  1. Of course it is. It got to be the suits calling these shots because no decent RPG designer would be shooting themselves in the foot like this. They put all these content rewards in the cash shop so you really don't have to even play to obtain it and once people buy it all they are going to get bored and quit.
  2. Where is the sense of accomplishment in that? You obtained Revan's robe by buying 6 "loot bags". Uh...grats?
  3. I actually find it hard to believe there was enough interest to warrant adding new space missions at all. Are the space missions super popular and I'm just unaware of it? I mean I'll do one once in a while if i need a few creds and i'm waiting for something to craft but it's not my main thing. Warzones I know are popular.
  4. So 1 year anniversary and we get a new warzone, 6 space missions and more cash shop loot bomb gear? I hope the cash shop is working for you guys because the whole thing smacks of desperation. They are selling off the future PVE content rewards as grab bags in the cash shop now? I hate to be a complainer but the cartel packs kind of irk me. Let's just skip the RPG altogether and play a skinner-box loot machine MMO. Endless KOTOR
  5. augments are the only piece of gear that are exclusively crafted you have to either make them yourself or get them from another player via trade & the GTN. there are augment recipes for armormech, armstech and synthweaver all found from slicing crew skill
  6. Even the much-acclaimed SWG crafting system wasn't so much skill-based. It was really just a matter of persistence and luck in trying to harvest 900 stat or better quality resources. If you had the right resources you could crank out 100% quality items all day long. We even had factories that would do it for you. the RNG was actually the resource spawns.
  7. I'm not sure how you could make crafting skill-based in the way you are suggesting. I mean so much in this MMORPG is based on RNG, even twitch combat skills aren't that reliable because of latency, plus stats are the most important aspect. Even the most "skillful" player would have a hard time doing the content without the proper gear/stats. Everything you do you essentially "roll the dice", it just happens behind the scenes.
  8. The funny part is once you get to lvl 50 none of that really matters because all the BIS gear comes from loot drops or vendors. Also, these days you would be better off getting a custom, modifiable offhand and putting modifications in it to suit your build. Cybertech, Artifice and Armstech baby! So much easier to make purple item modifications.
  9. There is no variation, it's not 2-3 people with 2-3 toons. It's 6, There are exactly 6 crafting skills in SWTOR. I know because I have 6 toons. read my sig (that would be minimum 4 - maximum 9 by the way)
  10. the servers just went down for a 2 hours patch anyways.
  11. no one really needs a buttload of lvl 1 alts on different servers though
  12. You could do that, but I'm pretty sure you would be violating some unwritten law of moral conduct.
  13. It sat in your house/guild hall looking like a giant dragon skull. One thing that helped me is that I started doing my class quests on a planet first and then I go back and do the side quests. The stories are more memorable when you focus on one at a time IMHO. It helps if you are slightly over level from PvP or FPs. When I start a planet I'm usually at least at the maximum lvl for that planet range. I get the exploration xp up front and unlock all the travel points doing the class quest. it makes it easier to backtrack the side & planet missions.
  14. I could see making Tionese easier to get but that's about it. What they should do is put Tionese craft schematics in the loot tables. Tionese and Recruit should be endgame crafting IMHO.
  15. Oh please when we first got to endgame we had to use daily gear to do the hardmodes and recruit gear didn't exist. They should not be selling Columi in the cash shop -ever, that's tier 2 endgame stuff. You should have to beat the hardmodes to get it at least.
  16. Maybe they need incentive to develop it? IDN. I wouldn't mind paying a little extra for it, nothing too crazy maybe a few hundred Cartel.
  17. I can't believe there isn't more desire for this feature, it's literally the only major gameplay tool not available on the ships. All I'm saying is I don't see the IMT as a social feature so that isn't a reason why it can't be on the ships> It would be a nice convenience.
  18. I'm a subscriber since day 1 so the only change to FTP for me is the ability to buy Legacy unlocks with Cartel. I like it. I hope it's working, I would hate to see this game shut down because it's my favorite.
  19. it depends, if youre doing solo-queue WZs hybrid builds might work well since it's usually "every man for himself". generally-speaking pure builds are more effective. playing tank in WZs is futile unless you have backup & teamwork burst damage rules in solo-queue WZs my assassin does better in deception just mauling the crap outta everyone, but thats just me.
  20. Can we please get an Item Modification Table on our ships as a Legacy or Cartel shop perk? It's the only thing missing.
  21. I think the Republic version of Taris is more interesting than the Empire version because it relates to KOTOR but generally it's pretty cool. It's got decent heroics and the landscape looks crazy. My favorite planet is actually Dromund Kaas, even though it's a newbie planet the setting there is awesome.
