buying new pc

I built my son a new PC: AMD 8350 8 core CPU, 512 SSD, 16G RAM, Nvidia 970, new case, Monitor and PWR supply for around $1200. That would blow that machine away so I have to question the price for what you've picked.

Like has been said above, just about any machine will play SWTOR if you have a decent CPU and Video card. Buying a dedicated "gaming machine" is usually a rip. They inflate the price because they advertise it as a"gaming machine". For far less, you could go buy ... and I don't believe I'm saying this ... a Dell with an I7, 8G RAM and pickup a decent video card and pop it in.

Fancy lights and an obsolete card like a GTX760 does not a gaming machine make.

IMO, I would shop around some more.

Its not a bad build, but I've seen builds with the i5-4690K and GTX 770 3GB graphics cards for around the same price.

Here is one example, though this is using a GTX 960 for graphics.

If you watch a few youtube videos on building your own, you could probably save enough money to upgrade to a GTX 970 or 980.

Heck, just drop another 120 or so on an aftermarket liquid cooler and you could OC that puppy too, but might have to loosen the ram timings since it's the tightest CAS latency out there for 1866 MHz. But that just means you can loosen it and push that baby harder, while still keeping your timings in range of other ram sticks at stock speeds.
