Hi Everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone and tell you a little about myself and what I plan to do with this thread. My name is Akilis, I played on Mask of Nihilus with my guild Business Casual, We are very active and PVP focus guild at the launch of SWTOR and quicly made a name for ourselves in Warzones as well as World PVP. Durring that time I provided the community with a bunch of pvp guides for Trooper Vanguards and other pvp related content. Then I stopped playing and so did most of our guild. Well I am back and I decided to UPDATE my video blog for beginners and experienced players to learn PVP mechanics unique to each map. I want to reiterate that I do not in any way think my spec or tips are for everyone. The great thing about PVP is that it is unique and different for each person. My goal of these videos will be to outline tips to use in each map, what specs work well in pvp, and what you could in a match to help your team win. So thank you to everyone who is already fallowing me on YouTube and Twitter and I hope that my videos help some of you get a better understanding on how to be successful in PVP and other aspects of the game. Below I will link all the videos as I upload them with links to each video. Thanks.

Welcome back, when I first made my vanguard at launch I used the tactics spec from one of your videos, so it's nice to see you back at it! Giving this spec a try and I like it so far. I feel the lack of burst but it also feels more survivable so a good trade from my assault spec imo. Couple of questions though, I'm about to hit 55 on my vanguard and what stats should I focus on? Also usually when I play tactics I pick up the increased run speed, which points would you recommend moving if I pick it up with this spec?

If you want to put 2 points into Battlefield training (increased run spread) I would take the two points from Battering Ram (free stockstrike). Ammo is not an issue with this spec and it wont hurt your DPS. As far as gear and stats go, I take all the Combat Tech set. For augments I get crit until I have 20% crit without buffs, then I get power augments to fill whatever is have left. Edited by sorianoda

Thanks for your guide updates, I've watched your previous videos and look forward to seeing the new ones with the level 55 content.

I switch between Shield Specialist and Tactics and trying to find a comfort level with both of them, will you have any other updates about the Tank role in the future?

Nice guide Akilis! Wouldn't mind seeing some more games. I have dusted off my lowbie VG and having a good time with Tactics. Apparently I am drawn to the oddball AC/specs (concealment OP main). I must like punishing myself, heh.

Agree great vids....but if you really like punishing yourself, spec Assault and have at it! :p

Crit?!?? Crit is the stat you want to get rid of, vanguard stat priority for both PvP and pve is accuracy > surge > stack power

The returns for crit are terrible and PvP gear doesn't have a large enough stat budget to justify any crit, crit becomes even more useless considering tactics get a autocrat for one if its abilities.
