  1. This should be a high priority item. I'm getting sick and tired of clicking on unusable buttons during tense solo fights against multiple elites. Please correct this glaringly annoying issue in the next fix! Holgar
  2. Yeah, I used to think it was gone too. The issue is that it was the default in Beta, but you have to set it manually in the live game. Holgar
  3. It would be great if Bioware could respond to some of the numerous threads regarding this issue... Holgar
  4. Actually, if you are doing any kind of challenging content, those seconds do matter! Also, if you play a melee class that requires you to actually pay attention to the environment instead of just staring at cooldown buttons, the problem is 10 times worse. Holgar
  5. Actually, your logic is flawed because the game is meant to run on different machines. Just because Bioware didn't mess up your graphics settings doesn't mean it didn't mess up someone else's who has a different graphics card, etc. More the point: The same thing happened to me and I was able to fix it by messing around with the graphics settings. It was a bug that was showing the wrong settings (i.e. it said I still had the same settings even though it had changed them!) So please stop trying to make people feel bad who are having problems, okay? Holgar
  6. To the OP: My graphics also looked horrible when I first logged in after 1.1. I found that I had to revert to the a non-custom setting, and then redo the customization (in my case, it had to do with screen resolution being maxed out and Shadows being off). I think the issue was that it was giving me a much lower resolution, even though it still said I had high resolution. But by reverting everything and then redoing the settings, it was fine. Holgar
  7. At the moment, no, but there are dozens of people complaining about this. Hopefully BioWare is listening and will offer a toggle. Holgar
  8. Agree with the OP. This is a terrible system. If you're not flagged for PvP, you should not be able to affect, or be affected by, those who PvP. This isn't rocket science. Holgar
  9. Yes, this needs to be fixed immediately. Sucks the fun right out of the game for me. Nothing like squinting at cooldown bars instead of seeing the environment to make the game unfun.
  10. The new cooldown interface is a huge, game breaking annoyance for me.
  11. I agree, this is extremely annoying. You say adapt? So I should adapt to squinting at my long-term cooldown buttons instead of actually watching the environment? Adapt to constantly pressing buttons that don't work and getting my *** kicked because of it? No, this is a problem I will adapt to, sadly, by leaving the game if unremedied. And I have not complained one time on these forums since starting to play in mid-December. Holgar
  12. I agree with the OP. This is completely ridiculous. At the very least, this should be an option in Preferences. I was having not problems with the UI before, now I can't even look at the environment because I spend the whole game squinting (and still misjudging) my long cooldowns. This is enough to make me quit until it's fixed. I was loving the game, but now hate it. Holgar
  13. I thought for sure this was a bug, but then I read this: "The cooldown indicator on hotbars no longer causes all ability icons to appear grayed out (unusable). Now, when an ability is on cooldown, it will not be grayed out if its activation conditions (like resource costs or range) are met." Holy crap, the game is so much more frustrating to play now. I have to squint at my hotbars to see if my long cooldown abilities are ready to go or not. I can't even glance at anything else on the screen, so all the pretty combat graphics have become lost for me. What's worse, I'm constantly clicking on abilities that aren't ready yet, which means I'm wasting precious time during solo battles against Elites. Or worse, I click on an ability that is visually lagging, assume the cooldown isn't done, and then click another button only to see the other ability start going and then get interrupted (like Force Choke). Man, I am not one to complain but this is game breaking for me. At least give us the option in Preferences to play the old way if we still want. It's this kind of stupidity that makes me quit these games. Holgar
  14. And in the future, I suggest doing all of the optionals for all the quests. That extra XP is needed to stay a level or two above the quests. I have found that, in order to be able to take on 2 elites at the same time, it's good to be 3 or 4 levels above them. When fighting a single elite, usually just being one level above them makes a big difference. Holgar
