  1. only force class i can tolerate is the marauder, whos play style/philosophy fits me perfectly. otherwise i have a toon for every non force using class. boba fett is just as iconic as luke imo
  2. im not sure how many of you appreciate how difficult it is to play a marauder. there is no rotation, you use all of your abilities almost consecutively. you have to keep your buffs up while going through a rotation. a bunch of ****** players are gonna roll marauders, but theyre going to get facerolled because they cant play the class.
  3. easy mode? you get self heals. what is difficult about that? plus you let your bleeds do all the work for you. i have a merc and a marauder, so im not sure what im arguing for
  4. gotta agree that operatives lethality specced are worthless. but concealment/scrapper are practically op, flechette round-shoot first-back blast-blaster whip-sucker punch if they can still walk after that then you just mouse turn on them till theres nothing left to kill. only thing i can do when that happens to my marauder is force camo, get the **** away, re heal, find that *** wipe, force charge, dot him, root him, rotation. boom hes dead. i have a 50 arsenal but the problem with them is that even noobs can do well on them just by mashing tracer spam. im looking forward to seeing how the tracer nerf/unload proc will work out. i stand by my earlier statement that snipers/gunslingers are worthless when theyre focused on

Not entirely true either, i got a 50 merc arsenal and if you can maximize youre abilities (not tracer/grav round spam) then youre extremely deadly/invincible. ive force charged mercs on my marauder, gotten knockbacked, rooted then destroyed by tracer spam alone. (though this is more specific to huttball, where free cast opportunities are more readily available) ***** even worse on my operative/scoundrel, no gap closer makes me useless after that. a lot of times i can win these engagements just by placing my back against a wall or something but still.

  7. lol if youre having problems with gunnery, which i understand to be the mirror of arsenal, then you arent going to succeed with any class/spec. I want to say snipers/gunslingers in general. theyre only decent if given the opportunity to freecast. ive destroyed them on all of my toons
  8. I have a 50 merc, 41 marauder, 31 operative, and a 27 scoundrel. the marauder is the hardest to play but the most satisfying. but the rotation is ridiculously complicated. not even a rotation, considering that you use every one of you abilities.

  12. I didn't. I chose a merc, i dominate sissy troopers and jedi girls in pvp. I am not loyal to the empire, not even the mandalorians. Im loyal to my gun, mako, and the credits. Dont like it? My flamethrower doesn't care. Got a problem with me rocket puncing you? Ill fix that with an uppercut to the face. Sillyness aside, Im going vanguard as my fifth toon to experience what a powertech would have been. Dont care about the corrupted one bit. I went darkside on my smuggler, and i might do it on my trooper too.
  13. honestly, it depends what you consider to be noob qualifying. i have a 50 merc, 41 marauder, 31 operative, 27 scoundrel, and a level 1 trooper (lol). Frankly, the marauder is by far the most difficult for me to play. i dont even have a rotation because i use every one of my abilities + buffs and usually my opponents are pretty much done at the end of it. As for standing in one place spamming the same attack from a distance? i think youre thinking of snipers... But it's true that mercs (arsenal) do stack tracers. i only shoot 3 tracers and then switch to my next abilities, but the rotation is a LOT shorter (mostly because of the need to keep up the armor penetration stack) as well as a lot easier to master (comparitively). Good players will give you a run for you money, but generally there isnt AS MUCH challenge when playing a merc.
  14. Hilarious ^-^ but also depressing because "sev" was taken on my server -_-' (for those of you that don't know, sev was one of the commandos in the republic commando series. he perfectly describes my trooper). saw someone named hitlersyouth and my gm's alt is named asspunisher
  15. not to mention force camo. its more useful than the scoundrel/operative instant stealth ability because dots dont affect it.

  17. Well i am constantly mobile on all of my toons. But no, one reason i rolled a scoundrel/op was because of all the los issues they caused me on my merc before i became profficient in mouse turning. arsenal specs are somewhat hampered in terms of mobility, but when stacking tracers on a target running around you, you HAVE to turn with the mouse to keep him in sight.
  18. Mouse turning and mobility is essential for stealth classes, especially with such abilities as back blast/back stab. Frankly, its not that i have a better spec or rotation on my stealth classes than other players do. Honestly, ive managed to go head to head with many high levels at a lower level simply by messing up their los. Are you saying that gunslingers/snipers have an auto focus while in cover? I wouldnt have noticed, i dont play one. but that just validates my point, if you effectively mouse turn, then you should play a gunslinger for auto focus or what ever.
  19. just finished a huttball match against a sniper who stayed in cover the whole time. i love it when they let me go through my rotation with out moving. he never got a shot off. again, you can say hes just a bad player. maybe he is. but i have never lost against a sniper/gunslinger except maybe the few times i tried going head to head against them on my mercenary. and hell, with all the alacrity i got on my merc, i can stack all my tracers, run through my rotation, and then reapply my stack before most snipers/gunslingers get half their rotation done. not saying its a bad class, in fact ive seen a few snipers beat me for top damage. im just saying, from what ive observed they need to be secluded and capable of just free casting. if their knockback doesnt work then most dont know what to do

  21. I found the great hunt to be satisfying, while the second and third acts of the bh to be somewhat of a let down. And yes, mako needs to man up. I wish we got skadge when we got gault, not the other way around.
  22. "Oh i had to travel to my ship and then the darth sent me back to nar shaddaa, how inconvenient!" I would be dissapointed if this DIDN'T happen. Youre an agent, the universe doesn't bend to your will. You have to submit to the authority of the sith. That's how it works. I thought the whole droid costume was incredibly witty and something totally unique that i havent seen in any other class ive played. Also, youre going to find that the bh story gets a lot less interesting after act 1. Im only on tatooine on my agent, and as a whole I would say that act 1 for the agent doesn't quite measure up to the bh or sw act 1's. It's still a pretty decent story line overall and I hope they don't make any changes based on this thread.
  23. *Throw *Honestly (for my earlier post, I really gotta proof read before I submit reply) I don't know how you consider solo kill to be a guarantee, the circumsances have to be right and theres not a whole lot you can do to manipulate a solo kill. Although i would agree that the medal is frequent and not necessarily hard to get, it just has a level of chance to it. What are you doing to get 75k healing? What spec are you?
