I can't access a menu to tell you exactly what it is, but there IS an option to turn ON and OFF the hover over, AND to turn it on to show up without having to hover over....Just look around in the settings....probably interface menu and you should locate it. Do you mean hide the icon that tells you if a choice is light or dark in conversations? If so then yes, i believe there IS an option to shut those off.
