As the title implies I'm looking for cool decoration ideas. This could be a single item or a combination. I recently added security fences and a bounty holding cell to my collection after seeing someone use them as a functioning entry gate. Needless to say I was pretty impressed with it.

Ooh an ex-guildie of mine used to combine decos & would make them look awesome!

She had a specific plant that would sit on the Czerka Desk I think it was. She also made a very cool sink with running water!

 

You might check out some ideas on Tor-Decorating site. I think that one has some ideas. Also it lists a TON of decos to browse.

I do this with the security fences and the quarantine cells. I like the idea of the bounty cell because you can activate and deactivate it.. .that is pretty cool.

 

 

as for combinations. I use the zakuul focus stones (the datacron looking ones you get for one of the KotFE story completions) and the lightsaber forge to have focus stones on the forge.

 

I also have the Jedi Temple Fountain under the Copero Tree so it looks like the tree is being watered.

  • I use the class symbol signs horizontally to make tables in my SH bar.
     
  • With a few carbonite bounties, some neon signs and a couple of bars and lots of people it looks for all the world like a slightly seedy nightclub or cantina.
     
  • Wampa rugs always make hallways and entrances look intimidating - but in bedrooms and offices look a little more homely.
  • Appearance designer console in front of a sofa looks like its some kind of futuristic t.v. lounge.
     
  • Trees and plants on shelves ( especially alongside the stars in Nar Shadaa) are a nice touch and if you gather from them regularly, It puts them all together - (in order if you're that way inclined)
     
  • A canopy and a bar outside with some seats is like a pool-side bar. - Good on Manaan. - And lots of banners in a row make for a grand entrance.
     
  • I've seen some of the achievement pictures all on top of one another to make a stained-glass window effect.

Overall, though a theme is better than randomly placed decos.

So a space theme or temple theme or bar theme or office theme or lounge theme for instance.

Being dense, I couldn't work out which server you are on however you are welcome to have a look around my completed strongholds for ideas - they are all on Darth Malgus. Whilst I have a link to my Rishi stronghold in my signature, the pictures don't really capture what I've done. These three are my favourites:

 

Rishi Stonghold (Mahiri's Pirate Roost):

I have themed areas including in the balcony apartment a Dread Sith room with two Pillar of the Despaired placed strategically in front of Iokath Steam Vents so it looks as if they are breathing out smoke. Also on that level I have an Dark Empire Force Users room and a Light Republic Force Users Room.

The Beach is basically a massive party area. The Sun Room is a cantina & Hillside rooms is a shady casino (Hutts run it). I have various statue tributes & a hidden Mandalorian & prisoner area. The Patrol Carrier is designed as a mini city with crew work areas and quarters and the Sky deck is for ship/transport/munitions storage and personnel training area (I tried to get it to look like various personnel are carrying out fighting/infiltration exercises).

 

Nar Shaddaa Stronghold (Mahiri's Vacation Retreat):

This one is sort of neutral to reflect the Alliance with a reception and a mixture of bedrooms for my favourite companions and a bar on the entry level. Outside on the balcony is the relaxation area in which I have a waterfall landing in a pool using the Nathema Conspiracy Waterfall decoration and Jedi Temple Fountain. On the first floor is a Dark Sith ritual room, a medical bay and a nightclub (I have many many male Twi'lek dancers in that room - don't judge :D ).

 

Kaas City Apartment (Mahiri's Imperial Sanctuary):

On the ground (first)* floor I have a sith training room with a couple of Master Dark Datacrons various personnel including Darth Marr, Darth Hexid and Vinn Atrius (who I decided to resurrect in my SH as a DS sith), a tech development room (manned by Yuun and Scorpio) and a cantina. I designed the outside area for the the dark, rainy atmosphere with statues (Nathema and Valkorion) and flooring that fit.

First (second)* floor has a Sith themed room with pools and sith style statues, an armoury and bedrooms for my favourite empire side companions that I had no room for in my Nar Shaddaa stronghold (Vector's is sort of Alderaan/Killik themed).

 

I hope they give you some ideas.

 

 

*Being a Brit ground level is "ground floor" and the next level is "first floor" - I think in the U.S. you call those first and second?

I like the rotating red light. Put that on one side of the NS stronghold door, any door, and the light continues into the next room. Do that 20 times and BOOM instant party room.

 

Warning: Epileptic seizures possible.

 

I also should warn people that my nightclub/party rooms have those lights :D

I have searched and can not find the answer. Is there a Decoration that you can drop in your stronghold to buy the crafting items from like the Repair droid we can get on each toon?

 

I assume you're talking about the legacy perk droid that sells the flux fluid. Unfortunately I don't think there is decoration for this yet.
