Wow, one million already?

There were that many pre-orders, so everyone knew it already. Most people figure it's around 1.5 million people.

But that doesn't matter - only how many stay in 6 months. Before the 20th, my server had 4 50's (that I saw at one point...)

EDIT: Actually, the funny thing is - the fanbois were bragging about there being 3-4 million preorders cuz "vgchartz doesn't include europe or digital" (which it did...)

Happy to be one of that million! :D

"We’re very appreciative of your support and we look forward to surprising and delighting you throughout the journey ahead. To that end, we plan on letting you know soon about some cool upcoming content planned over the next few months."

Can't WAIT to see what's in store for this game in the future, very excited indeed!

That seems really low. They had 1mil US, brick and mortar only, preorders. Unless post-christmas is going to see an explosive jump, 1mil seems really low.

No, people that were so insistent that VGChartz didn't include 'europe or digital sales' were clearly wrong as many people said many times.

They weren't wrong. The numbers were US only and nothing online. With that, I can easily see another million copies sitting under the tree right now.

Yes they were - and this annoucement proves it. Amazon reported total sales (which included Europe) - and EA (which was mostly digital sales) were also listed. Those were both included in VGChartz. People refuse to accept that truth.

No, they were right. When they switched from North America numbers to US numbers, the pre-orders went down. Slightly. There are NOT a lot of Canadians playing.

Also, as Stephen Reid keeps saying that BioWare/EA hadn't released any order figures previous to today's tweet, it's highly unlikely that Origin numbers were given to anybody, so no digital numbers could have been obtained.

Go look at the VGZ site.. They tell you some of how they figure the numbers they get. It's by polling brick and mortar stores, AND by polling gamers, among other methods.

By polling gamers it isn't going to matter if hey bought digital or packaged.

You do realize that subs are not the same as SALES right? There is easily half sold that people can't use until the 25th.

There's a handfull of those torwars like fan sites with the same basic information insider information.

Very suspicious that it's EA PR/Marketing dollars at work. Seems like they are designed to make sure EA has the first say when you type SWTOR news into google.
