Or was it revenge? Yes I was wondering about that too - and the twins. Senya said she asked them to leave with her but they refused. If Valkorion was ignoring them why did they stay rather with him instead coming with her in the first place? I mean I guess this was before Vaylin was taken to Nathema? At least I got the impression it was. And on Nathema I guess Vaylin was already hating Senya for telling Valkorion that she is dangerous which led him to imprison her on Nathema. But to hate Senya that much that she wouldn't even leave Nathema with her is hard for me to understand. I mean she could have used Senya to escape and punish her in a different way later. Maybe she saw Nathema as challenge to grow stronger and to return and get her revenge? Although she did kind of submit to her father without him having to use her condition phrase. In the trailer Valkorion saw Vaylin power and Senya try to stop Vaylin. Valkorion kicked Senya out then Senya tried to rescue Vaylin but that child refused and stay with Valkorion. Valkorion caged Vaylin cause she lack of discipline and does not know how to control her power thus it will dangerous for everyone included Valkorion if she is free with her raw power. Senya just a normal force user without ability over run Valkorion so I myself don't blame her for everything, all 3 of her childs REFUSED to escape with Senya, they're all refer the power from Valkorion. Valkoryon corpse or Vitiate real body (notes talk about “family”, not “blood relative”) is your best bet. I do understand that you desire to involve Senya and Arcann, but have you read the footnotes concerning the Force Ghost summoning? If you want Vaylin less inclined to kill you, you will need them well and alive at that stage. And if you will want Vaylin to be more stable and emotionally develop (even if she will probably never recovers fully), you will need them well and alive... well, for as long as possible. Edit: I skimmed the notes. Paul, your attention span is the second biggest obstacle for Vaylin resurrection . Not that i blame you, this ritual it's a lot of hassle. Have you considered the Yawin Temple Machine? Of course if you use that, Vaylin will reach new levels of crazy, but I take it is a trait you like in her? Didn't we destroy the Yavin resurrection device? Heh, my first pick was the god machine on Belsavis ... the thing that claims it can make life. I even have an easy step by step guide on how that procedure would go. Step 1: Go to Belsavis Step 2: Throw Vaylin's body into the machine with the Holocron. Step 3a: Tell it to fix her Step 3b: Threaten it with windows 10 if it refuses Step 4a: Cheer! Step 4b: Deploy the emergency hug procedure in case things go wrong. Step 5: ???? Not sure if resurrecting her will be enough reason for her to overlook that. If you took her on a rampage across the galaxy, that might appease her. Hmmm, this is a concern ... but fear not ... we'll have a series of tests ready to determine whether Valky is influencing her. Test 1: We'll offer her the Eternal Throne chair ... if she hates it ... we're good. Test 2: We'll team her up with Senya for a mission, if Senya doesn't come back, we're good. Vaylin personal quirks (duh), glitches (never underestimate the corrupting aura of Windows 10), sabotage (yes, believe it or not, sometimes sentient machines do not like being blackmailed), “will of the Force” (aka devs), the decay of the Vaylin corpse (I know you forgot to put it into stasis immediately, Paul), things never going according to plan (they never do), intervention of outside forces (some people dislike Vaylin for some reason), Pauls short attention span, tendency not to read the instructions and lack of desire to follow them to the letter (admit it, you never bother with such trivial things), were all taken into account (among other things). So... looking at the possible outcomes now and can not help but wounder - why you are so intent on getting yourself killed? I do not think that a new pet bolraida with a slight affinity to the Force is worth it. P.S. If you will go with that plan, would you like to give me your Cartel Market items for the “safekeeping”? Maybe focus on parts of the game introduced through the 4.0 and 5.0 expansions? Then reward us with a Vaylin companion if we complete the event requirements? This is there I draw a line... I don't know, if it came down to a choice between doing this and not having any path at all, I would try it. But, yeah, I would like something new if she were to get story time, and something simple if not. But if they made an event out of it, I would get myself through KotET if I knew I could help the Empress in some way at the end, beyond giving her five minutes of real freedom and her ceasing to exist. I do know that I ultimately failed to get the DvL companion, because I got to the parts where I needed a group and just couldn't finish them. I don't have enough online friends to do it easily. For that event, it didn't bother me much, since the companion was an extra, but I wouldn't like this tied to how gregarious I am. This wouldn't be that bad, since I don't think any of the suggested bits require the larger groups, but it would still have times of sheer tedium unless we already have group content handled, which I don't.
