  1. I have always wanted to finish this once so I did it last week. Vengeance Jugg, 330 gear, 334 implants. I'm not the most agile player. Up to round 6 I never had issues anyway. The Breaktown Brawler fight was challenging though and I needed two tries. But that was indeed the most challenging, everything afterwards went down in the first try. I consulted guides before every fight. What I'm saying is: yes, it is challenging. Might be more challenging with some other specs or lower gear. But it is definitely doable.

Here's something I'd like to see in outfitter - it would require some dev effort but could also be monetized easily: give us the option to make some changes in outfitter like we can at the appearance modification station (not everything, but maybe hairstyle/-color, complexion, cosmetics/jewelry) and store them in an outfit slot. The cc cost could be the same as at the station.

  4. Thanks both of you for the kind words. The outdoor "room" with the sith statue walls is one of my favourites too. And I absolutely love the Zakuul decos. I think I used up all my 44 or so Standing Floor Lamps. This SH was so much fun to decorate. This is on Darth Malgus, it is publicly listed on both sides. I will be away over the long weekend, but usually online in the evening CET time and on weekends.

  6. Some things are great, but for my taste there is a little too much empty space and some things are too big. I would like to see more posts at a glance. I'll give it some time to get used to.

  8. @JackieKo Will the new forum still go down in every maintenance? One thing I found annoying is that (if I'm not mistaken) in order to get updates on the current maintenance status (like "maintenance will take longer"), you need to have a Twitter account, since those updates are posted on Twitter.

  10. I have played MMOs without level sync in the past - it just opens up avenues for grief play. And if people CAN grief others, they WILL (eg. AoE all quest mobs in a lowbie area). As much as this feels like a solo game, unless you're in an instanced story area, it is still a multiplayer game. And players being vastly overpowered in PvE where players share mob related game objectives spells disaster. Yes, even with the new shared tagging. Because you can't tag a mob that gets one-shotted by the AoE of a max level player when there''s no level sync.
  11. I believe most decos are not specifically designed but rather that they take assets already in use in world design and scale them. You can find most decos in the game world and my guess is that they are repurposed as decos later on.
  12. I never said you need to become a "whale". I simply stated that the real big spenders (not the whales Androssan was referring to) keep this game alive through their spendings. Source: me being a product manager in the F2P industry for the past 10 years. (Caveat: not all F2P games rely equally on the big spenders. But my guess is that this game does).
  13. Just a short comment regarding the "whales" moniker. In the F2P industry this usually denotes big spenders (real money spenders), the other two groups being "Dolphins" and "Minnows". So if the real "whales" left, this game would actually be dead. So it's not quite the correct term for the people with tons of credits (via exploits).
  14. That's the idea I had as well. Also maybe place the two thrantas and/or the flirron, they could pass as some floating underwater creatures. ^^ Still, overall I completely agree with the tenor of this thread. I don't believe anyone currently at Bioware has ever decorated a stronghold.
  15. My dream for a stronghold overhaul would be a flexible expansion system, where you basically have a couple of ground tiles and then can choose between several building parts to put there. Those parts would need to fit together like puzzle pieces. Example: You start in the middle with a "main building" tile which has connections/doorways at all four sides. You can then place different "content tiles" adjacent to it. For example: you can choose if you connect another building part with several rooms or just a small doorway that leads into a garden. Such a system could provide the opportunity to unlock new tiles with different layouts and even the look could be themed differently. Well, it's just a dream of course.
  16. Yes, and some have "guaranteed first time story play through drops" in crates (and not much after that). It's a little sad because imho they had a great system with Copero and Nathema. A nice assortment of different decos and something dropping at every boss (iirc). As a decoration fan, the Nul decos are also a little disappointing overall - and once again without much thought given to the assigned hooks (obelisk on large hook).
  17. What I would like to see from the UI dev is improvement of the main UI, especially the horrible buff display options, instead of stuff nobody asked for. Give us the option to hide the (now automatically applied) class/legacy buffs and info I don't need like being mounted. More options for order, highlighting, etc. would be nice too.
  18. Thanks to a reddit user I found out that when the cashiers at the inner circle are bugged, the ones up the stairs are still working. I'm approaching this event this way, since I already got enough golden certs from last year, so I'm only interested in the emperor machine rewards (others might have better approaches): 1. I get my initial emperors token from normal game activity (currently grinding a FP for a mount drop and iirc I get 1-3 emperor tokens each time. 2. I play the smuggler machines with normal chips (the max bet are a waste for me, since I'm only interested in the buff). 3. Once I got the buff, I play emperor machines. I probably get a lot of kingpin chips from them. 4. I turn the kingpin chips into max bet chips and play them (after refreshing buff on smuggler machines) to get a couple more emperor chips.
  19. I support this idea. Although I don't think any dev will ever read this (maybe post it in the suggestion forum too?). Copero, Nathema and Star Fortress are good examples on having a nice variety of drops. Currently I'm grinding legacy of the rakata for the aquatic sleen and I would love to have some other decos than the rakata palm as a consolation prize.

It has been a while but back then (a year or so ago, maybe longer) I managed to get that achievement (and unlock Hexid) without ever using group finder (although even back then I believe the wording on the achievement was the same). All I did was do Red Reaper stealth runs with a guildmate (so it counted as a group). Not sure if it still works this way but back then I was glad I didn't have to group with randoms.
  21. I think you can do some creative stuff with the walls, but not necessarily much in the tiny fleet apartments. How great would it be though if they released some penthouse deco packs that contain kitchen furniture and appliances, bathroom stuff, etc.?
  22. Since you explicitly mentioned the dramatic extrovert set as an example I assume that is one of the things you desire. So just a quick tip: On the fleet, cartel bazaar, vendor "J-OS4" (Underworld Exchange) sells the armor pieces for a few credits and cartel certificates (about 10-15k credits each; 1 cartel cert. each (robe: 2 certs)). You can get cartel certificates occasionally from the seasonal rewards track. You can get a lot of those during the Nar Shaddaa Nightlife event in summer. Check out the other vendors there as well. There are a couple of nice mounts, dyes and other stuff for cartel certs. Of course it still makes sense to take Gyronamics' advice and make credits, so you can buy other stuff too.
