Dear SCORPIO, please don't betray me.

Is SCORPIO even capable of betraying the Agent? Remember the programming that was put in her on Belsavis which kept her from doing just that?

Good calling that out! Don't worry, I didn't forget. They'd explain it (if she does go HAL on our butts) "It's been five years. I've figured out how to by-pass that BS."

IIRC, at certain point she can remove them if you let her self-improve. There have been some conversation about "stay with me and learn new things" IIRC.

In any case, even if she was all "let's see what else will happen to you", she may decide that entertainment value of observing agent is nothing compared to a Eternal Fleet and Gravestone.

If you read any spoilers you will know who is going to betray you and stay loyal. Although nothing is really a surprise and every single class story focused on betrayal at some point (some more than once.) Personally I would like to see choices in your class stories matter, but I think that is a pipe dream.

I believe Koth is full filling a Han Solo roll, so to speak.

Solo took his credits and took off, only to return in the nick of time to help Luke make that all important shot on the death star. In the end, Han's sense of Loyalty made him go back and help Luke and the rebels, as well win the hearts of every one once again.

At a vital point in the big battle and in the grand scheme of things. Koth will come blazing back to save the day and win the hearts of every one once again, too....

I also think Syna may betray us. I mean in the end we are trying to kill her kids. And a Mom'ma bear will protect her young once her self gets over that fact she too once to kill them, which she couldnt kill Valyn in their battle back on Asylum...

I can see Lana betraying us. More over her broken heart then any thing else. I mean since Vett's back she rekindled her romance. Which means the players romance with Lana is over. Awe a woman Scorned.

I do not think SCORPIO will betray us. She had realized that the player has incredible charisma, that is like a magnet, that just keeps attracting followers to his cause. And He Is SO Powerful. She knows he/she has a Power she can never understand as Infinite as she is, and as well as Powerful she thinks she is. She Admires him like no other life form. Betray the player, i think not. But sacrifice her self for the player, is what i see......

Please not T7, T7 = Jedi's best friend!

Also I have Senya at 50 influence, so that would suck. But honeslty I can't see Senya being the betrayer, she is too brutally honest to go that route imo.

SCORPIO may apear too obvious now because we have been discussing it for a while. A player that never visits the forums may still be surprised if she betrays the Outlander.

.... I will definitely be looking around the forums for your reaction to Chapter 16 after it comes out. :rak_04:

My Jorgan and Kaliyo are alive, so I don't know if it'd be any of them.

Vette doesn't seem the type. Gault maybe, but his woman Hylo would probably kill him before I gave him a good swift kick in the cajones.

Torian, maybe, but I doubt it. He's all about honor.

My Koth is still with me. He never got butt hurt and left, so I don't think he'd betray me.

Theron or Lana? Eh...it depends on what happens. Valkorian couldn't take over their minds while they were on Ziost, but that doesn't mean anything.

T7? God I hope not, he too cute and sweet to be a betrayer.

That leaves Senya and Scorpio. I can see Scorpio betraying us IF we're not an agent who did her companion story and was as kind to her as one can be. That doesn't mean anything generally speaking, but still. At least on the agent, I don't see it too much.

As for Senya? It's up in the air. She could betray us, or not.

Truth be told, it could wind up being the Specialist for the Force Enclave who betrays us. At this moment, I have no idea what will happen. I have tried to treat my companions, alerts and story ones, with respect, but maybe I did something in chapter 4 that pissed a bunch of people off, I don't know.

SCORPIO seems so suspicious and sinister all the time that I am convinced it's a red herring, and if anyone betrays us it will be someone who you wouldn't see coming from a 1000 miles away.

As long as it's not Theron, I don't give a toss who it is :p

I do think the "red herring" is a strong possibility. The teaser picture for the next chapter shows Theron, Scorpio and Senya—I don't know why but I think that might be relevant. If it's not Scorpio like most are expecting, I think it might be Senya, which would be disappointing in a number of ways. Not least of which would be that Koth ends up being right about her.

If it is Theron there better be some kind of outside influence involved. And that goes for any of the other "main character" companions. Another

Quinn-like

betrayal would be devastating.

Is it betrayal?

Scorpio aims were to take the Eternal fleet.. Back.. ie: she had it first.. and somehow Valkorian took it away from her..

We're not done with Scorpio yet, and she has not yet fully taken her revenge on he that caused her injury in the first place. The players Alliance wanted the Eternal Fleet removed from Arkin's control. Well, might not have turned out quite the way everyone wanted but Arkin no longer has control of it. Not only has he been significantly weakened but he has completely lost control of Zakul. That's Scorpio's turf now.

Scorpio is still to be considered an ally. She has not yet become an enemy, and I think she will remember her friends.

This story line is going to have multiple endings possible depending upon the players alignment and choices.. we were promised this, its in writing. Ok? What I do notice is that Scorpio is down there next to Darth Marr in the companion contacts.. so no longer a companion..well that makes sense seeing she just instantly make her self a galactic military super power. And then there is Gemini Prime..and a story point point to consider. Scorpio gave the Gemini ship captain free will. Could this also have been extended to Gemini Prime?

I don't quite thinks what Scorpio has done warrants being called betrayal. She took no assets from the Alliance, nor did she weaken the Alliance. What she did do is remove the Eternal Fleet as a tool in Arken's hands.. and while not quite what the "alliance" had in mind may be the optimal goal for what could have turned into a long term story line black hole in the making. Scorpio now holds the eternal throne. And the Fleet which is not longer in a position to be siezed by either the Republic or the Sith empire. She may have also set the stage for the player to be liberated from Valkorians plans...which I some how feel are going to involve at some point Valkurian kicking the player out of their own mind. Remember Lord Vash Sith Inquisitor players?

(All player run Sith Inquisitors must be utter hotties ya know, Vash and now Valkorioan do tend to bring an entirely new meaning to the term "I want your body!" )

Which brings to mind Khem Val who has survived such a possession and is promised to appear soon. Pretty sure he's got something to do with the player being liberated from a possibly terminal case case of Valkorian possession.

Easy Cowboys, we ain't been quite betrayed yet.. Remember the promise of this story arc.. you the players personal choices matter. My character has always been strait up with Scorpio, and she's always been rather strait up in return. I do believe she is rather fond of my character, and it is unlikely she bears me any ill will. I do manage to keep surprising her, and she does find that rather delightful. As for Scorpio, she's both passionate, and passionless. And she's not "human" or alien... She's ultimately a machine. There is a goal to her heuristic directive of self improvement.. But no one in any of the story lines so far has ever asked what that goal is. No one has ever asked what Scorpio's goal is..That directive guides her every decision. She is unique. The Gemini's were apparently created using her as a template without her consent.. I'm pretty sure it involved trickery and the use of one of the Star Forges, and I'm pretty sure it involved Valkurian. I do believe we can all agree this has likely really torqued he bolts!

(ie: The Emperor, in what ever skin he was wearing at the time, And it had to have been done before she was stuffed into a deep hole on Belsavis.a very very very long time ago! Scorpio has been around nearly as long as the Emperor has been.. possibly longer! No one has asked that, and no one has said one way or the other so far... Just hints here and there.
