  1. The game is averaging 7.5-8.5 reviews. That's low for what this game was hyped for. Rift is rated higher than this game.
  2. They aren't getting the praise because the game didn't reach the bar the people expected and that THEY set themselves. It's a very good game but people expected amazing. So far it hasn't delivered and the game is getting the reviews to go with it.
  3. No ulterior motive. They likely were just running out of time so the D/N cycle got canned.
  4. You actually bought that artist decision, BS?
  5. A lot of it is just the problem with a scifi setting. They feel cold, dead and lifeless. It's one of the reasons fantasy settings typically make much better MMOs.
  6. Flashpoints are flashpoints...As for the lvl rage, I think they're endgame.
  7. There's a lot of basic features that are hard to believe didn't make it at launch. While they'll be added eventually, it's likely already too late.
  8. a LFG and an AH that looks like they have a clue how to make an MMO would go a long way. I still can't believe how non-intuitive the AH is.
  9. I always love when idiots give the 'go back to WoW' crap. If that's the company's mindset, people will go back to WoW and this game really will be dead. I can assure everyone that EA's mentality is not 'go back to wow'.
  10. At that point the game is dead and it no longer matters. It's one of the major issues with making the planets so damn big and the stupid sharding they did early on (glad that's gone) is the game feels dead even if it's packed...and perception is everything in an MMO. If people get the impression the game is dead or dying, the consumer will quit even if they like the game.
  11. You have to remember your average SW consumer doesn't know Republic or Empire. They're going to go where the cooler classes are and most experienced MMO players are going to go where the most people play.
  12. They do need to merge at least HALF the servers together. It's a double edged sword though. It makes for a better experience, but it's also the kiss of death and gives the consumer the impression the game is dying...and it might be.
  13. Some of it certainly is the community. If enough people say the game is broken and dead, you'll likely start believing it.
  14. Dungeon finder should be their #1 priority. That exclusion alone can kill this game. It was a horrible omission.
