  1. Wondering the same. It's not like I started to conquest more, but if I don't know if there's a point why should I even start when i haven't even logged on for the past few weeks.
  2. Has been coming a while now and is a topic in many countries (including Germany & France which last time I checked have those localized servers). But also the EU as a collective seemed to be looking at it to make it illegal in most of the connected countries... That would mean the next server merge could be a result and since the west and east coast servers are both in the same area physically they can merge everything into one mega/micro server. This became a topic especially when EA had their other title also SW related I believe, which made them react to this negative publicity. Only time can tell though if it has any effect here, but the trend seems to be that to have the lootboxes the game will have to be at least 18+. It's just that laws are always out of date and it takes governments time to admit that lootboxes are indeed gambling, but they are getting there.
  3. I stay of the opinion that if conquest is supposed to be Legacy Based, the points should firstly go to the legacy. If you do that you can increase the rewards and people would find it alt friendly again, while those that focus on one character don't pull the shorter stick either. Now that would mean all points you get are not wasted and it could be argued that that warrants a higher personal cap, but I say that would first depend on how easy it would be to get those points. As for the guild invasions, you can still say that the points count towards the guild the character that gets the points is part of. You could also say each week people have to say for which guild they want to play but that is bad. It would be working against guilds that people are part of as people can use one guild to get points for another. In my opinion the changes are a joke unless the points become legacy based first. And don't forget fewer people are playing (and paying). Communication is important to make people even want to try the 5.9 version. With what we're told I don't think the announced changes are nearly enough to get me interested in even trying it.
  4. I did not know that, I didn't check, may check it tomorrow. I'll assume you are right and if it works like that there's actually a little more hope for them as i can see people may not care for other faction achievements. Personally I would like to still see it, but then that may not be possible as it could be a combined objective with simply a different displayed text depending on faction. Will have to see if I see one worth going for sometime if I still am around. I noticed it this week as i was looking if it was a possible conquest, but as expected not worth the time and effort to even get personal goal on a single character.
  5. 5.8a patch notes: The “Rampage” Conquest objectives now require killing 100 enemies (down from 250). Not true for all of them, like Rakghoul Tunnels: Rampage. "Rakghoul Resurgence: Corellia" has the objective "Corellia: Attacking the Empire" but lacks the imperial counterpart so it can persuade people to focus on playing one faction over the other, when people already have to divide their time (and conquest) between guilds on opposing factions. What this tells me is that there's even less hope for you than I thought, which was already abysmal.
  6. Yes they removed entire questlines. They "steamlined" missions so they have less story to them, no more bonus series for some weird reason (think they thought people weren't doing them enough or some nonsense like that). Still doesn't make sense to me, the old BW cared about story, the new one is just an EA pawn.
  7. Lets ask their metrics? I for one haven't even logged on in over a week, I don't know when that may have last happened. I don't even feel like RP since they messed with things, that says a lot since I'm in a RP guild. That's how bad my mood has been getting since 5.8, and since it's unlikely they get that through their thick skulls my mood will not get better with these 5.9 tweaks. If my mood to RP returns I won't need a subscription for it and I won't need to buy Cartel Coins for it. Do their metrics tell them that?
  8. They didn't even do a full revamp of the system, if they had made it a legacy thing it could have worked better, even though still flawed. The old system was character based, the new system is... well they claim it's more legacy based? At least the lockouts are per legacy, so why not the points & rewards? If it had been redesigned to be intended per legacy (AND COMMUNICATED AS SUCH) things would have gone better in transitioning. That leaves the guild invasion, if one side of the system is per legacy so should the other perhaps? That would mean a player chooses which guild their legacy works for each week. That would have advantages as well as disadvantages, it would not be much of a guild invasion if you use one guild to earn points for another guild, but it would give people a way to give points to smaller guilds while playing with larger guilds as well, though how many would do that? Instead we are given two things: A nerfed personal conquest, both in what you can do and the points it gives. A new guild invasion that looks designed for the unnerfed personal conquest. Don't say you make some changes, then do a full revamp and then even claim it's completely redone while in fact still uses much of the old metrics. And when you test something like this you have to do it publicly but not on the live server, you do not have the manpower to test this yourselves. You could even have announced a live server test for it with the finger on the roll-back button, if you had done that people would have been much happier. Players are not your guinea pigs. If you even understood the above and had tried to anticipate it the fallout would maybe have been halved, the system would still have been a steaming pile of dung, but players would be less cross with you (being everyone involved, not just the faces we are shown).
