  1. I don't know why they don't put the website names into the filter, separate from profanity. It'd be hard to sell credits if the sellers had absolutely no way to tell their prospective customers where to go to buy.
  2. Any chance you could mention... 1. What the issue actually was? 2. What differences actually exist between you and your friend? It seems like those are pretty significant factors that have been completely left out.
  3. Alrighty, I've got my Dewback. Y'all take care.
  4. Republic player looking to make a deal for a Dewback, preferably Highland or Jundland (though Wetland is more than acceptable if the price is right). I won't insult anyone by asking for a Charcoal Dewback at half their value. I'm offering 600k, though the price is negotiable (less for a Wetland, as they regularly get listed for less in the GM). Send a message to or PM me at Barrett in-game if you're looking to offload one of those delightful reptiles.
  5. I don't get all the hate for Corso, he's just a good ol' Southern boy... in space. But he's still awesome in his delightful hillbilly way.
  6. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Trooper story is awesome. And you get M1-4X, easily one of the most entertaining characters in Bioware's entire library.
  7. And if you merge servers, you're going to force people to change character, legacy, and guild names, and they'll quit. Without a merger, the players are the one with the choice. Do they stick on the smaller server and keep everything, or do they run to a larger server and gamble they might not have the names they wanted. Or heck, people could not be so "me me me me me me" and suck up the fact they're on a smaller pop server and stick around to insure that it doesn't end in a viscious cycle of people bailing from it. But nah, let's just merge the servers and force some folks to change character and legacy and guild names!
  8. Why? It's perfectly valid. If you have no one to play with and can't find anyone, the it's perfectly viable to start over elsewhere. It's a risk you take when you choose to roll on a lower population server.
  9. Almost two months ago, folks called it. Anyone else remember the screaming for new servers because of the queues? I'd hope so, roughly 90% of the topics on this forum were people screaming about the queues, many demanding new servers. Then folks said it'd balance overtime, and adding new servers too hastily would mean some get underpopulated, and then we'd have people begging for mergers. And now, we have threads like these.
  10. Glad I'm not the only one who picked up on that. Worst case scenario? They were all tools and rolled DPS, knowing full well the rest of their buddies were. Even then... respec? Level an alt? But nah, let's merge the servers, despite the fact he apparently has "mates" he plays with regularly.
  11. Seems unlikely. Screenshots of all zones, at peak hours, with the time visible on the clock at the bottom, or I'm callin' BS. Almost every server is Empire dominated in turns of how many players are on each faction. You'd probably just cause yourself to play more Huttball. Wait, if you have "mates" then how come you can't find groups? "Mates" implies plural, so there should be at least three of you. Did yall all roll DPS? Or are you just trollin'? Either you have enough people that may potentially leave with you that you shouldn't be having issues finding teams, or you don't actually have a bunch of friends and it's an empty threat.
  12. MMO suffers unscheduled downtime. More at 11.
  13. Yep, I bet all those people who bothered to review gave honest ones. Yup, no sarcasm here. None at all.
  14. The instancing really isn't bad in SWTOR... well, at all, really. Oh noes, FPs and group quest areas! Oh the horror! It's nothing new. COH had damn near the same system (and then some), and no one QQed then. Even WoW has a healthy amount of instancing. Really, the only differences are the group quest areas, which are seperated in order to all each person to experience the full story without other players dicking with them. Wouldn't it just be "epic" that every time you tried to fight Tavus in the Trooper Act 1 finale if you had to wrestle 12 other Troopers to be the first to tag him, all while worrying about Imps finding ways to interfere? No, it wouldn't. You wanna gank folks, there's hundreds of quests out there that take place in the middle of the world, outside of instances, the same open world people have to travel through to get to instanced areas. Unlike WoW, where folks can sit in the safety of their city and teleport to instances now. And honestly, if you've never played STO then you have no idea what over-instancing looks like. Thank god for those Borg events, I was starting to wonder if other players existed outside of the ESD...
  15. Just like M1 does to me with my Van! That said, I don't mind. Can just tow cable em' back if I need to, and against elite/champion melee opponents, its works pretty well to constantly make them run back over to me. Of course, as a Vanguard I still have plenty of ranged attacks I can throw out when it happens... something Guardians/Juggs can't do.
