My expectations for solo queue Warzones has never been good -especially for sub-50. It's fun, but putting 8 random people together and expecting them to work well as a team is asking too much. Also the characters have widely varying character levels and gear. I've got a few lvl 40s in crafted custom purples and those can usually take on 2 or 3 enemies at a time.
At the end of chapter 2 (Hoth lvl 40ish) you unlock your class buff for all your alt characters and you can unlock the companion buffs by getting maximum affection with your companions and finishing their conversations. The companion conversations also give quite a lot of legacy xp which you need for a lot of the legacy perks. (Right now I'm at legacy 19 and working towards 25 to unlock the GTN terminal on my ships.)
Yeah well I hope they don't nerf my Warriors because some carebears can't handle a little pvp competition. PvP re-balancing causes more problems in TOR than their glitchy graphics updates. PvE should come first imho.
There are tons of people that just don't take the time to learn how to play in a group. Even worse, they get mad when you try to teach them, like you are trying to insult them by teaching them how to win.
Just recently I did Maelstrom Prison with a PUG and the healer was the one running ahead and starting fights without waiting for people to rest. At one point I had to type "STOP" in chat because he kept going even when a group member died. Clueless. I don't think he even knew he was the healer until I told him.
Aren't their maximum stat versions of every color? They seriously do not need to change color crystals at all. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I can't believe they would even consider changing the color crystals. There only needs to be 4 versions of every color and it's covered.
Companion gifts tier 3 and above can be used to max out companion affection. Affection increases a companion's Crew Skill critical chance and efficiency (speed). +5% critical & +15% efficiency at 10000 (maximum) affection.
Gifts missions also have a chance to return crafting schematics.
Bounty Hunter, Trooper or Warrior
BH, Trooper and Warrior get the healing companion early on. I grind MOBs without having to rest/heal & solo-kill double-gold Champion NPCs.
-heavy armor
-healing companion (Mako, Elara or Quinn)
-damage spec
That's easy I can tell you right now.
Knight/Warrior = Strength
Smuggler/Agent = Cunning
Consular/Inquisitor = Willpower
Trooper/Bounty Hunter = Aim
If you're a tank = Endurance
You mean like Disney won't let robot chicken make fun of Star Wars anymore or what? Who cares they are making new movies. They aren't going to shut down your mickey mouse fan fiction. Only if you're making money off it should you be worried.
Doing Ops with PUGs is futile unless everyone uses voicechat; Ventrillo, Teamspeak, Dolby, Mumble or something like that. This game should have built-in-voice comm. Even that pos DDO has built-in voice.
You're right, it's impossible to get to level 50. No one has ever gotten a character to level 50 is SWTOR.
If you are having trouble it's likely due to your character and companion's gear. Gear effect scales with level in SWTOR so the level of your armor and weapons should be as close to your character's level as possible. (Blue or Purple if possible.)
The crafting system is fine except endgame.
One major issue is that the materials for crafting decent gear are somewhat expensive or time-consuming to obtain, so not a lot of people spend time crafting for the GTN. Let's just say it would be very difficult to fully gear a toon at any given level using only the GTN.
Another main issue is that very few items are actually worth crafting at endgame since almost everything you need is easily obtained doing HM FPs. You can fully gear your people with loot drops except for augments and stims.
In the time it takes you to craft or assemble a halfway decent set of artifact custom crafted gear you could have probably just got the highest tier of raid gear from loot (which would have better stats anyways).
When you first add an augment kit to an item you have to use the augment kit drop down menu on the crafting table window to select the tier for any kit past tier 1. By default it shows MK 1. So, If you want to add a MK 4 augment slot you have to manually select MK 4 from the Add Augment Slot drop-down menu.
