  1. theres no point comparing classes until 50. My scoundrel tears everyone up with his burst at level 40 but i know that wont be the case at 50.
  2. My thoughts more or less. The con of people scrubbing dots is hardly relevant on my server, I've seen very few do it and I've never seen anyone do it against my mara. However, the con for carnage is a lot more steep. The ability to hit ravage and force scream under the buff is very uncommon, and almost not even worth it. I've seen more mara's go for the rage tree than carnage, but this is due to misguided advice from juggernauts imo
  3. I agree with the sorc, but I think that's only because my server has sorcerers who are far better players than I am. The snipers are a joke, the only time when ive been beaten by one is when they've had the chance to free shot on me while I'm fighting someone else. Stealth to break cc and close gap, obfuscate to wipe their chances for big crits, plus our defensive cd's makes us pretty invincible against them. Even if they same how cc through obfuscate+guarded by the force, they certainly wont be able to get through undying rage. I disagree with the powertech one. On a voidstar game last night, I went up 1v1 against an assault vanguard, and, although he came very close to winning, I was able to beat him. And there's no doubt in my mind that he's a better player, too. In that warzone he got top damage (120k more than the second highest, which was me) and only died once. Assassins I agree are the best counter for marauders, though they must be pretty skilled.
  4. carnage is great IF you can hit ravage+force scream UNDER the gore+massacre buffs. If you can't, then its completely worthless. And what do you do when gore is on cd? You have absolutely no utility. I've had warzones where I hit undying rage and then got brought back up to almost half health from just self heals. And, annihilation spec, I take down healers and tanks plenty easy.

  7. are you retarded or trolling? Watchman/Annihilation are supposed to burn down healers/ball carrier. that's their purpose. they also have some utility for running the ball. You think carnage/rage are better? And that your damage score doesnt matter? Seriously?
  8. the marauder is exactly where it should be. Nothing drastic changed the marauder in 1.2, people facerolled as much then as they do now on their mara's. They were just overshadowed by the merc/operative. Ive seen threads FOR EVERY SINGLE CLASS, saying that theyre op. youre never going to be satisfied until 1) every class is reduced to their auto attack and 2) you l2p

  13. 50 kills is meaningless. whats your damage, on average? and compared to the rest of the warzone? And that rotation is bad too. Right now theyre going to make it so that it costs less heat to stack tracers. thats obviously not the problem. This is going to cause players to spam tracers anyway. Heatseekers need to be buffed again so that they really are that "OH **** IM ABOUT TO GET HIT BY 3 MOTHA *********** MISSILES" ability. Now theyre just like "oh noes, here comes some flies lolz." I have a really high alacrity rating and my interrupt problem isnt thaaaat bad. And nerfing marauders is a stupid idea, too. Anyone crying for a nerf isnt going to be happy until all classes are stripped to their auto attack. Some of the other classes just need to be brought up to their level.

  15. and vanguards can leap too. Sents/Marauders have predation which gives them a considerable speed boost too. All classes have their utility
  16. Marauder- Annihilation The juggernaut is naught but a distraction, a lurking mindless beast to distract the jedi from the true threat within their midst. The Juggernaut advocates armor? Bah! The Marauder's best defense is his offense, how can one kill you if you've already killed him? The force and the marauder's will are the marauder's secondary defense, your undying rage will sustain you to viciously hack and slash the jedi into pieces, which is all they deserve. The marauder's hate fuels him, and mastery of the vicious juyo form allows him to unleash his full rage, burning down jedi masters like they are padawan. The juggernaut dare speak of the academy? The marauder knows that the true enemy is the Jedi, and the marauder does all within his power to destroy them, while the juggernaut just takes the blows of his enemies, piling scars as useless trophies. The juggernaut, especially the "rage juggernauts," use "big blows" as a means of compensation. The juyo marauder leaps to his prey, viciously delivering internal damage that both melt away the resolve and health of his victims, finishing them off with a saber blow through the heart, and one through feeble mind, before leaping away to the next target of his merciless destruction. To the op, carnage is fine for leveling and pve, though annihilation will be the best spec for pvp. Not sure if that's relevant to you.

  18. Their gear is, from a utility perspective, the same too. Troopers/bh-Heavy armor. Smugglers/Agents-Medium armor. Troopers/BH- Aim stat. Smugglers/Agents- Cunning stat

  20. I don't have a sent but I do have a 50 marauder. I leveled carnage (combat) all the way to 50 and did just flat out horrible in pvp. The problem is that combat requires the player to be able to hit forcescream and ravage (something and master strike for the sentinel) while you have the massacre and 100% armor penetration buff up. That almost NEVER happens in pvp, and, even if you do get those attacks off with the buff up, the spec over all still has far less utility than watchman (annihilation). Im going to assume that focus is the rage mirror. A lot of people say that its great but its really just eye candy for players who need to see big crits on their screen. The aoe damage will allow players in this spec to pull some massive damage numbers but 1v1 its just terrible. Ive solo'd players in this spec and taken less than 5k damage (which i attribute to the 30% aoe mitigation that its in the carnage tree, defensive cooldowns, and obfuscate). The best mara's/sents in my server are specced annihilation/watchman. Self heals add up, but the dot damage plus annihilate (merciless slash) is just insane.
