Ive got 6 purple enhancement mods and 2 purple hilts on GTM atm. They have been there for the last 3 days. No one wants them. I brought a few purple materials to MAKE the mods. The way its going, im going to have to sell them cheap, with liitle profit. After i sell these mods, i am not making anymore........Just enough for me. Quest rewards are better and cheaper, so why bother buying them? All i have to say on this topic is crafting for credits is a waste of time. Dont bother. Crafting in general is broken. Its to simplistic. Apart from mining in the world ( which u dont even have to do, just go missions ) its all 1 click, and presto...No mob grinding for rare material, no traveling anywhere to grab that " elusive " mining node, no interaction with others for crafting material, no nothing, just a simplistic, fisherprice crafting system designed for 12 year olds... Wows crafting system sux big ones, but its a sad state of affairs when its actually better then what we have here...

When i first started reading all your hate posts , i thought gee, must be a hardcore gamer. Now that you have said wow is the better mmo , I lost all respect for your views from here on in. You can go back to running lfr with the rest of the mothbreathing peons 10 times a week on all your toons. I myself left that disgrace of a game i played for 5 years because it got " to casual ". Im more then prepared to hang around here to see what BW does with this game. Sure, ill buy and play d3, sure ill buy and play GW2. Guess what, ill still be playing tor because it WILL be the next big mmo when it all gets patched and fixed, mods, ui etc... Anyway , good luck in wow, where there is just SO MUCH TO DO.... I dont party with marauders, so the dungeon finder is crap for me allready. Why dont i party with marauders, BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT TANKS, no matter how much they think they are, they are not. You can jam the automated dungeon finder that teleports you to anywhere, Give us a GLOBAL LFG CHANNEL...

So the purple items you can craft outdo the orange items with up to date mods( from flashpoints ) in them? Even considering the amount of materials you need to discover and craft the purple version?

Seems like you guys are all happy with the crafting system. I guess i need something more complicated to get any joy out of it. O well, ill keep clicking my crew to go out for missions

IN all mmo's i play, i pick crafting to support myself first, then make money second. I never realy on crafting to make money. Just the stuff imake for myself isnt any good at all. All i have to do is run a few flashpoints a week and replace all my mods...

Seriously, most vendors and quest rewards give you the same or better then you can craft. Blue quality is all you need while leveling, hell even some greens, its not like the game is hard in any way to require purple mods and gear. I have artifice nearly maxed, and i am severly dissapointed with how easy, basic and very straight forward crafting is. Put this together with how easy leveling is and we have an easy game where you can just blow through everything without the neeed to craft or do anything really. IMHO i know BW wanted to make a casual MMO, but this is just waaay to casual for its own good. Crafting is pretty much useless , and this makes a domino effect where the trade market is pretty much useless. You dont even need to go near the trade market and level to 50 without a worry in the world. BW,bw,bw, what have you done. Anyone else feel like game companies nowdays honestly think we have an IQ of an ant and feel that we cannot handle a more complicated crafting system ( hell a more complicated GAME tbh )

Your the type of player that would prefer free gear in the mail, and start at lvl 50.GO Away. Crafting is a dud. When i was anticipating star wars, i honestly thought the crafting would be something grand. wows crafting isnt grand. Aions wasnt bad. Somethign that actually required time and effort to make. Something you have to fly to different planets to go aquire of rare mobs that only spawn in certain parts of the planet . 10 things from all different places and proffesions to make some cool gear. How wrong i was, we got ...this.... crafting system instead designed for 5 year olds. Its like BW said " right, i dont think you guys have the IQ for complicated crafting designs, so we give you this a 5 year old can desipher ". Shame.

