On my primary PC, it updated and I can run the game fine (it's out of commission right now). I have a fresh install of Windows 10 on a different PC, and I downloaded the latest installer after having trouble with the launcher when using the installer from 2020. Well nothing is different. I input username, password, key, and it just sits there with the blue spinning circles. Same issue as with the 2020 installer. Both PCs have the latest Win 10. The difference between the two is that my primary PC's version originates from the old Disc installation. I started a game on Steam that installed some Direct X redistributables, and now SWTOR and other Steam games that require that are all running. Note: None of my SWTOR copies use Steam. I delete all my files and try a reinstall but I keep getting this message and I can't install anything. I have an install via Steam who is working but we are 3 players sharing a computer and this solution doesn't work for use (because we don't have 3 steams account) Any idea who can help me ? Thank you all I'm confused. Steam accounts are free. SWTOR can be free. I have 5 accounts, all hooked up on Steam. I subscribe to one account, which has all my main toons, and the other four accounts are preferred and sate my altoholism. All you need for each Steam account is a unique email address, done. Steam has a means where you can switch between accounts. I can understand if the three of you share one subscribed account because that's what your money allows, but if people don't mind playing FTP or preferred, Steam and Bioware work just fine together for multiple accounts. Sfreedom Posted June 7, 2023 Share Posted June 7, 2023 (edited) If you are on Windows try using this path, C:\Windows\Temp ,in File explorer, and then delete what you can there and log issue should temporarily go away, This was recommend by a fellow guild member of mine. ray-g-net Posted April 19 Share Posted April 19 (edited) I've tried 9.6 and few proton versions with lutris, also one WINE compilation without mono and all leading to the same result Host_WindowLoadTimeout. (i have AMD but similar result to your nvidia) Ive deleted all temps, i tried on 2 different profiles, few DVX versions (not newest) and nothing . I have no idea what they changed in launcher on Tuesday. With WINE 9.6 and 9.7 all is ok. Launcher is running and log in works, So swtor working fine. Only new problem i got is camera. when i rotate camera, at first move camera always moving to the ground. Can be avoid by holding cursor at eyes line of character, if cursor is in different place then camera 1st rotate somewhere then working ok until next r o l mouse click and rotate then same rotate somewhere then normal behavior. It went from being a perfectly normal size to being super huge, and it's not been fixed even yet. It's ridiculous to have to move this giant box to "just the right angle" that I can put in my password and still manage to move the gigantic launcher so that I can hit "Play." But have no fear, devs are super, laser-focused on removing and/or taxing into uselessness QOL earns (Quick Travel, exiting our SH on its planet), gimping our powers and tacticals, and harming (or worse trying to force them into PVP and GSF) solo cq PVEers. They have priorities, after all, and fixing the launcher is clearly way down the list compared to finding ways to tax players out of being a part of a community who helps new players (no, I am not going to spend millions of creds to give a new player a crap speeder I couldn't sell for 10 creds on the GTN but that they can't afford because repairs and QT are so ridiculously expensive now that they can't get to 5k to buy the cheapest speeder available). As to the launcher, I found that I have to maneuver it just up and to the right, but ensuring that I can still move it again, so it's kind of tricky. Then I enter my password, wait, then I move the launcher all the way over to the left and up again (now I can no longer move the launcher because I can't get it to a place that I can still move it AND click "Play," so if something goes wrong I have to relaunch and do the whole thing over again). I had to do this when it first changed because I was not able to log in at all. Someone in the forums was a huge help on that!
