  1. Your numbers are fancy and all... but you overlooked one critical point. That "200k" Bioware stands to gain, I'd wager my next months pay 60% are already on board with bootcamp. Sputter and cry all day, TOR isn't coming out for CrapOSX. The market isn't there outside of the people already playing via Bootcamp.
  2. Because it's annoying as hell searching through 74 pages of single items to find the one you want, especially with TORs **** AH UI.
  3. That's fine, you don't have to use it. But in MY group... if I have 2 Marauders and for arguments sake ones doing 10k the other is doing 5k and the average DPS in the raid is 8k, I am going to kick the 5k guy if he doesn't step it up on the next boss. There is nothing I, nor many others in-game hate more then that moocher who doesn't do anything useful except spam auto attack.
  4. 1. That counts pre-orders, so the is highly skewing the results. 2. That only counts the purchase of the box game itself. 3. Compare the server status page from launch to now. FULL all the way down except for a couple servers, now barely any hit full. Yea, a ton of people bought the game before launch, but they all stopped subbing. Box sales don't mean diddly, it's how many subscribers you have, which really isn't a lot.
  5. Because leveling up is boring as ****? You can dress it all up with story and voice and hype it up, but it still sucks, and end game is where the fun was supposed to be (in TOR it's not sadly). Adding more annoying voice that you can't skip altogether and making leveling up take longer isn't the answer. Challenging and Rewarding content is. WoW's raids have minimalistic ingame story behind them, it tells you who what when and where, and then you go in and kill ****, and it's challenging, rewarding and FUN. TOR it's just grab 6-7 of your buddies and go herp derp through it spamming the space bar all the way.
  6. Explode, this thread shall. Just wait for the e-mail to go out. I resubbed just to be able to post.... for the lulz!
  7. Yes, this game is clearly not WoW, and is failing as such, as that is what people want. And if you can't see why combat logs are needed, clearly you aren't a decent or better player. Running through a boss fight in a instance or raid... and the group wipes... let me go check the combat log and see.... oh wait, can't, oh well, let's try it again with no *********** idea as to what's killing us, or if my rotation is the best, or if Jimmy over there is even pulling the same amount of DPS, let's just blindly herp derp so the bad players aren't called out for being bad so they have to improve.
  8. One, do every level 50 daily, including PvP, and you'll nab 200k. Drop artifice and grab Bioan, and sell all the mats on the AH, make bank, thirdly, Ilum is a easy planet... if you can't do it... sorry, but go get some better gear. Making 2-300k a day is extremely easy, more once you know what to sell and what not to sell.
  9. Combat Log and Macros are the only 2 things I can totally agree with, I don't agree with anything else. But yet, just out of spite to Bioware, their whole philosophy of "we" is really starting to piss me off more then it did during the beta when it wasn't so bad. "We didn't like the match to chest option".... so they remove it when polls indicated over 90% of people loved it. Who cares if gear started looking the same, it was a lot better then looking like a clown who ran through a paint store knocking down shelves. And the many other examples of Bioware deciding that it's their game, they'll do what they want, conveniantly forgetting the fact we pay them to play.
  10. Doesn't apply. In this game, they can't "beat you down" if you get it first, all they can do is rage at you, nothing more. I come in, spam tab and q and win the tag 99% of the time then savor the rage. There is no line for a mob spawn, whoever tags it first gets it, sorry you have to click the mob then click the skill while I can just spam my macro key and tab and q constantly.
  11. Just means you suck. Auto Turn is a huge disadvantage for melee, and a huge advantage for ranged. It's good to see who the scrubs are in this thread, they're the ones who are crying for it to not be removed, because otherwise they'd suck.
  12. People are qutting left and right, "This is not the MMO you are looking for" aptly describes the situation. Populations are going to drop for another month or two then will stabilize.
  13. At least as horde you don't get stuck waiting 97 minutes for a match to get..... Huttball. You can pop a Arena queue in less then 3 minutes, faster on the more populated servers.
  14. No, politicians are far more reliable then Bioware.
  15. As I read the OP I had this picture in my mind the whole time.
  16. Building it yourself is really the only option unless you want to overpay. In reality, the HARDEST part of building a new computer is tucking away the wires, which really isn't all that necessary. It makes it look good, yes, but if you paid attention to cooling, just have them zip tied out of the way is fine. For 1k and reusing some basic parts you can build the equivalent of a 2.5k computer, and really, it's plug and play, and I am not kidding. Once you get the mobo down, you just plug stuff in and put it where it goes, go google "How to build computer" there are hundred of guides that show you what to do, and it's not that hard. The money you save is outstanding, and you choose that parts. The only downside is warranty stuff is 2-3 companies instead of one, but that is easily fixable if you focus on one manufacturer for parts. Right now I only have to deal with Asus and Intel for my components outside of my PSU, Hard Drive and Keyboard/Mouse. And in the past 4 months, they've been far more helpful then any company, because 9 out of 10 times, they'll send you the new component without hesitation as long as you send in the old one.
