  1. Wicked cool combat animations for Sith Warriors and Jedi Knights. Charging into a group of NPCs and smashing the lot of them never gets old.
  2. So... let me see if I understand this correctly... * You can queue for Heroics on a Destination Planet, but * You can't pick which Heroic(s) you want to do, * And the Group Finder insists on trying to match you with a full group without considering the minimum number of players required for a Heroic?
  3. My Sage is 18 now, and was just sent an e-mail by Yuon. In it, she wishes him well, and cautions him on the use of his unique new shielding ability. She also tells him about some materials she gathered to assist in his training on Tython, but that they went unused due to her illness and his circumstances. Near the end of the e-mail, she writes, "I send them now in the hopes that they will be of use to you or Qyzen," but all my Sage got was a bunch of credits. Was there supposed to be equipment included as well?
  4. If you were to look up the word "casual" in the dictionary, you might find me listed among the first couple of definitions. hehehe Back in 2001, I didn't have a lot of interests, so it wasn't unusual for me to spend entire weekends doing nothing but playing DAoC. Today, I have a number of other hobbies that keep me busy. Weekend-long play sessions especially are, for the most part, a thing of the past for me. I rolled my Sage and Sorcerer a couple weeks ago. The current iteration of my Warrior is probably 2 or 3 months old now. 25 is the highest I've ever gotten him.
  5. First and foremost, this has nothing to do with the upcoming patch or server transfers. I'm just finally starting to have a lot of fun with the game, and want to say thank you. I've been a fan of MMORPG's since the moment I logged in to Dark Age of Camelot on launch day, October 10, 2001 - it was my first MMO. I've played a number of other MMO's since then, but there are only two that I maintained an active membership with for more than 3 years straight: DAoC and City of Heroes. I would very much like to add TOR to that list. I reserved a copy of the Collector's Edition within an hour of its availability. I was in-game on the first day of head start. I've lost count of the number of times I've re-rolled the same characters just to change something, whether a dialogue choice in a previous mission, or their appearance. I have never played an MMO that made me feel so completely vested in my characters, and I love that. Six months after launch, I have finally settled on my two favorite classes - a Jedi Sage and Sith Sorcerer; they're both 13. I actually prefer ranged DPS, but I desperately wanted the iconic Force Choke ability, so I've been focusing on that. I was very excited to learn that Force Choke is also now available to other characters through the Legacy system, so I'll continue playing my level 25 Warrior just long enough to unlock it for my Inquisitor. Despite all the doom and gloom from other players, and my own frustrations, I have never canceled my membership. I love Star Wars too much to quit, and want to give TOR every opportunity to grow and improve. With that in mind, thank you for creating a wonderful game. I feel so much more at home with my two new characters, and am having an absolute blast.
  6. I usually only log in when my wife and I are both in the mood to play. At the moment, I'm aimlessly surfing the web.
  7. It would be great if we could have the option to hide our Companion's head slot and unify the colors of their outfits, like we can with our player characters. Currently, we can spend around 25,000 credits to buy a companion appearance customization skin, to give them the face we want, only to find that face hidden under a helmet because we have no option to hide the helmet. While the ability to unify their outfit colors isn't as big an issue, it would also be a nice touch.
  8. Lightsabers and The Force. Zero gear envy.
  9. That's great for next year, but what about 5 and 10 years from then?
  10. I just want to know how they plan to retain all the voice actors they hired. Could my characters' voices change at some point in the future?
  11. I turned 40 last September, and could not agree more with this comment. I had every expectation that I would play this game for at least the next 5 years, but since it launched I've completely lost interest in it. The only reason I'm keeping my membership active is because my wife likes the game, and she's the only one I group up with now.
  12. I understand the concept from a dev point of view, but couldn't they have been a tad more creative with different building layouts?
  13. All I know is if it weren't for my wife - who had no interest in the game herself until she tried the weekend beta last year - I'd have no reason to log in anymore, and my main character is only 25. In fact, neither one of us have felt the least bit inclined to join a guild. Frankly I'm about ready to jump ship and head over to GW3 once it's released. I renewed my WoW account the other day and rolled my first Druid. I never realized shapeshifting could be so much fun (grin). My only other character is an 85 Frost Mage.
  14. I've been wondering... In my travels throughout the TOR universe, I've noticed that, no matter what planet I'm on, which faction it belongs to, or what other culture the planet may have developed, every large building has a feature in which, as soon as you enter, you must either go right or left and around a large wall before coming back to the center and heading on into the rest of the building. Was there some sort of plague contracted by all the architects in the galaxy, and is anyone working on a cure? It's driving me nuts.

  16. ROTFL!!!! Yeah, without the loading screens, it's probably closer to around 10 hours...
  17. My understanding is that there are over 200 hours worth of core gameplay per class, from level 1 to 50, not including side quests, raids or PvP.
  18. As with the details, it's all about giving players a choice.
  19. It's all about the details. So far, that's the only issue I've had to gripe about since the game launched. Otherwise, I'm actually enjoying it quite well. My wife and I are leveling up a Sith Warrior and Inquisitor together.
  20. No idea. She hasn't tried that yet. It takes me over a minute. I re-bind the top and bottom Quickslot bars in addition to my movement keys.
  21. My wife is participating in the GW2 weekend beta event. After creating her first character and setting up her key bindings, she decided to roll a second character. Upon logging in with her second character, she discovered that, much to her very pleasant surprise, the game remembered her key bindings! LOTRO offers this same feature. In RIFT and WoW, you can import them from other characters on the same server. Seriously, BW, what gives with the key bindings in TOR? Did someone on the dev team decide, "You know something? I really enjoy having to reconfigure all of my key bindings every time I log in with a new character"?