  16. If min/maxing is your goal, then yes, it becomes necessary. At the same time, +20 to any stat isn't super gamebreaking at max level. It helps, sure, but a being otherwise well geared and skilled will outweigh any amount of datacrons at the end. Again, it's you're choice. And if min/maxing is really your goal and you can't survive knowing you could have +5 more Willpower, then there's handy guides all over the internet on how to get all the datacrons. I daresay that finding them and figuring out how to get to them is the hardest part, and you can find all of that out with a stroke of the keyboard. Then it'll be up to you to handle the platforming. But honestly, if you don't have the coordination to do some pretty basic platforming, then you probably don't have what it takes to be the best of the best of the best (sir) in PvE or PvP either. If you're struggling to land on a slow moving crate, then another 10 endurance probably isn't going to keep you alive in any kind of movement intensive fight. Of course, I platform for freakin' kicks... I got into all kinds of zany places in STO. If anyone (hah, like anyone plays STO...) saw a Saurian taunting them from the rafters of the auction house, it was probably me. Still, the hardest part is finding/getting to the bloody things. And then, a good chunk of them aren't platforming at all... they're either a straight shot once you locate where they're hidden, or you have to battle your way through baddies. I don't think any of em on Belsavis require any platforming skills. Use your mouse to turn and keep yourself in a straight line, and learn to use the keybind to toggle run/walk. Alot of the people I see falling while trying to platform around are those who are keyboard turning or are trying to sprint the whole way... or hell, trying to ride their freakin' mount nonstop. There's places (Anchorhead) where being mounted can help out (or at least not be a hinderance). But I've seen people trying to ride their mounts up to the datacron in the Justicar area of Coruscant... and that's just full of fail, trying to hit little pipes when you're going that fast. Absolutely nothing in terms of platforming for datacrons is as hard as some of the crap they throw at you in the original Mario.
  17. I think I'm in the "color crystals should've just been colors" group. I reminds me of the Matrix Online and it forcing you to choose your looks based on the stats of the clothing, when the whole freakin' point of The Matrix is that you're the "idealized version of yourself" in it. Of course, Matrix Online just sucked massive levels of fuzzy crack in general. Hey, maybe it's not too late, and in the future they can change how color crystals work. They can sprinkle the stats off the crystals onto the other mods to balance it out. And we do need more variety and options for color crystals... a whole mess of em'. I'm all for making some of them rare and/or hard to acquire, but the options should be there. Want a vermilion colored crystal? Sure thing champ, but you're gonna have to solo a champion and go on an epic quest first to get the crystal. Honestly, if they did that, I wouldn't give a rat's... well, fuzzy crack about dark/light color restrictions. Of course, I'm now level 43 on my Trooper and refuse to change out the outdated, non-tanking statted blue crystal on my Cademimu Ranger's Rifle, because the moment I do it'll never fire blue beams again. Such is a price of being evil, I guess. Still, we need more options and personal choice regarding crystal colors. I, for one, would love a turuoise color saber. Or hey, to actually be able to get orange crystals through crew skills, and not yanking them out of other weapons!
  18. It's Quesh. It's always lowly populated because you're their for about half an hour... or less. I literally did my one class quest their and moved on to Hoth. Maybe you should try the same.
  19. Yep. Haven't even got my first 50 yet, and I at least want to see the majority of the class stories. And at 50, I look forward to teaming up with my friends for my FP/Op goodness.
  20. I just want some freakin' PANTS for my Jedi Shadow. Sigh... guess I'll go, I dunno, team with people for social points.
  21. Well, no, he has a point... I don't think he made it as well as he think he did, but he does have a point. He is coming off a bit jerkish/trollish with it, but there's some truth in their too.(Though an Iraqi war veteran who lost an arm might want to consider rolling a Cyborg! I sure as hell would.) Being obese is something a person has the power to control. It probalby won't be easy, but it's possible in the overwhelming majority of the cases. However, there are some things a person cannot control. Maybe someone who did suffer an amputation, or was born a little person, would like to accurately create themselves in SWTOR. Just like an obese woman, they cannot. Unlike the obese woman, there's nothing they can do in real life regarding their physical appearance. If Peter Dinklage wanted to play as a character that looks like himself in SWTOR, then unfortunately he's SOL. If a large woman wants to... well, at the moment she's out of luck, but she could lose weight. Granted, it's not the best reason to lose weight (indeed, I can't imagine a person going "**** it, I'm gonna lose 20 pounds so I can look like a character in SWTOR!), but... well, you get the point.
  22. I mod my orange gear as I level, and as a result it's typically the best stuff I can get. I take commendations the majority of the time as quest rewards, only turning them down for new orange items or things like implants/ear pieces (and modifications themselves), and by the end of a planet I can usually fully re-mod all the orange gear I wear. With my Trooper in the mid-40s, that's about five pieces of orange gear I can give the full treatment to. I usually only run into trouble when there's an orange item I want from the commendation vendors... but again, usually not a big deal. From time to time I've had a purple item drop that was superior to the orange, but eventually it'll get surpassed again... same for the rare blue, since I'm ahead of my level with what I can make with Armormech, meaning I can wear a piece of gear at it's earliest possible level (and pass gear off to my alts). As a result, I can sometimes (like... twice) craft a blue that's a touch ahead of my orange. Oh, and armormeching helps me a lot. As a Trooper, all but one of my companions has no reason to ever have their gear selected as a quest reward, because I can make them something that's superior to it. Means more commendations for me!
  23. Datacron hunting is one of my favorite past-times in the game. They aren't necessary, but they're great fun for those who like to explore and figure out how to get to them. It's very rewarding to go "I bet there's a datacron in that area...", find the datacron, and then successfully figure out how to get to it and snag the little bugger. It's just a blast for me, and I hope they never, ever change a thing about it.
