Content - "companion's role shouldn't matter" - please take a look at the Bounty Hunter class quest in which the player has to win the grand melee to be a part of the Great Hunt. There are 4 strong opponents versus the player. I couldn't do it post-patch with a healing Mako. Tried again with her set on tank and barely scraped by. Maybe my results are not typical but this is something for you to consider. Heroic 2 Missions - seems balanced pretty well, I breezed through the Hutta ones with Mako tanking and myself as an Arsenal Merc. They are starter planet ones so I expected them to not be too hard. On the next planet Dromund Kaas they were a little harder but just required more care about target priority and being prepared. On Makeb with my level 58 (capped at 56) Jedi Guardian, Vigilance discipline, with full Fractured Pummeler's MK-2 gear (rating 148), and healing Kira at influence level 24, I managed to solo a Heroic but found it a challenge and I had to run away from a couple fights where a patrolling elite wandered in. As it was my first time ever in that mission I am satisfied with that level of challenge. I don't remember the name of it but it's the one where you have to broadcast false orders, then beat up fallen Jedi, assassins, and finally Mandalorians.

Honest question, what is meant by well-geared? AFAIK, gear has no effect on companions now, it's purely cosmetic. At least if you mouse-over their gear it tells you companion stats are not affected by it. So if someone could clarify how gear affects companions if at all, I would appreciate it.

Gotta keep expenses down at the moment so I can't blow $79.99 CAD on Fallout 4, much as I'm a big fan of the series. Kicking myself that I did not buy Witcher 3 when it was 33% off on Steam recently. Also,,, Otherland MMO?! Wow, thanks for the heads-up. They really need to advertise because I've never heard of this before now. I loved those books too, I might pick it up seeing as it can be had for the price of one month sub to SWTOR

Hmm, tried FFXIV when it launched, as we all know it was quite a stinker at that time. But how much better can it be now, unless they completely rewrote the game? Do they still have those weird "leve" things that are basically just kill tasks with no story? Is WoW very accessible to people who are just starting now? How much grouping is required?

I'm canceling my sub, can anyone suggest another MMO that's fun and rewarding to play?
