CommanderKeeva
Yet another Tuesday goes by without a patch. Even if Bioware can't fix this particular problem yet, which is the most annoying one by far, there are still plenty of glaring issues to be corrected from the 3.0 launch. So....when can we expect any fix for anything?
Ferrnitty
Hell even a server reboot might help but lord knows the last time they shut down 4 a sec ta do that!!! Might have been to patch in the completely worthless lifeday thingie. Edited January 6, 2015 by Ferrnitty

mmmbuddah
My patients are wearing thing tbh. I started a new character because the lag was so bad on the new planets and in 60 warzones / flashpoints / op that I was just getting my *** handed to me, only to find out, that it is even WORSE on the starter planets. I have defended this game to the grave BW, but this deafening silence / vague replies we are getting is simply not acceptable. This should be priority 1 over - everything -. class balance does NOT matter if we cannot properly play the game.
LukeyboyT
The ability delay , whilst acceptable at launch , clearly is not acceptable all these weeks later. I have now taken all my 10 toons threw the appalling Rishi and Yavin 4 expansion. Not one of them played with any level of enjoyment because of the ability delay. SWTOR should compensate its users for such poor service. We have paid for something we just are not getting.
Lyshar
First off, Happy New Years everyone! I apologize if you feel a lack of communication around this issue. Unfortunately, I haven't provided much since I do not have a status update as of yet. Here is what I can tell you. We definitely have not forgotten about this and the team is still assessing what the cause is, and how we can begin to address it. What I am going to do is to work with the team to get a status update with as much detail as I can, by next Friday (although hopefully before then!). Thank you again for your continued patience. We know that dealing with these issues isn't the best experience and we will get them addressed as soon as we can! -eric Well, since lag day is over, can we at least have a real reset so any memory leakage from that can be purged? It feels a little less now, but just flipping a switch did not help much for the big picture. I remember the times where there was at least maintenance every 2 weeks, the restart that included was often enough needed to kill the lag that was building up. Code_Airwolf
Just wanted to give an update. I unparked my Sith Assassin on Belsavis to try one more time.....and I switched instances. I switched to Instance 2 and I went from horrendous and unplayable abilities lag, a daydreaming Khem who leaps into a fight after you're already about to die, and the "you must be behind the enemy" or whatever it keeps saying when trying to use maul while STANDING BEHIND SAID ENEMY........to on Instance 2 with like 5 people I believe it was, smooth gameplay, no lag, Khem Val was on it, I finished all the missions underleveled did some more side quests to get closer to level and was able to leave that heel hole. So........there you go. The only thing that changed was the instance. I don't know if that's going to always work, or is THE solution or not, but it worked on Belsavis. Code_Airwolf
Quick follow up. You were smooth on instance 2, did you attempt to play on instance 1 before you switched or did you simply log in and then switch? Instance 1 was hell. I think it was 55-58 count. What typically would not have been a scary # before 3.0, now that # seems to mean Belsavis hell. It was suggested to me to try changing instances. Thought it would be pointless but tried it, why not? Then the magic happened.

Icykill_
PvP was sort of fixed and ok over the holidays... But now they are back at work it has started to get worse again Did they reduce the number of instances they created to combat the lag??... If so, they need to add them again I can't understand how a higher peak period was ok... But a lower peak period (after holidays), gets worse?? Grayseven
Today's behavior was...odd. I can only assume the powers that be are tweaking things to either fix a problem or to identify the problem. Unless the oddness was due to a lower number of people on during the day as people get back to work and school. Without official information we have no way of knowing, which is unfortunate. We could all post examples of what we are seeing but how do we know whether or not it is a part of the ability lag issue? I'd like to be able to help just to get rid of the bloody delay. Code_Airwolf
That doesn't work, I have been on planets with 5 - 10 players and the delay is still there. This is strictly a problem with their software and hardware, and needs to be addressed. It doesn't work in regard to player count, correct? But not the Instance, per se? Maybe it's not the player count, but the actual instance itself. There are people on here far smarter than me when it comes to how the server end works in an mmo. Is there possibly a reason that Instance 1 no matter how many players there are, has issues/lag and an Instance 2 has no issues at all? Something like Instance 1 never reboots and Instance 2 is a freshly loaded server, or something like that? Again, take it easy on me if I'm speaking shenanigans but the Instance 2 seems to work for me. *knock on wood* So far at least.....And again, this only started after 3.0 dropped......
