I've played the game off and on since launch (currently leveling a 41 Guardian) and recently found myself feeling nostalgic for more traditional fare, so I re-installed WoW the other night and created a Night Elf Druid. Upon entering the world for the first time in 7 years, I was immediately reminded of the sheer breadth of content available and started wondering if its lack of voice-acted quest dialogue and cinematic cutscenes has helped give Blizzard an edge in WoW's continued development and success. I imagine not having to hope they can get the same actors to reprise their roles when planning future expansions is especially nice. Case in point, I also learned they're preparing to release a new one which includes another level increase to 120. It will be WoW's seventh story-based expansion since its 2004 launch compared to SWTOR's four since its launch in 2011: World of Warcraft 2007: The Burning Crusade 2008: Wrath of the Lich King 2010: Cataclysm 2012: Mists of Pandaria 2014: Warlords of Draenor 2016: Legion 2018: Battle for Azeroth (Releasing September 21) Star Wars: The Old Republic 2013: Rise of the Hutt Cartel 2014: Shadow of Revan 2015: Knights of the Fallen Empire 2016: Knights of the Eternal Throne

I'm 46, married, child-free by choice, work full-time, and a homebody. My wife is permanently disabled. On days off, I might spend all day in-game, from early morning to late at night, taking occasional breaks as desired to spend time with my wife, eat, and focus on other interests. My tenure at work has earned me 200 hours of paid vacation every year that I use to take month-long breaks. This year, I scheduled it for April and will likely spend most of it in-game.

I've got a new Consular ready to board the Esseles. In light of the recent media reports about the game's alleged impending doom - referring to what's already been published and subsequently debated here - I feel a growing need to see him through the core game and all current expansions as soon as possible. Is it safe for me to enjoy the game without feeling like I need to rush him through it?

I'd build one if my current rig couldn't support it.

I hate RTS games and have never played the series the MMO is based on, so the only association I have with Pandas in popular culture are the Kung Fu Panda movies, and I will never watch them. My understanding is that the very notion of the Pandaran expansion was first introduced as part of an April Fools joke that backfired due to its enormous popularity. Player demand for a real expansion skyrocketed thanks in part to the new Kung Fu Panda movie that was being marketed at the time, so Blizzard turned the joke into a real game. I canceled my own sub shortly after it was announced.

I don't care how many more expansions Blizzard releases or QoL features they introduce, I will never play an MMO in which Pandas are featured as a playable race or a group of NPCs.

I'm a sucker for a good ghost story. One of my favorite contemporary Horror movies is Insideous: Chapter 2. I thought Danielle Bisutti's portrayal of a ghost was beautifully wicked. Her character's makeup and wardrobe were absolutely gorgeous. I bought one and applied it to my Lightning Sorcerer's Nathema Zealot outfit. Coupled with her milk-white skin (I used the lightest setting available when I created her), they make the effects of her Dark V corruption really pop, making her look like an exceptionally deadly, ghost-like Sith who I have enormous fun playing. I just submitted an in-game report on this, but wanted to share it here in case anyone has a work-around. --- My Sorc needs to travel to Belsavis to continue her class quest, but there seems to be a travel bug that's effecting the game's ability to take me there. After selecting Belsavis on the galaxy map, the object represting whatever my current location is remains in my viewport while my ship briefly shakes in preparation for light speed. However, light speed never happens; its sound effect doesn't play, either. My ship remains stationary, my last location is still visible, and my quest tracker fails to update. When I exit my ship, Belsavis actually does load, but my quest tracker still tells me to go there. --- She's taken up residence at the fleet until it's fixed.

Images are worth a thousand words, so see link below. This appears to have cropped up with the last patch. EDIT: Problem solved. I was already in the zone the mission was in. The mission waypoint is so far to the East of the zone that I mistook it as pointing to the next zone over. I've removed the photobucket link to the screenshot I took.

One of the items in 5.2 mentioned updated class intros. I just rolled a new Sorc to see what they look like, was given my first task, met the soldier in the tunnel entrance, and didn't see anything different. What, exactly, did they update, and where?

My wife and I each have a subscription and have fun sharing our experiences. Her new Assassin reached 70, Monday night. We've dueled a couple times and may try BT together on Veteran mode.

I started at level 1. Good question. I don't know, but I'm now CR5 and half way to 6, after having finished the remaining Exploration, Heroic, and Class missions on Nar Shaddaa, last night.