You forgot one thing mate. Yes, wow does alot of things better GAMEPLAY wise ( ui, mods, macroes etc etc ) but its CONTENT as of the last 2 expansions is highly watered down crap. Trust me, i played wow for 5 years , pretty hardcore. Maybe i got burnt out with the game, who knows, i know one thing though, ill never go back to it to go play FISHERPRICELFR = MY FIRST MMO. Nor will all the others that leave of the same mindset. Tor isnt perfect, but it will be ,and we will be here to see it happen. But, by all means, go ahead, go back to overnerfed beloved wow and run your 10 toons through lfr every week and grind dailies till your eyes bleed. Because , you do know, wow only has 1 raid atm,DS and 2 faceroll dungeons made for kids, all the rest is " outdated ". Apart from that, what else is there to do in that game?

God damn it, my group cannot kill revan. He goes immune to damage at 9k hitpoints for the last 3 goes now. Yesterday i feel thru the floor twice and disconnected. Day before during converstion, it reset him alltogether. Im starting to get a but frustrated with it, can you tell !!11!!1

The difference is really , in all honesty, wow just plain sucks today. Easy as that. They wanted kids to come and play pandas and pokemon and 25 man lfr raids that are easier then their nerfed 5 man heroics, they got it, and now their product needs a g8+ rating on it. Ill be here playing tor and gw2 when it comes out. Ill buy diablo 3, but if its as nerfed and fail as wow has become, then im done with blizz .

This is the best write up describing wow i have seen on these boards yet, perfect. Sums up how i feel about that game too a tee. What people NEED to understand is, most of us will NEVER go back to wow, even if tor somehow doesnt deliver. All you people saying " this sux, im gong back to wow ", i dunno how anyone possibly could go BACK to that casualfest. Sure , the gameplay is smoother, it runs well, but i still wont go back just because it runs better then tor atm. that game is a disgrace of what it once was. that is why we are so fanboyishly defending this game as there is NOTHING else for us to go play at this present moment in time. See this is the thing. Im usually one to keep up with the curve, and level and be amongst those at max level getting nice gear in raids. 1 thing ive come to realise is when a BRAND NEW game comes out , especially a mmo, its going to have faults, and its going to be atleast 1-2 months before they are ironed out. Im chilling leveling, crafting, just goofing around. Im lvl 39. I got time. Thus im prepared to give them some time to make the game awesome. It has potential to be an awesome game once they figure out some things and fix others. To all you people that rushed to max level and are now moaning about it, all i got to say is suck it up princesses, what did you expect? Dont even start telling me but i payed 80 dollars for this game blah blah...O NOES 80 bucks, a third of a days wage....what in gods name am i going to now that ive spent a whole 80 dollars on this game.booohooo. So many times ( especially in the heat of combat ) when ive needed to type something quick, ive accidently hit the backslash button and opened up a ticket, and its not easy to close down either. Who in their right mind would put the ticket hotkey above enter which you have to push every time you want to talk. The worst thing is, the hotkey DOES NOT REMAP...Its HARDMAPPED to \...

What does star wars offer? ITS NOT **** like wow has become for a starter. Go back to your lfr mate and run it 10 times a week on alts.

Who would one of those be? I play maybe 4 hours a night and am lvl 40, it was easy. Ive watched every cutscene and doen every quest and fp so far! mmo and grinding go hand in hand dont they, or you after more of a farmville scenario?

1 mode, no normal, heroic. first few bossed easy, work into harder bosses

Its not about clearing raids. Its about ease of everything. easy flashpoints , easy leveling, credits rain from the sky, gear rains from the sky, everything is just , easy, and easy is never fun, it doesnt feel like youve earned it..

So what they are basically saying is, just like wow, once you beat normal mode ( easy faceroll ) all you have to look forward till the next patch is downing nightmare mode all 3-4 times a week, for 4-6 weeks? The wow bc model worked sooo much better, everyone was still raiding all content, not just the latest raid on nightmare. If you wher egood, you progressed to seee it all, if you where ok, then youd see alot and strive to get better, if u where bad, then you did dailies till you got better. THE WAY IT SHOULD BE!

Depends who you talk to. the older gen that grew up with the likes of eq and uo would say yes, they are a sin, whilst the wow gen literally wont play any other game UNLESS it has easy mechanics
