  1. You know, this is probably one of the most sensible replies I've read on this forum. Good answer
  2. Are you kidding? Because I'm only a casual player I'm considered a bad player? Please tell me that I've misunderstood your comment.
  3. Nah . . . it'll never happen. Too many people would like it
  4. Let's face it, if I am going to go to all the bother to convince up to three friends to sign on, shouldn't there be a reward for my efforts? I guess they simply want us to do these things out of the goodness of our hearts. Anyway, doesn't this offer seem to smack of desperation?
  5. Thanks for the useful list. I've often wondered, but have been too busy crafting to think about going back and gathering mats from the source. I typically send my crew out for the desired grade that's needed, but those missions start adding up and really bite into the old profit margin.
  6. Did they really need to make the cool downs on the ability bar so obvious and annoying? What was wrong with it in the first place? The amount of whiners who want to idiot proof the game is simply becoming too much. This isn't a game for 5 year olds, but for people who are at least 16. How much more has to be dumbed down in order to pacify the babies?
  7. Some very good ideas there. Very clearly and rationally stated solutions to an obvious problem. But will Bioware listen?
  8. It's like he said, he's been gaming this way since the 80's and is used to it. So am I, for that matter, and it works just fine for us old timers.
  9. I'm with you there, fella. An extra bar in the middle is desperately needed.
  10. Players should be made to navigate the perils of space to get from one planet system to the other. Why do we always have to use the hyper-drive to get places? I want to take the scenic route and explore, just the like the good old SWG space days.
  11. Good grief, people! Take a flippin' break from the game! Most people in the EU are at work or in school during this time, so what does it matter? Find the balance in The Force, Younglings.
  12. Yes, let's give them some credit. It's a great game and I expect that it will only get better. I'm fed up with all of the moaners and whiners - let's be positive for a change
  13. The thing to remember is that the vast majority of happy players rarely - if ever - visit these forums. I'm a bit fed up with the doomsayers and their farewell curses. Why they can't quietly go away and mutter to themselves is beyond comprehension. This is a good game and will only get better. It's only been live for one month. Give it a chance or go away.
  14. Enough already with the sad farewells of disgruntled players. Can you all not just quietly retire? No one really cares.
  15. Seriously, you need to find a balance. All things in moderation, etc.
  16. Good grief! Most people are either at work or school. And if you're not at either one of these during this time slot mid-week, why not pull yourself away from the machine and get some fresh air? MMOs are not meant to be a substitute for real lfe.
  17. I think it's a nice gesture. Thanks, Bioware As the vast majority of players already know, the game isn't bad at all. In fact, it's brilliant! For those of us who are enjoying the game, many happy returns for SWTOR!
  18. Not sure which server you are on, but Hidden Beks is jam packed with players of all levels running about and doing missions. Even the dreaded Hoth had almost 100 peeps on last night, more than enough to buddy up with and do some heroics. I will add that almost all pick up group experiences have been postive. There's always someone willing to help and players are actually pleasant to one another. Try a different server.
  19. So why hasn't this thread been locked yet? I've seen some today that have been locked for less. (I'm at work, btw ) Just another disgruntled player signing off. Adieu.
  20. Is it true that they are going to limit forum participation to people who actually have a paid subscription to the game?
  21. No, actually, you're missing the point. What he said was quite sensible and fits well with the average player's ambitions. Most aren't trying to corner the market in gifts but are simply trying to get what they can for the items for the smallest amount of hassle. There's leveling to be done, for Pete's sake! Having said that, why not wait a month or two and allow the market a chance to mature? Right now the server economies are still developing. However, as more and more players level their mains to 50, things will probably settle down and players will become a bit more sensible regarding profit and reward. Just remember, it's a game.
  22. A good response, but I have to disagree with you about vibroknives not being proper weapons. As an imp operative, my biggest damage is done with a knife. But I can see what you mean as for some classes knives would serve as stat sticks and not very useful for attack. Perhaps they need to differentiate certain knives for certain classes?
  23. Server economics play a big part in reaping any rewards from crafting. Personally, I'm not bothering selling or buying anything from the markets for at least another month or so. I think it will take at least that long for things to settle after people level their main characters to 50.
