  1. I haven't played this game in a while and can't play the DLC til Sunday so I don't know what's going on yet but I will tell you my attitude towards something like this. Now I currently play WoW and this game, I enjoy both and I have plans to continue playing them. I play a DK and a monk in WoW and to be honest I have to possibly be one of the worst DKs ever to touch the game haha but my guild still accepts me into raids and my other friend's guild usually invites me over to come help them in theirs. I don't know why but their attitude towards this is the same as mine in a sense. I may be doing lowest dps in the entire instance (sometimes I top out but that isn't common). Anyone who is still playing WoW will understand that my average 40k dps is a deserving slap in the face for a frost DK. That's not my point however, the point is we are still downing the bosses, we are still enjoying the game, and we know what we're doing and they will not abandon me regardless of how bad I do. They've improved me in ways i didn't think I could and now I am one of their top dps leads in raids and PvE events (though I can't play a DK in PvP to save my life). This isn't a "WoW vs SwTOR Comparison" again, no, my point is that you should be enjoying the game as it is whether or not your class got nerfed. Believe me, I have friends who got the worst nerfbat for their class and they are still topping out as lead DPS in certain scenarios because they can adapt to the changes quickly no matter how bad it was hit and come back up if you just learn the new rotations/talents. A nerfbat won't last long and pretty soon, I guarantee people will complain about Assassins doing OMGNERF dps. It's just a matter of adaptation, it's been like that ever since MMOs were released and stuff like this happens all the time. Just relax and be passionate about your class, you stuck with it for so long so you should dedicate yourselves to play it through the rough. I play an Assassin too, and I've played Deception ever since I hit 50 and never switched. I've never been called out for being a terrible DPS when assassins were nerfed way back when and it didn't bother me at all.
  2. I honestly wouldn't blame you. I just recently subbed back a week ago and already I'm feeling bored. Not to mention, I still see bugs that were around when I left 4 months ago and our server (Harbinger) facing serious issues that should have in no way happen. Recently, I've subbed to WoW also and quickly I have been having more fun there than here. I still like this game for PvP though, and honestly making alts in this game is just getting repetitive and boring. A lot needs to be done that it already has to make this game more enjoyable again.
  3. You did something great, it's a good thing you jumped off the ship before it sunk. I'll do the same whenever my time runs out. At this point, a lot of people are fed up and gave up on Bioware. I can hardly blame them. This game is dying already, and it probably will hold less than 400k subs come January. I honestly can't think of a way this game will come back unless Guild Wars 2 fails (which it won't) and everyone jumps back on.
  4. This game needs to hurry up and go free-to-play already. Paying $15 a month for stuff like this is literally throwing money away. I'm not a hater, just a realist. Considering how bad the communication has been from BW and horribly negative player reception lately not to mention more layoffs and inevitable failure has proven this game will not last much longer if it keeps going like this.
  5. Don't forget about pillar lores, they're way more important than bugs that have been around since LAUNCH. The lack of communication and worthless information from them lately has been astounding.
  6. What is this? 3 weeks straight Q&A with no questions or answers about the future of this game at all. The only thing that's been up is a stupid companion that's coming in who knows how long. These aren't even questions worth answering, and the questions that should be answered for 3 weeks have been ignored. I really have to say I cannot see a future for this game at this point if it keeps going like this. I love this game, subbed for 6 months and stayed subbed because I was waiting to see what would happen. I've seen it go through horrendous times and to be honest it's getting way worse. Worthless Q&As and no communication at all is just a start, beta bugs and lag issues are still there and have been there since day 1. Why are you guys answering lore questions when there are 6-7 other pages of questions asking about hood toggles and chat bubbles, or questions about PvP? This is ridiculous, the stuff you answered aren't even good. I don't care about the lore of pillars, just give us some insight on how this game is going to succeed for the next few months.
  7. This game just needs to go free-to-play already, and with the previous layoffs and bad reception it's looking that way pretty soon. I'm not a hater of this game by any means, in fact I loved it for a long time. I'm just looking at the game from the realist standpoint and at this point in time it'd be better off to just go free to play. A companion will probably not bring people back when people have been crying and begging for DAY 1 BUGS to be fixed and has been untouched ever since.
