JediArchives
Also nice to see the biggest bugs have been fixed. . Lol what? They didn't fix any of the game-breaking bugs. I have 2 characters stuck on Alderaan. My main has been stuck on Alderaan unable to load into him since December 18th. None of the large bugs were fixed. Everyone who was having problems with game-breaking bugs before the patch...are still struggling with the exact same bugs. owenthorn
I am so glad they made the resource nodes all glowy and sparkly, I never would have found them.............. cosmetic **** later, FIX BUGS FIRST
TYGRHobbes
Wow, BioWare could give everyone 100 bucks and you all would find something to complain about that What, does everyone have ADD in here? Give it some time, sheesh!
Farabee
They didn't fix the "fourth crew skill" bug when you log into an alt and back. Ability delay is still there. Major slicing nerf. Successful patch guys. Edit: Oh, and still no AA. Edited December 27, 2011 by Farabee
Daobaz
Figures they nerf slicing AFTER I give away all my credits to jealous friends. Now that slicing is worthless, what's a good skill to pick up?
Amdarius
Seems rather thin for a new update..... isn't this the kind of stuff they're doing in the all-too-often maintenance that lasts 8 hours a night?
WuphonsReach
Very thin on changes for a "first" patch. Even with the major holidays, they had to have been doing *something* since Dec 13th or so (which is probably when they froze the code for the launch). I've seen smaller MMO development houses do a much better job at getting bugs quashed quickly. Just to name some "quick hits" that could probably have been tackled: - Your companion returns from a mission while you're in a space mission and then attempts to float through space as you bob and weave through the rest of the mission. - Companions getting stuck in the "prone" animation after being knocked down by NPCs. - Companion abilities that won't stay toggled off (such as Qyzen's EMP blast, which breaks all nearby CC). - Items in the options menu which don't remember their setting (such as the "show dark side glow"). - The guild window that constantly breaks and stops showing people until you reset the UI (with Ctrl-U twice). Varghjerta
The UI is still a pile of ****. Off-GCD Abilities still don't fire correctly which breaks PvP, and ops frames are still bugged to hell, which breaks all gameplay. Worst MMORPG UI in the past decade. Seriously, the WoW vanilla UI was less buggy. So maybe a break would be best for you? And sorry that shows how less you know calling this Ui as a failure . Question : Can you click and DPS ? Can you use youre keyboard to do the same? If both is yes how did the UI fail ? Or can it be that you miss some features?
WuphonsReach
On another positive note. I would expect a LARGE patch to come down the pipe next tuesday or the next. It is now after Christmas and devs should now be a little more rested and refocused after spending some quality time with their families.....something they have been deprived of while slaving over this GAME for you greedy and whiny consumers. Won't happen. If this is all they have to show for the last few weeks, that means it takes them at least 3-4 weeks to push through any change that matters through their system. You're not going to see a big "fix" release now until late-January or early-February. This doesn't appear to be a development team who works in a rapid-turnabout fashion. SunofVich
Pretty good for a week out from launch. Not as good as Kerberos. Those guys are machines when it comes to patches. Still would like a searchable GTN and get rid of the constant need for the 1 to be in the cost box even after trying to backspace it.
jtobscure
I wondering what the fix to "baby names in the credits" is. lol
Amdarius
When a company gets too big (e.g., you add EA's admin to Bioware's own administration), you see crap updates like this. There are so many levels of bureaucratic approval that need to happen that paralysis sets in and then the monkeys (us programmers) start to get frustrated and disillusioned with the company. Neeseek
lol @ this thread. first minor patch and people are complaining. no ****. There will be more patches, not everything can be addressed at once.
CygnusMX
It is foolish to push untested code to patch something, if it breaks something else in an edge case in a more catastrophic way then the cure was worse than the disease. When patching DA2 Developer had to express in the Dragon Age Forums that they have to take time doing these fixes for reasons stated above. Agree with this post, their fixes may take awhile but fixing 1 thing and breaking 3 more things is not a solution and I think Bioware is thorough when they patch/fix their games.
