  1. Just roll a Mercenary. I have a level 17 alt Merc., if I use DfA strategically upon cooldown, then I can easily surpass 300k damage. It's quite OP at low level.
  2. You were probably the same guy who would laugh at me in the 10-49 bracket for picking up the expertise buffs in each WZ. "lol serak u noob, 15% of 0 is still 0"
  3. Prying those two nodes away from a team is a bit much atm. Not sure they needed to remove the speeders completely though. Maybe make them drop you off further away from the node. Being able to just land right at the stairs made it hell to cap.
  4. If it takes the enemy 4 CCs just to kill me, I'm cool with that. I swear, some people will not stop until we have WSG 2.0. One tank surrounded by 3 healers and 4 CC classes, walking the ball from end to the other while the other team can do nothing but try to outdamage the heals. Leave Huttball alone, it's a great WZ and it allows almost every class to be "the hero" at some point.
  5. Quit WoW for that very reason right there. They won't stop until every class is Homogenized and balance is simply a slight nudge on a slider. Lazy programmers making boring games.

    oh really bioware?

Keep trying to tell you guys, Empire has better story bro!
  7. Don't worry about interrupting Innervate, or Healing Scan, or anything Operatives have that isn't Kolto Injection. If your DPS is good enough, they won't outheal your damage if you lock out Dark Infusion/Rapid Scan/Kolto Injection, and those spells only. Everything else just let it go through. It will take a while, but they will eventually start to drop. The problem most DPS have with healers is that they try to interrupt everything ie blowing their load.
  8. Don't forget some of them weren't even level 50, so.... I also liked how "she" tabbed around and found the best targets to get that screenshot hit on as well.
  9. What was the speed limit again? I'm confused.
  10. I can, takes a bloody long time though. I have to whittle them down to about 40% HP, line up a Wrath proc around the same time that Death Field comes back off cooldown...then once I get those conditions set up I Jolt the first big heal, Electocute the second one, Jolt the third attempt, get nice and close to them so I can Overload the fourth attempt. Meanwhile, I pop my stim, relic and Recklessness, drop Death Field, instant Chain Lightning, and then FL spam twice, finish with a Shock. If I can't get that exact scenario pulled off, I just snare them and go find something else to do.
  11. Yes you can. Edit: There's a Republic Sentinel on my server, who upon seeing me in a WZ will literally glue himself to my leg. He talks trash to me every time in /say.
  12. It has nothing to do with some sense of "right and wrong" or "this isn't how the developers intended it". This is all about the extra amount of work that would be required to update those mods that came from different pieces of gear. Not saying that is right or wrong either. They're packing a lot of stuff into 1.2 and this just wasn't worth the development time. In a month or less, this entire argument will be right up there with the staggered launch, or in other words: totally forgotten about.
  13. I find it hard to talk trash in this game in the first place. Most of my matches are against my own faction, so it feels pretty dumb to me to talk trash to the same guy who might be on my team next match. As for the Republic, they're not worth the energy spent typing. Besides, in order to talk trash to someone, I'd actually have to give a ****, and take this game's PvP seriously, first.
  14. Your server must be slow. On my server, it's rare that I see teams on either side with more than two Sorc/Sages any more.
  15. So you advertise the site on the forums? Yeah, good call...
  16. Yeah, the sky is falling, let's all just drink the kool-aid.
  17. I don't fear them one bit. LoS them if you can, if not just go somewhere else. What are they going to do? Actually get up from their cover and try again? Ok, but now you'll be fighting on my terms and my terms dictate that I will have an object right beside to LoS every one of your casts while my DoTs and 1-2 ticks of FL slowly tear you down.
  18. Despite the usual stereotypes, I laughed. Now as a Sorcerer, FUUUUUUU!!!! If you let a Sorcerer just stand around spamming Lightning and racking up 300k damage, who's really the baddy? HUH???
  19. Been playing MMOs since about 2000 I guess, started with EQ, then DAoC, EQ2, and WoW. The stories are great in this game. The planets are just rails as far as I'm concerned. Most of the time when you're trying to explore or take a shortcut over a hill that looks easily scalable you find that either your character can't get a foothold or you get the invisible wall. I don't recall a single quest that was interesting. The story for some of the quests, sure; but the actual quests were mostly just go here and kill this. I don't PvE much, but I am in a PvE raiding guild. Occasionally, they've asked me to fill in a slot during a normal mode raid. All of the fights I've seen have been very basic, could be described to most people in 2-3 sentences. Not sure how Nightmare modes are, don't really care. Open world PvP is non-existent. Leveling up I ran into one Republic, I was level 46 by then. The staggered launch and the instanced planets killed PvP while leveling imo. Ilum is a joke, everyone knows it. WZs are the only reason I even play.
  20. The difference is, when there is no one guarding a node, you're not so sure there's no one guarding the node. Your gut instinct tells you that someone surely most be, therefore, that someone is likely a stealth class. This means that not only is the enemy guarding the node going to get the first lick in(most of the time), but you're not sure if it's an Op/Sc or Assassin/Sh or even how many there might be. When you play a CW or VS and realize that the other team has no stealth classes, or you know exactly where that team's stealth classes are then you know exactly how many people are guarding a node, what class you'll be going against, and if you have previous experience fighting them, you'll know just how good they are. It's mostly a psychological thing. Same thing with guarding a node. If you're guarding it then you can call out incoming enemies before they even get to the node to pose a threat. Unless they're stealthed, in which case you might be dead and the turret capped before anyone can effectively respond to your inc call, even if you type it up the very second you get opened on. Do not dismiss the power of stealth in these WZs.
  21. It's not the damage or healing that is the problem with spreading Affliction. It's the Force Cost : Damage ratio, and whether or not you deem it worth doing. In cases where you are forced to be mobile, it probably is not. In cases where you are allowed to turret, well, you probably don't need the heal anyway.
  22. I'll either be playing 0/18/23: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201Zfc0rbMbZcMdRsrkb.1 for the same control I currently enjoy. Losing CL is a DPS loss, really neuters any form of burst we once had as well. However, since we are no longer going to be using such a Force-heavy spell, I don't see the point in picking up Lightning Effulsion. I already play 19/22 without it and the only time I have Force issues is when I'm in long fights and don't die. Also, during those fights I'm reduced to mostly FL spam so, in a way, losing CL is also a dps gain for me in a long fight. or 0/10/31: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201Zfc0MZcMdRsrkrfz.1 The 3/3 Electric Induction could be moved to 3/3 Seeping Darkness in the Corruption tree. Depends on your server I guess. On mine, I'm targeted quite often by some melee because I'll pick out a healer and try to make their life hell if I see one. Usually healers on my server tend to run with at least one guild member. Staying mobile is a necessity for me, which means less uptime on FL = more strain on my Force. I think 31 Madness will be great for harassing healers and separating them from their group, slowing down ball carriers, and kiting melee. I don't think it brings anywhere near the group utility that the first spec brings however. This will probably be my spec for solo ranked WZs.
  23. I doubt you've yet to meet a good one then. We have the tools to keep them off of us and drag out the fight for a good bit of time, but a Mara/Sent that wants you dead will kill you. Then you'll respawn with WW and Electrocute on cooldown and they'll kill you even quicker. I have terrible Operatives on my server, except one. Before meeting that Operative, I thought they were a joke. Perhaps you have the same scenario, except with Mara/Sents.