  8. I honestly have to agree with the video, I have been subbed to this game ever since I got it, which was about a week or so after launch. I loved it. It was awesome, but that experience was only from leveling. Now, I have a few 50s and a highly geared Assassin that have experience everything. I've beaten all the OPs, FPs, and there is simply nothing to do anymore. I have not logged in for a few days and the communication from Bioware is basically non-existent. There have been so many bugs since day 1 that BW have completely ignored even up to now that people keep bringing up and tossed around. These new layoffs and mess ups and not to mention the pointless Q&A answers that answer really nothing at all makes me even wonder how people can still play this. The only people that still play are literally Star wars fans or those who seriously have nothing else to play or hasn't experienced everything yet. I've been supportive of BW since 1.2, been patient with them and have waited and waited for something new but the news so far has completely degraded my patience. Long story short, I got very bored and BW is beginning to fail, and fail hard. More and more unscheduled maintenances are appearing every week and like I said before the answers for the Q&A are absolutely stupid and has nothing to do with the state of the game.
  9. Deception in GENERAL needs a big buff. I play Deception and stay on Deception because I love the way it plays. It feels fun and really 'brutal' watching Voltaic Slash over and over. It just never gets boring. I love watching 4.5k-5.3k numbers pop up on my screen at every shock, maul, discharge or assassinate and I love how I can literally 4 shot people in PvP with this spec. I love how it plays and yes I have switched to Madness but I found it way too similar to Darkness tanking and I quit tanking for the sole reason for it being absolutely boring. I don't want to switch specs, I just want the one I'm using to be at least viable for endgame content. I'm geared so well now that I don't even have to worry that I'm playing the weakest DPS class in game because even my weakest attack hits very hard anyway. Just buff Deception, add a bleed effect to Maul or something or make 5 stacks of Discharge reduce target's armor for X amount of time... Something to make us not so useless.
  10. My guild is friendly for the most part. I've been lucky enough to be in a mature guild and very laid back, and there's always 1 person in my guild who would make everyone laugh and have a good time while raiding and doing other stuff. They understand as well that I loathe talking on the mic (my mic keeps messing up so I just don't talk at all), and the only way I can interact with them is through in game chat though I always join in mumble so I can hear what's going on.
  11. Yeah I only heard about this today before going to watch the new Batman movie coincidentally. The suspect called himself the "Joker" and made himself look like him. From what I hear, it was only 1 guy that did the shootings and he even booby trapped his room when police went to search his apartment. This guy is mentally disturbed and needs to be imprisoned. Those victims didn't even see it coming and thought it was a prank.
  12. Infiltration/Deception seems to be widely ignored... Honestly, I don't get why people complain so much about it. Anyway, since I hadn't seen a SINGLE build with CS/VS, I'm going to put mine out there. I use this for PvE and PvP, I've seen how effective this build can be if power and crit are stacked high enough. I've been pulling near 5k crits and consistent 3.7-4.6k crits with procs alone and I drop healers and sorcs/sages like rocks if I manage to play right. 2/31/8 Here I've been using this forever, and it's probably the most fun spec I've come across. I really don't plan on changing it at all.
  13. For me, I stack a LOT of power for my PvP gear. I'm at around 500-600 (can't remember) power and I can burst for around 3.5-4.7k with maul procs and discharges. I only have 1120 expertise though, and since I don't really PvP anymore I don't really bother with it. All in all, it's preference. I used to use a Surge relic but I've found that power ones make crits hit harder. Since 1.3, the effects of relics are useless so I just equipped a BM power relic and has worked pretty well. Accuracy is good, but you really don't need it over 95%.
  14. I've never seen my VS dealing less than 1000 damage. I don't even have the 4 piece PvE bonus for 15% crit and I've always hit people/mobs for around 1000-1500 damage per attack. I really don't see a change in 1.3 to be honest.
  15. It's not a bad spec if you play it right. The rotations for it at endgame is really pretty basic and, with the right gear, can certainly take someone out very fast. I play a 50 Shadow and a 50 Assassin, both infiltration/deception specced. I have tried tanking with all the different variations of the build, and madness/balance with its variations as well. While they are more often used in the game and are more effective, I see myself getting bored of playing them. Deception/Infiltration is by far the most fun I've had in the game and because of that, I didn't stop playing it and I became very good at it. Deception/Infiltration does NOT suck. Don't listen to those downers or haters, play it and you'll see what I mean. Right now, I'm mainly geared in PvE as this spec and have around 2039 willpower and 1769 endurance, around 33% crit rating, 95% accuracy, and 75% surge rating. My power is pretty decent though, but my high willpower makes up for it (still, stacking it won't hurt ). I'm literally getting continuous 3.9-5k crits every other maul proc, shock, or discharge. The burst damage from this spec is insane, and to test it I've dueled multiple geared 50s like Marauders, other tank assassins, and powertechs and i find myself taking them out pretty fast. Though I come out with little hp, but that's why we're a dps class. We're squishy, but we're a very high threat too.
