In a stand up 1v1 no u wont out dps a sent... in pvv yes gaurdian besides a pyro bh/ is a very flexible class that i belive can beat just about anyone. Each class takes doff tactics diff cds to use first,, but a vig guardian has the tools def. And within thevig tree (momentum) is huge to be good... im at the point jn pvp where if a premade see me i get ff down before hte healer.. if the dont im pulln that healer away and im gonna lay down some dps.. ( as long as its not a smug/op)

As most have said they really arnt has hard as we put them out to be.... the thing is as vig guardian we have a chance to frontload alot of our dmg just like sents on any class.. With sents/mara. Ur goal isnt to frontload but to essential make the second strike.. they force push? U either awe.. and then run away... then force leap.. now u front load ur damage... most good, auraders will do one of two 1 cloak... bc they cant cc u bc of momentum... in which NP you still have force push! 2 burn the invinceble cd or saberward ...if its the lattwe who cares dps throught it..if its the god mode.. guess what FP then DONT leap .. wait till its done then re engage... now u have the upper hand ..again They really arent hard guys... gaurdians are just that.. they have tne means to dispatch any class (maybe except a good pyro) at anytime with our necessary skills .. i truly feel like a jedi as guardian i can face any enemy and if played right we can and should win..(gear dependent of course) u guys want to know how to beat diff classes sart a discussion and im sure peeps will put some info down

4/33/4 is good i look it at this way.. you want at minimum 30% crit unbuffed..75% surge and 100% accuracy after that all is goes into power..i know it may be hard.. i it took me over 1mil creds remodding the rakata gear and drops from denova to ensure i reached that. power will be your best bet.. but to give you a goal, the above is a good target to shoot for. i bought the 30% trinket.. didnt like it so i bought the power one and i use the matrix cubes.. for a vig guardian the p[ower seems to be the best for me especially during nuke phases where im using nothing but BS/OHs and master strike. insight is good. but you shouldnt need it if you get your crit w/o smug buff to around 30%..smug gives you 35% force rush makes BS/Dispatch a 05% chance to hit.. pretty sweet... if you feel u cant get that yet put 1 or 2pts into insight to help witrh force rush consistency

glad your asking for help but of you have a level 50 rage(focus) jugg then ..dont you know the answer?

lose some accuracy enhancements and get some crit.. seems like ur doing fine... idk what type of gear you are in. but just as an example.. you could have a bit better than me: with just my knight buff ,y damage top end is 912 im at 30.09 crit 75% surge and 100.09 accuracy and 426 bonus damage. ive ripped alot of power surge mods out of just about anything and i ended up getting the chest peice on keph normal and did some toying around with that... interesting enough you have more power than me im at 343. its just a matter of getting better gear now for me ..

yes.. i dont think he has all the facts.. the only force moves are force sweep bs... oppurtune strike..pommel strike and plasma brand... and all of our dots.. and force stasis ..push etc.. DIspatch is not a froce move but a melee ability . hence why on some occasion it work extremely well with gather strength

if u want the war hero gear fopr looks.. and stats it will do you fine.. if you are trying to min max.. you will need to get the war hero gear and any critted orange gear and add the war hero mods/armoring/ and augment to that orange crit gear.. ideally.. you should be fine.. even with out the augmented gear its negligible.. but to each it own.

i think these are viable .. but in a straight up dps race full vig is going to blwo these kinds of builds out of the water bc of the trailing dots of PB etc.. and full vig is viable in pvp to.. so its really a matter of which way do you want to swing the pendulum.. more pve focused--full vig.. trying to pvp/pve one of the above builds

it could work i wold do a few things: if this is the spec you intend to go with here is what i would do. take the point out of gather strength and put it in defiance take the 2points out of OHS dot and move them to commanding awe.. 4% mitiagtion allaround is hard to pass up and so is A talented FD

ATM if you try for 100% accuracy your other stats will suffer... im in full rakata 146 legs and have a 146 level wep and my accuracy sits around 98,78 % what i did do however, i went 4/33/4 pretty standard.. but i put 1 pt into the force/melee accuracy .. it went a long way.. yes accuracy is important but its not as game braking as say wow was.. if your sitting above 98% you will manage..i tried to push it to 100 and my overall dps just droppped.. bc a: damage range was low.. ( unbuffed with just my kniight buff --i have 1 toon my top end range is 930).. getting to 99-100% accuracy it dropped to about 850-860 and bonus damage was around 375 rather than 430 as it currently is b: crit is low so, but as above poster said.. if you get insignt get your crit around 25-27 which means your force crit is around 27-32 depending on insight allocation-- which further means with force rush you will probably hit with BS 87-92% of the time.. not to shabby if you dont pick up insight.. get it as close to thirty as possible and then focus on power/str c: surge is negligible.. again this is not to say 100% accuracy shouldnt be the target yes i know it should... but you can survive with 98%+ until you get some top end gear

