Hey I'm sitting here playing and noticing that the server (Shadowlands) keeps going to really high lag and then booting people ( I luckely just get a red x) anyone else experiencing this?

Edit: Seeing that this is game wide now. Any theories as to why? Especially with tonight being the end of a conquest week?

I'm also from Shadowlands, and am experiencing large lag spikes and disconnects. I wasn't alone, others on the chat were also complaining of the same thing. I too, get the red x, the red dot, and boom out to infinite log screen.

It's unplayable atm. I'm standing in my house doing nothing, and getting lags and dc's. Imagine if I was actually trying to accomplish something.

This seems likely; however, we should have heard something from someone... this has been going on over half an hour already!!

It's happening because of the LIZARDSQUAD hackers. They hit Destiny and Minecraft and CoD and other games as well. Tonight they hit EA. This is not Bioware's fault.

Lizard Squad has taken credit for the DDOS attack on their Twitter feed:

Kotaku is also reporting Call of Duty and Destiny were DDOS'd by the same group this evening.

The lag is clearing up now. Most big companies like this have DDOS protection they can flip on if need be, so hopefully it will be over for now.

Hi Wookenhiemer,

The shadowlands is an East Coast server so use the IP address for that as outlined below. We find pathping to be more informative than tracert, just be sure to let it complete which could be 5-7 minutes.

In order to generate a pathping, please complete the following steps:

  • Press Windows Key + R, type ‘cmd’ and press Ctrl+Shift+Enter. Pressing Ctrl+Shift+Enter rather than just enter will run this command as administrator and prevent the message 'the requested operation requires elevation'. In the command window, please type in the following command:

  • pathping -n xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

    • Please replace ‘xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx’ with the relevant server IP below.

      • If you play on an East Coast server: 159.153.92.28

      • If you play on a West Coast server: 159.153.68.252

      • If you play on a European server: 159.153.72.252

      • If you play on an Asia Pacific server: 175.45.88.182

This may take a couple of minutes so please wait whilst it completes. Once the information is visible please right click and select "Mark", you can then select all the information using your mouse, when you have selected everything press return/enter. This will have copied all the information that you have selected. Paste it to a text document and save.

  • Copy/Paste the content of the file into your post using this format:

    content of pathping.txt

Please modify your pathping file so that your IP address which is entry number 1 in the list of IP addresses is not visible and attach the pathping.txt to your reply for analysis.

my pathping:

C:\Windows\system32>pathping -n 159.153.92.28
