  1. April 10 at 4am PST, which is why I spent so much time playing this week.
  2. Yup. As with my Guardian and Juggernaut, after finishing Korriban, I outfitted her with CM armor - she looks awesome in Nathema Zealot robes - and switched out the mods about every 10 levels. Being serious as well, I'm inclined to disagree. There's no point in playing if I'm not going to be actively involved with my characters.
  3. I got tired of tanking NPCs and rolled a new Lightning Sorcerer, named K'yrra, on Friday. After doing every class and exploration mission on Korriban, Dromund Kaas, Balmorra, and being close to finishing Nar Shadda, she reached 70 sometime after midnight, yesterday morning, thanks to the current XP event and a few Major XP Boosts. As a strictly PvE player aligned with the Dark Side, I feel absolutely drunk with power rolling through mobs. K'yrra is currently Dark II, and Command Rank 4. My next goal is to reach Dark V by the time I'm ready to start the expansions again. I've played Dark Age of Camelot, City of Heroes, World of Warcraft, and Star Trek: Online, and never had this much fun leveling a new character. Thank you. Sincerely, Nyghfal
  4. Thanks! Problem solved.
  5. Thanks. :: moments later :: Tried the idea on that page, it didn't work. Tried following the support link on that page, it directed me to help.ea.com. While following help.ea.com's prompts, I was directed to the Bug Reports section of these fine forums.

Thanks.

  8. There was a web comic I used to read that was a satire of my first MMO, Dark Age of Camelot. My single favorite strip featured a player who had just finished a really long raid and decided to visit IGN's DAoC boards to share his experience. I'm paraphrasing the strip, but it read something like this: Player: "W00T! That raid was a blast! I had so much fun! Time to visit the boards and post about it!" :: thirty minutes after reading other posts :: Player: "I guess I was wrong. I really didn't have as much fun as I thought I did." While writing this, I remembered the name of the web comic: CamelotAddict.com. It hasn't been updated in 6 years, but all of the strips are still online, and they're still a hilarious and pleasantly nostalgic read for anyone who played DAoC.
  9. Nirys is 70 now, and just completed KoTET as a Light V JK. Time for her to get some very long, very well-deserved rest, until the next expansion.
  10. Nirys is 67 now, and on Chapter 2 of KoTET. She's strictly a Light Side JK - her current alignment level is Light IV - and the results of her choices have put a smile on my face every time. My plan was to cancel my latest sub once I'm done with KoTET and just keep renewing when a new expansion drops, but Nirys is such an overwhelmingly kind and merciful character - perhaps to a fault - that I felt compelled to roll another, slightly more aggressive JK who believes that some foes are beyond redemption and should simply be put down for the sake of the galaxy.
  11. As a PvE-only player, I stopped using Freezing Force shortly after acquiring it, and removed it from my toolbar because I didn't see any noticeable effect it's supposed to have on mobs.
  12. A wall positioned directly inside most structures on every... friggin'... planet... forcing you to go left or right upon entering or exiting. Who's idea was that, and why did they think it was a good one?

  14. I just dinged 55. The last paragraph of the first panel of the Welcome to 55! tutorial contains a link to a section of the site called The Elder Game. I just clicked it, only to discover that the page is blank: http://www.swtor.com/info/eldergame
  15. I'm strongly attracted to pale-skinned women, so I set her skin tone to 1.
  16. Thanks. I've also gotta say Level Sync has made double XP so much more fun. Racing to 65 with zero risk of out-leveling content is awesome.
  17. I've lost count of the number of times I've canceled my subscription, the number characters I've created and deleted for various reasons. I won't bore you with the issues I've had with the game, but despite my efforts to focus on the pros and enjoy it, several cons kept driving me away. I am very happy to see they have been addressed. When the game launched, the level cap was 50. I renewed my membership again, last month. My only character is a female Jedi Guardian, named Nirys. Thanks to Level Sync and the current double XP event, she reached 50 while on Taris, this afternoon. She's done one Flashpoint (The Esseles), all of the Exploration, Class, and Heroic missions on Tython, Coruscant, Nar Shadda, and Taris. She's worn the Cartel-bought Jedi Valiant Armor set since becoming a Jedi Knight, and is still using the same Lightsaber she crafted on Tython. I finally created a character that I thoroughly enjoy playing. She looks, and, thanks to a terrific performance by Kari Wahlgren, sounds like the heroic Jedi Knight that I wanted her to be throughout her adventures, and I could not be happier.

  19. I was 5 when I saw it in '77, and spent the next several years obsessed with the franchise, so I can definitely relate to your enthusiasm. Indeed. My own enthusiasm is tempered by the colossal disappointment of the prequels. I'm extremely thankful Lucas finally handed the reigns over to someone else again, but after three failed attempts to rekindle my love for Star Wars, I would rather not get my hopes up for what could prove to be yet another disappointment, especially given what Abrams did to the Star Trek sequel. On that note, I'm especially thankful Abrams appears to have heeded his wife's and fans advice, and pulled back on the lens flare.
  20. That's understandable. I'm cautiously optimistic. The teaser suggests certain elements of the world Lucas created still exist 30 years after the conclusion of the original story, so I'm definitely interested to see what Abrams and Kasdan have come up with to give us context.
  21. Wow... pissed, much? I was just expressing idle curiosity, and appreciation for a visual update.
  22. It's interesting that the new Crossguard has gotten most of the attention. What do you think about the blade no longer being a solid, static beam of energy, but what looks like a constantly shifting plasma stream? Artistically, I think it's a pretty cool looking update on the VFX, even a bit more realistic in terms of how a Lightsaber might look in real life. In terms of canon, I miss the old design.
  23. We do? Nice. I haven't played in nearly a year, and must've forgotten.