Thats Awesome .. and im not here to refute that if it works for you great.. but i can pull that same feat being 4/33/4 with vigilance with doing a little stance dance---combat focus-- saberward- FD--health pack- enure -- awe-- and id prolly end up with the same result and maybe a littie more if wanted to do damage or just go down. but i think its great you found somehting you like ... but the gaurdian is a ver flexible class that at one GCD we can go from 34% dmg reduction and 4% elemental/internal to 51%+ DMG red adn 10%+ elemental and with FD have over 65% DMG red and pver 25% elemental and as you alluded to dont let us pop saber ward while FD is up and we are in soresu.. practically good game as we increase dmg mitigation even more. im glad it feels heroic .. i tend to feel more heroic when im smakcing things around and i see a big grp of imps and i switch into soresu .. lol makes me feel like a jeedi master all of a sudden that i can just go from one form to the other effectively. one thing you have for you that im sure helps is is warding call.. but is such a long CD BH shield are 2min.. so thats what has deterred me from that type of spec.

get the to blow there trinket first.. as a vig guardian if i can do that its fair game.. and i save awe for the moment that they pop out of stealth .. with out that trinket,.. back up 10m ..fore leap.. they are rooted.. MS- OH slash if by some means i had to blow my trinket ( which i should bc focus def works in stuns now) then im a gonner.. but if they blow there first i tend to win most.

1- thing you didnt read my post.. bc if u did you would realize i use awe every pve encounter try soloing a heroic 2 in vigilance spec without using awe.. almost impossible and trust me ... i jhave all rakata gear.. the chest peice from the last denova (keph) aand a level 146 weapon ( i traded in my battle master) ... --see what i did there.. in just a paragrpah i disproved.. 1- that i dont know about pvp as im valor rank 79 and two i dont know how to pve: keph doesnt excactly hand out his chest pieces 1 thing to note i actually complimented you.. i commend you for using the skill.. but as i said im a functional person..using a skill strictly for pve.. as i ssaid in my post is not functional and is no factor a check on my skill level-- ^^ i really dont agree with that whatsoever: because i don't use every skill on my toolbar and available to me im not good lol really.. get a grip... there is so many ways to refute that but thats not the point.... my point was to give a suggestion on what i do and how much i feel its easy . again good pts.. but take some time to read.

not saying its wrong... but its clunky.. im a functional person.. if i cant use the move in pvp and pve.. whats the point of having it on my toolbar.. i have change toolbars every time a WZ que's and every time i do an H2... it may work for you but not for me.. -there is no really "caveat" as you say.. a benifit for me is a mopre streamlined experience. i can world pvp/que for wz and do pve.. w/o saying ahh crap ive got to move two moves off my tool bars or shift over. im not refuting you by all means bc its def.. factual and its a TTK increase ... but anyone can do fine with out it if they follow a suggestion ( merely a suggestion) of what i did.. and lastly it doesnt work on elites which are what most heroic 2s are made up on.. i may have stretched the topic but i was basing it off of endgame dailies.. and such you shouldnt really need to use oppurtune strike on regular mobs IMO. so as you say it does wonders and oppurtune strike hits hard.. but id rather be functional we have enough moves as it is on the toolbars as is.. and a move that essentially i can only use during half of my gaming experience.. ehh not for me

Focus .. never ever shield -as far as gearing.. id never put power augments into the slot str gives a better overall return - as far as mods and enhancements: you want to get power/surge as high as possible in pvp gear Like 980+ exp if your surge is 72-75 dont touch it your on the right track.. stick w/e you can squeeze out into power.. lastly its debatable, especially if you have the smugg buff.. to get your crit unbuffed around 25-27 range..and with the smug buff 30+ this is real basic if you want somthn really in depth feel free to respond. ive pvp as vig since day one. si ican try and help

Few other tips.. as some mentioned you dont need dust stomr its wasted points for a vig gaurdian... gear up doc as most mentioned asap. and lastly, gaurdiabs are fevery gear dependent it wasnt until i got into 50% colunmi that i could solo any heroic 2 out there... Now that im in all 140 armor and 58 enhancements and a 146 wep is eazy mode... one comment and this is debatable: 1- somone mentioned to learn pommel strike etc. i disagree.. with any encounter.. target the strong mob/ weak( if its a nromal encounter) saber throw-force leap- force sweep- then use AWE.. now all of your mobs ( if they aren't droids are CC for 6 secs.. i guarantee that during this time frame u can kill 1 strong.. if its heroic or at least 2-3 weak mobs. then its a matter of just dpsing the left overs.. making sure doc keeps you up and if need be you use CD's try it.. sure its OBVIOUS but it works and has made things extremely efficient in solo play

Like most said vig is good with a compegent player.. dang near unstoppable with a great player..and immortal when being guarded.. ( i have had some tanks gaurd me as im well known on my server and was just to easy) However our biggest problem oppenent by far is a pyrotech a good pyrotech will probably win the majority of matches