  9. Well, the 825 is already including the bonus, without 150% bonus it's 330. The NS heroic is once per day, so if you do 8 missions you only get the points once unless you move over the reset. To get 4600 points you'd need more than 5 heroics to count (but less than 6). This would imply that you did complete other objectives to conquest, but even if we subtract the rampage score it's between 4 and 5. Even if you completed the slayer objective you wouldn't get a round number. Again it shows that the new system is not clear to people. Not only should they explain in the interface what the symbols mean, they should mention the base scores (preferably like [base Score] x [Multiplier] = [Awarded Score] ).
  10. Since alts don't matter I don't need a subscription. Though I think without a subscription I would enjoy myself even less, if that's even possible. I barely log in, hard to say if I just feel too tired to because I always need weeks to months to adjust to the daylight savings nonsense or that it's because there's an ever increasing lack of fun to be had. Who am I kidding, it's mostly the last part! Not enough fun = no need for subscription = even less fun to play = not even logging in most of the time = not participating in content = increased lack of queues = more people leaving = another server merge = latency killing even more people's interest to play = even longer queues = even less players = ... = YOU GUYS MAKING MORONIC DECISIONS GETTING FIRED! Well, one can dream at least. I already had cancelled the payment plan, but it looks like you don't even want to make an attempt to keep people playing and paying, I see no reason to get more game time when my current time runs out. You'll need a miracle.
  11. Technically I believe he was game being integrity-based, but then that doesn't help either as that means it would have to first have been integer regarding the player base. They are over the place with that, starting off as casual-friendly, moving to goldfish friendly instant gratification, moving to grindfest, slowly back to goldfish, trying to cater to ops community that left eons ago, moving to grindfest once more, now slowly moving back to goldfish levels. I may have lost a few steps, but you get the idea. I vote for option C, all of the above. He had no idea and was given a script with what to say. While bad it's the best case situation for him (same applies to Eric). Downside it does put him/them in the aforementioned goldfish department. That being the case it would prevent them doing the one thing they can as human beings a formal apology in which they can say "Yes we screwed up big time." and preferably followed by an "We need your help in a better way than this 'monitoring' excuse we gave.". If you read this, go on and show us you can promote yourselves to the shark tank and rule it, unless you prefer the small bowl waiting to be flushed down the toilet. True, playing shark may make EA flush you anyway, but at least you'd have your dignity. I think I gave my opinion clearly, though the patch date -could- be sooner. However they probably won't because they fear people getting upset with 3 patches in as many weeks. Anyone who'd have a problem with that is as you say 'delusional at best' as well.
  12. So are Warzones, and 90% of matches you replace a quitter. In any form of PvP (both WZ & GSF) pre-match tactics talks become impossible, having quitters in the first minute and throughout the match is demotivational, replacing quitters is demotivational. People play less and less serious, many times they just want to get the match over with and get their daily/weekly done.
  13. Don't forget Heroic missions, they were also brought up 50 times on day one. They used to be repeatable, last I heard they are now still 1 per legacy per day. So yeah, you can't even do as many on one character as you could before. What point is the planetary mission mission other than a boring credit grind?
  14. You can always get your personal score (if you get lucky with objectives fitting your play interests), you don't need a guild, let alone a guild invasion target. So if I read your explanation of the bug correctly and say a guild does reach the top of the high yield planet (lowest chance to be reconquered) if that guild no longer sets a new target they could be at the top of that board every week. If that is the case the bug may say that guild wins the conquest each week even though all members combined may not even get 100k points. IF that is the case an individual member just needs to get the personal conquest score to become "Conqueror of [insert planet name]". Any guild wanting to test that theory?
  15. Been subbed a long time, but it expires now and won't renew automatically. In theory they could make me buy more time, but they'd really have to work for it, I don't see that happening. Won't re-sub after time ends, they'd have to prove they got their act together before that and that doesn't mean one good patch. They'd have to: Fix the mess they made; Release a full 6.0 EXPANSION; Make a formal appology; Release a REAL subscriber reward, they are now doing them that are just a big FU to long term subscribers; Make me feel they are sincere in the above. I can probably do without the 6.0 expansion (since they'd have to have it pretty much ready) if they do all the other things, and do it before my time runs out. If they do somehow release a full expansion they can drop one other thing of that list, except for the last one. I'd need to feel they are sincere, chances that that happen are abysmally low even if they do all the other things, that is unless they really are sincere.
