Hi All Ok little update, the roaming groups of players must have only been a once of occasion as everything has settled down, the starter area is still a little crowded but its fine.. I have decided to give the Jedi Shadow a go, for a few reqasons, double bladed light saber, stealth and Force Powers, what more can you ask for, lol. I have just gotten to Level 10, have my lightsaber and just about to leave for my next planet. I know its early on but any advice on talents and rotations for Solo Play? Cheers Dj

Hi All Thanks for the replies, currently leveling a Jedi Consulor at the moment, although I really cant get any enjoyment from this game. Maybe I am playing on the wrong server but I only have a choice of 3 English european servers (playing on the PvE one). I am in the starter zone which is completly mobbed, there seems to be groups of russians just going around stomping on anything that moves and chat is barley english at the moment. The only time the game is slightly bareable is when I am in my own Story instance. Now yes I know this is an MMORPG so there will be lots of players but didnt expect to be constantly fighting for scraps with these roaming squads of players killing everything in sight. I am hoping this is just short term unitl the free to play bug wears off. Anyone else having issues like this or have I just started playing the game at a bad time? Cheers Dj

Hi All Just new to game, so looking for some help from experienced players. 1st thing I know this is an MMORPG bur for the moment I am treating the game a little like KOTOR 3, I just want to play the story and level to 50 for my first Char solo. I know that some missions will involve taking on Elites and Champions so looking for a class that can handles these types of Mobs. As for side, no real debate Good or Dark, at the moment either is fine, as for class well I do like lightsabers but if one of the other classes are suited better for a first solo class then by all means please suggest. Hi Thanks for the reply, I have just realised I am running 32bit Windows 7 which only addresses 3gb of Ram, so there is a waste there. I will look into upgrading to 64 bit. My machine has a lot on it, maybe a wipe and reinstall is all that it is needing anyway.

Really?? The game is that bad. I have several friends who play the game but they dont seem to have any problems not like me anyway, they are averaging around 60 - 70 fps but they have high end systems. Hmmm I will check my PSU tonight I am sure its a 500 or 600 Watt PSU but will check as I had to replace it last year as my old one went pop.

Hi Thanks for the reply, yes I have Shadows off, its usually one of the first thing I turn off in high end games, just so I can play. Its quite funny though as I can play Skyrim on high without any problems and SWTOR as a lower spec.

Hi All My computer is currently the following. Intel Core 2 Quad Core Q8300 4 Gb Memory 1 TB Samsung HDD 512mb Nvidia 8800GTX Windows 7 I know its pretty old unfortuantly I cannot afford a new PC at the moment. Unfortuantly my SWTOR experience is terrible, I average 20fps when playing the game and that is everything set at low. Could I salvage my current PC by upgrading the memory and GPU, Say 8gb of memory and a new GTX 560 1 gb GPU, would this then allow me to run the game with much better performance? Cheers Alucardmai