  17. If they're doing that, send 2-3 or to that point, pull the rest back to cap mid as they'll be attacking East or West over and over and Mid will be weakened, and you should own your own side. Once you own mid and your side, it's hard to lose unless your team isn't trying/isn't good.
  18. Penalizing quitters won't start making you win, you'll just get the people who AFK at the goal line in Huttball so the timer stocks ticking down. Until they allow people to choose what they want to play or make all WZs inter-faction capable expect leavers, myself included because not everyone enjoys getting into a 3-0 Huttball with no chance of winning, a match with fresh 50s in no PvP gear, etc.
  19. If you play a Juggernaut, you should be a scoring machine. Grab ball mid, get up top, Force Charge an enemy (they'll always have someone running up from spawn, then normally you should have 1 or 2 people running to the goal, Intercede to them, you can cover 60 meters in 3 seconds, and worse comes to worse, pass the ball, or pop force push to reset Force Charges CD and re-charge back up if you get knocked into the pit. And if people just stay in the middle, tell them to buckle the hell up and score once before you do that.
  20. I get where you're coming from, but look at it from another perspective. Let's say winning or losing was a flat 100 Commendations and 1250 valor for winning, 50 Commendations and 750 valor for Losing, +2 per MVP vote, that's a far worse option then letting each players game stats dictate their medals and valor. I average 8-9 per game as a Juggernaut and I'm normally running with a healer so Invincible isn't uncommon, am I bad a player? Nope. Alderaan I always go mid, capture and hold it, Left is held and we 3-3 split it with 2 on the upper ramp to react to where it's needed. Huttball is so simple once you tell people at the beginning to keep the ball moving by constantly passing and voidstar I honestly just leave because I dislike it more then huttball. If it came down to no more medals, I probably wouldn't PvP at all.... because I don't like holding my PvP progression in the hands of 4-6 other players hands, because even going in with 3 others in my party, I still run the risk of getting 4 players that have 0 PvP gear and are clickers, with Medals, I can still easily get my 80 comms and call it a day.
  21. Sorry, hate to burst your bubble, but ability delay has been in the game since it was created essentially. It was a massive oversight on Biowares part, and a 1st Year Programmer who was thinking of making a good game, and not make some quick cash would have saw the issue ahead of time.
  22. No, just no. The core is horrible. If you take away the Voice Overs and Cut Scenes you're left with a pile of crap combat that doesn't even work like it should. Rift's was far smoother and better, Rift's problem was it went and cloned WoW way to much, it'd be sitting at a million subs easily if it wasn't so blatantly WoW minus a few things. TOR on the other hand shouldn't even be compared to WoW at all because it's just a disgrace for WoW to be compared to TOR, sluggish combat, typical story without choices affecting the environment, or even the environment changing after certain points. TOR is nothing without it's story, and the boat is sinking and there isn't a damn thing Bioware can do about it because they were too arrogant in Beta to acknowledge all the complaints and recommendations months ago, but instead said "Oh errbody luvs our game!" and yet here we are, just a month over launch and the populations went from over half the servers being full with queues down to less then 5 even hitting very heavy, while WoW still has plenty of Full and High pop servers.
  23. SWTOR isn't getting up, it's already been clubbed in the knees, it's not getting up, it failed hard at launch and couldn't compete with WoW so people (myself included) went back. You should know from history MMOs that do horribly at launch never go up large amounts in subscribers, they only go down with brief splurts of activity that dwindle as quickly as they come.
  24. Crafting in this game is no different then any other game, well, I lied, there is a slight difference, you can do it anywhere, other then that it's the exact same, nothing special. Companions are smarter AI? Go grab a WoW trial, make a hunter, group up with a mage, rogue, etc and have them CC something, I guarantee you that your boar, scorpion or whatever pet you choose WON'T attack it, unlike here where it's a crap shoot what your pet'll do. And you should go read WoW's story, if they were to ever go in and give it full voice and cutscenes, it'd be far better then TORs generic "Go my young Jedi, save the universeeeee!!!!!!!!!" story that was so predictable.
  25. It can take up to 7 days like Bioware said, that's what's going on.