  16. So if that bug makes you number one, does that mean you can get the conquest rewards every week? Nice bug to add upon this broken mess. It wouldn't even be an exploit because a guild doesn't have to join conquest, it's a "We boycott conquest, not our fault if people that accidentally hit the personal cap win the planet because you forget to wipe the board.". Kind of hope to see that happen, won't happen to me though.
  17. It was just an attempt to "Nerf the Bridge". Of course it didn't stop him, but he had nothing to comment on that post, which means he lost.
  18. Yeah, what about the people that already have them? This one is even more of a re-subscriber reward than the last one, at least people that stayed sub got something new. Now people that stayed sub probably just get another item on every character that they cannot use because they have two of it. I already get a full bank tab of items I don't touch on each character I make. Just make it a subscriber reward tab in collections already and remove the mails and just give the unlocks so people can summon what they want. If I hadn't already removed the recurring billing I would do it now, not just because of this, it's everything they keep doing. Maybe it's an April Fools and you only got the one that won the popularity on that (anti)social media site I don't go to? Or maybe we get something completely different. I doubt it, they don't want to invest the resources to really add anything new.
  19. Just STOP! Conquest isn't an endgame activity, it was introduced to reinvigorate old content, to help save the queues, and it did. They changed it as they say to balance it and give smaller guilds a chance. If they wanted to revamp it to become endgame content they should have started by saying that, since they did not say that people don't have to assume so. Most people are not mind readers, and I highly doubt you are, and if you are you should just prove it and stop spouting nonsense. From the start the game was friendly towards casuals, and these past few years things only got dumbed down ad nauseam, removing the need for people to spend much time and removing the need for tactics when you could simply rush to max level using only the basic attack! No need to log in daily, spend hours on end, no need to even learn your class & spec. Converting the casual system to a hardcore one makes absolutely no sense. But then they did with Gods of the Machine what looked like an attempt to return veteran opsers, a failed attempt. I was part of such a guild, that guild died a few years ago now. Too long there was nothing new to do for the majority of them. So BW finally added a new operation and the few people that still ran progression ops beat Izax on vet mode not long after it went live, the failed conquest didn't even activate when they were bragging about the failure of this supposedly difficult boss that fell so easilly. So I suppose you could be right in that BW wanted to cater to the elitists, but then they would have advertised it as such, and they would have failed as well. You can't cater to include goldfish and then dump those goldfish in a shark tank. THEY WILL JUMP OUT OF THE TANK PREFERRING TO SUFFOCATE OVER BEING EATEN ALIVE. So my final suggestion to BW/EA, not that they read this... Stop catering to a player base you already scared off many years ago.Fot your next game pick a target audience and stick with it to the end so you can give quality, assuming EA will let you.
  20. Made one correction, t's about base points. Currently you can forget about conquest unless you have the full SH bonus. And if they do that they can put the personal goal back at 20.000 as well as the guild score to 460.000 and up as they seemed to have calculated on the old rewards only. And if they don't do that then the personal goal should be around 8500 MAX (100x PvP/GSF without SH, still very hard to do 1 character) And if they insist on making points once/legacy they need to make all the points count for all characters!
  21. It's not active unlike the notes claim it is.
  22. Any word of the lies that were meant to be in ALL conquests? Any word on the lies in the 5.8a patch notes? Yes I call them lies, I don't care if Eric lied to us or the devs lied to Eric, we got fed lies. I don't blame an individual I blame BW as a company. Just for anyone wanting proof, from the patch notes: The following Conquest Objectives have been added to all Conquests: Completing a Warzone Winning a Warzone Completing a Galactic Starfighter Match Winning a Galactic Starfighter Match The two group finders happen to be in conquest this week, but they were left out of the patch notes, so may not be next week.
  23. And if they are not going to make it alt friendly they should... HAVE ALL CONQUEST POINTS BE LEGACY SO IT WON'T MATTER IF YOU USE ALTS. That leaves guild conquest, so lets give all your guilds the points! Would be better than this current piece of manure.
  24. And the patch notes lie The following Conquest Objectives have been added to all Conquests: Winning a Galactic Starfighter Match It's not there.
  25. Since half of that isn't in the patch notes, does it mean half will not be in the game? I'm just curious.
