Wow, they put in a way to get Cartel Certs from just spending credits (after you got the one item from a Pack)? Damn.

Couple that with Contraband Rep items being a reward and we may see a fire-sale on Revan's Masks before people just go after the Rep Vendor version.:p

Yes, be interesting to see how rare it becomes.

It COULD come back to bite them though.

People now spend lots of credits on gambling packs that other people spend real money buying to get said credits.

It may happen people get the slot machine and spend more credits on that instead of cartel packs meaning people spending less real money on cartel packs as a result.

It probably won't overly make much difference but the logic would dictate not to expect it to become a new trend they are going for or to continually add in new "prizes" unless there really is a lot of money that needs "sinking".

What are the possible prizes? Is there a list? Didn't even see it on Dulfy's site that I could see?

Jawa materials for exchange (green, blue & purple), Cartel Certificates or Contraband Reputation tokens (the first Cartel reputation). 2 examples from Reddit what people got buying stack of chips (99 = around 50k) and playing:

I must admit I'm torn about this decoration. The idea is definitely great; what makes me hesitant are the rewards.

- It is far from Credit sink; the rewards, at least in my initial experience, balance and most likely outweigh the cost

- It further devaluates the Conquest, making its rewards even more obsolete

- It noticeably lowers the value of CM certificates - Bioware is sort of shooting itself in the leg here

- When the Cartel Reputation came out, Bioware explicitly stated that it is meant as a "reward for people who purchase packs" (I'm sure the yellow post can still be found somewhere). This change negated that statement. While a solid argument could be made that it's an "archaic" reputation, it again means that people may be less likely to purchase the corresponding packs.

I was wondering what that 500 coin deco coin was for - Yay more credit drains! ;)

(And spams on Fleet and Nar Shadda for people to come visit their Casinos!)

I put a few out, bought 2 stacks of coins, whats that, 90k?

I got 4 CM certs, 15 purple jawa bits, 12 blue jawa bits and loads of greens. Additionally I got a **** load of rep items which I sold back the vendor, for roughtly 75k, not a bad return given the certs and purple mats.

I do expect them to tone these rewards down, assuming they are actually interested in people using the craft system, which from a gathering perspective is literally out of business overnight, unless of course these machines are actually super rare.

This is one thing I actually like! Damn, what is happening to me.

If you get an average of 18 jawa junk per 50k credits spent, that's a profit of roughly 100k right there excluding the cartel certs and other jawa materials. Seems like it'll immensely devalue the materials market not to mention old packs. In fact, I'd expect people to start botting this. As adorable as it is, those chips should be much much more expensive. Edited by Ryvirath
