  1. It's a solid 7. if they ironed out the glitches and made crafting a more important endgame activity I'd give it a 9. I'd give it a 10 if they developed a scaling-story-based Skirmish system like LOTRO has.
  2. Does anybody do Merc heals spec for PvP? I might try it just for a laugh.
  3. They just don't have as many escape utilities as the other stationary ranged classes (& a lot of inductions). Supposedly the defensive cooldowns and heavy armor make up for it, but in practice Mercs are squishy because PVP is so burst-damage-heavy in this game. Like others have said, if you are being ignored you can dish it out, but as soon as you get targeted by a decent opponent you're basically useless with only like 3 decent instant attacks.
  4. I find little comfort to think that somewhere a person that lacks the hand-eye coordination to play TOR video game space missions is firing a real live shotgun.
  5. yup, i agree. especially in sub 50 wzs a lot depends on your lvl and gear but some people can make any class work well. ive seen really good people of all classes
  6. juggs kind of wade into battle and smash everyone in a group but ops have to be more agile and backstab people. thats how i see it anyways
  7. Operatives are good for pvp but the best operatives are really good at strafing and moving their person around. You have to be real mobile
  8. probably rage juggernaut or pyrotech powertech. they are heavy armor with good survivability, damage and not a lot of abilities to think about.
  9. it all depends on your gear, build and how you play. statistics don't matter that much if you don't know how to play the class.
  10. I think it depends on what kind of character you want to make. Melee classes like rage warriors do good burst area damage but stealth classes like deception assassins and operatives do bursty single-target backstab damage. Snipers probably have the best single-target ranged where mercs do good area ranged. it really depends on your build and gear and how well you play. I often top the damage chart on my juggernaut, marauder, gunslinger and assassin in sub-50 wzs.
  11. I actually agree with you to an extent. There is very little reason to revisit planets after you have gone through the story or to explore around. It's like the path through the game is dictated so much by the main story that there is no incentive to do anything else. Once you get to lvl 50 you can either raid, queue for warzones or start a new character.
  12. That's for sure. If you are a soloer the story ends at 50 and there are only the dailies to do. We haven't gotten any new content yet that wasn't for raiders or PvP. well...that last event was pretty good, but no new major story content or class missions. the dailies get old pretty fast too. i got to the point where i was soloing the daily heroic 4s just to challenge myself, but then they nerfd them to heroic 2s
  13. On the other end of the spectrum they could have made the endgame drops all super rare with long lockouts on all the FP instances, but then people would just complain that it was too hard.
  14. Just do it. How hard is it to finish your class quest? in the time it took you to navigate to this website and post this thread you probably could have just done the dang missions.
  15. Same here, the UI hangs on loading screens, the white box, etc.
  16. I'm going with the wait and see approach. I really like the single-player-type class story elements combined with crafting and a multiplayer in-game marketplace. I think that all game producers nowadays think every online RPG has to be like WOW, but they should just stick with making it like KOTOR/Dragon Age/Mass Effect online; A Bioware RPG with optional multiplayer. I think they have been trying to do too much with SWTOR when they should just stick with what has made them successful and make it a good interactive RPG.
  17. The tiers go like this; I 10-16 II 17-24 III 25-32 IV 33-40 V 41-48 VI 49-50 Typically the max lvl item for each tier (the lvl of item you want to save most of your mats for) is as follows; I 15 II 23 III 31 IV 39 V 47 VI 49 & 50 Every 8 lvls or so. (So for example the highest lvl tier I armoring is lvl 15. Highest lvl tier II armoring is lvl 23 etc.) Some items fall just under or above those lvls or require mats from a different tier, but you get the general idea. Search the planets in those lvl ranges to find your mats.
  18. So the tooltip should simply say, "Increases crafting critical chance 1%" right? In that case I'm going to buy that legacy for all my people.
  19. Slicing is mainly a gathering skill u noobs. I never lose credits harvesting slicing nodes.
  20. -Large White box in upper left corner of screen flashes briefly at character selection -Prolonged full black screen on loading screen transition -Stuttering frame rates in general when logged into all my characters -graphics glitches with lightsaber trails, blaster bolt animations, hyperspace and other special effects DXDIAG;
  21. Look at it this way, modifications use less resources to craft than offhands. Get your hilt/barrel/mod/enhance recipes all purpled out and sell those.
  22. Yeah, unfortunately that's how the system originally worked and it seems that 1.4 somehow reverted it back to that state.
  23. I had an augment schematic in my inventory that my character already knows. It showed highlighted in his inventory and it was consumed when I right-clicked on it. Wasted augment schematic that could have been sold or traded. Make sure you double-check schematics before you click on them by looking at your crew skills craft window to see if it's already known.
  24. Looks awesome but I'd be more excited to see more single-player/solo content added to TOR quite frankly. The typical "fight the giant monster" WOW model of raiding isn't that interesting to me anymore or dealing with all the multiplayer gamer egos. I quit my guild because all they did was argue about raiding.
  25. It might be worth a try but my feeling is it would probably be better in general to supply your main and companion with modifiable gear for their main stat. I've never tried it myself but that's because Presence only effects your companion, it doesn't do anything for your main character yet it takes up stat budget on your main character's gear.
