  1. There are various reasons as already been stated. Family, Work, other obligations that create a time sink or something else leading to not getting to lvl50 yet. They don't have to give out more free months, but what a huge marketing error to alienate customers who have been paying all this time by saying because they don't have that lvl50 character then they are not a loyal customer. We are certainly loyal...and its that loyalty that will keep us here even after this small debacle. We are just saying "Hey Bioware....remember us?" lol
  2. Uh-oh....time to vacate this thread lol. I will just leave what I said where it is and see what Bioware does from here.
  3. Your comparing this to getting spam mail? Not going to go down that road of an argument to fuel your desire to feel better about yourself and your trolling.
  4. We are not asking for the free month....just some freakin' acknowledgement that a lvl50 isn't more valuable to them then others who have been there from the beginning. If they had worded it better it would have not been as big an issue. Some would still complain, but not as many as saying we don't count as customers to them if we are not lvl50 lol
  5. Even if they don't give us a free month, at least acknowledge the people who have been supporters from release instead of just "lvl50's". That was the biggest slap in the face really. Even without a free month I will still play, but come on Bioware....we are your loyal customers lol
  6. I have been an ardent defender of Bioware since release but this one kind of hurt. I have been playing since Early Beta but with limited time due to family/work and having several alts in order to find what I wanted to really dive into kept me from lvl50. I am no less a supporter than someone who had the time to get to that level Bioware. To say only lvl50's are your true supporters and therefore they get a free month is absurd. You might want to do the "politician shuffle" and reword that statement or better yet offer a free month to those who have been with you from the beginning.
  7. They want to feel a part of something and want to share in the spotlight. They wear their "unsubbed" status like a badge of honor as though they are a part of some elite group of individuals. Mostly, people do not care if you are "subbed" or "unsubbed", especially when stated on the forums because really, who thinks anything said on forums is truthful?
  8. I always have a laugh when the posts related to lawsuits and the commerce laws come into play when a video game company delays a feature. It is like a right of passage for an MMO company and their community. Happy Armchair Lawyer Day Bioware!!
  9. Considering how most of those individuals who actually tested the ranked warzones were calling for more time to be used before it went live because of the problems involved, I think Bioware made a good decision. They probably pushed it to the limit to try and get things fixed but ran out of time and did not want to continue postponing 1.2 and the other features people have been wanting. With MMO's though, its darned if you do, darned if you don't with the MMO community.
  10. "It's as if a million voices suddenly cried out...."
  11. It is because Padme, in the end, was selfish. She couldn't have her man and kids be darned if she didn't get to keep her man then she would rather be dead. Who cares what happened to her kids. She wanted her Jedi. At least, that was what I took from it lol.
  12. I am not a big fan of Hutta. The story seems to go all over the place and I feel no connection to anything going on. Tython can be a bit of a drag, but at least there are moments when you feel connected to the issues at hand and the people you meet.
  13. My word! Such a nefarious plot! I can't wait for the evidence to present itself :-)
  14. I do remember Bioware stating that the system they were using would allow them to perform maintenance without server downtime, but that was quite sometime ago and it was only briefly mentioned. They probably thought it could be done but reality sometimes does not match expectations. They didn't gloat over it or make it into a big announcement but it was mentioned in one of their earlier videos. Sometimes you don't know what changes will be needed until you go live.
  15. I never understood the argument of how a LFG tool can destroy a community. Especially since I have yet to see any real community interaction in-game. Just today I walked into a cantina that was full of players but instead of talking to each other, they were conversing with their companions then running right back out again. Try to strike up a conversation and almost no one responds unless it is a quick witty comment. Bringing in a useful LFG tool, even x-server one, will not damage anything. This game could use more community substance though, that is for sure. I'm definitely not asking for anything like the "Goldshire Table-Top Dancers", but at least that has more community than what I have seen so far.
  16. I didn't see as much as heard Star Wars in 1977. I was still in the womb when my dad took my mom to see it and apparently after the music kicked in I didn't stop kicking until they left the theater lol. My mother thus had me stamped as a sci-fi nerd even before I entered the world.
  17. Will not be retiring as I have put too much into my Jugg to do so. I did the same in WoW and sticking to my class there even through all the changes whether good or bad. With how quickly things change in an MMO, you never know what will happen so might as well stick to it.
  18. That was pretty funny and true. However if the opponents on a movie threw out all the flourishes and aiming at the weapon instead of the opponent than the fights would last considerably less. On the making of films on the Lord Of The Rings movie it is stated that movie sword-fights have to be different from a real sword-fight in order to make it more enjoyable for the audience. Who wants to see two enemies finally face off at the end of a movie in a fight that lasts a couple of seconds? Reality suffers when it comes to what is ultimately more entertaining.
  19. I have a distinct feeling it will left addressed in a book as opposed to something on-screen. What will probably happen on-screen is they will have her advanced beyond Padawan and re-assigned to somewhere other than with Anakin. Her fate will be left untold on the series itself. That, or she will turn her back on the Jedi or Anakin and will disappear that way. Either way, the moment I saw her I knew we would never see her fate decided in the series.
  20. I am a much bigger fan of the new series versus the old one. The old series had no depth to it and was too over-the-top. The whole episode involving Mace Windu and the stamping machine was ridiculous in my opinion. From the standing in the middle of a massive army acting like Neo from The Matrix, to the largest jump in the history of Star Wars onto the machine's bridge, the episode really was out of place with Star Wars. I felt like I was watching a watered down version of Japanese Animation. It was alright as a little filler between shows as it was originally used, but as a stand-alone series it is nowhere near as complex as the new series has become. Yes, the new series went through some growing pains at the beginning, but you can't deny just how dark and intriguing the series has become. From the on-screen murder of helpless slaves, to the inner battle within Anakin that is really fleshing out his darker side, the series has really matured over the past couple of seasons. I can't wait to see what is to come.
  21. I would have to say Porkins mostly because until I read the X-Wing novels I was always unsure just what killed him. Was it the cannon fire? Was it a tower he clipped? I remember always watching that scene trying to see what killed him because watching it just shows his ship exploding and not getting hit or hitting anything.
  22. It is because we are not the kids we were when we first saw the OT and can't relive that same child-like feeling with these new ones, therefore we dismiss them as being flawed when it is just us who have changed.
  23. Yeah I noticed it as well. One thing I have noticed is the lack of screaming on the part of those who have their arm cut off in comparison to the first creature we see it happen to in Episode IV inside the cantina. That creature was screaming his head off but in contrast Dooku, Zem, and this female bounty hunter don't get quite as emotional about it lol.
  24. Was a pretty good episode. I chuckled when Anakin said "I was in the dark as much as you Chancellor."...thought to myself "Soon but not quite yet Anakin" lol
  25. I have the same issue as well. I have a very limited window to play the game with and usually can not advance because I can never find a group. Instead of spend my time spamming LFG in chat. The current LFG tool is pretty much useless.
