and damnit... they are increasing the enrage timer by 30 secs... :(

Terror From Beyond

•The enrage timer for The Dread Guard has been increased by 30 seconds in Hard and Nightmare Modes.

I didn't want them to touch this fight... at least for a few months.

Nibbon, there might be an error, the spreadsheet points at an higher amount of points than those you allocated us for Kephess down, could you pretty please check it out?

Cheers,

It isn't an error. The numbers on the bottom which reflect the points the boss is worth all calculates at the same pace as any other boss fight, so therefore bosses 1-5 are all ticking down on the same point system. However, the actual kill post updates itself to reflect the time change on each boss. So for example, WH and DG matched the points on the bottom when the kill was posted, however Operator and Kephess tick down twice as fast as the first two boses, so the actual time post is a little less than what the time below reflects (i.e. = If Kephess was at 9,966 points when you posted, you will only get 9,933 points).

At least I think this is how it is reflecting the numbers, though I could be wrong. Nibbon may have added an extra 2 into the formula somewhere.

That's because that was the system that all guilds agreed on for this content is all. Bosses 1-2 are worth the same, 3-4 tick down faster, and the final boss ticks down the quickest since it is "worth" more in terms of value, Edited by OriginalTomoka

Fixed - the points awarded were correct, the points at the bottom were as Ren said, at the same pace of the first two fights. I added that "points if you kill now" thing a couple weeks ago, so I didn't really test it to make sure it is working. I just copied the formula from TWH and put in all of them - thus the points weren't deteriorating on fights 3-5 like they should have. Anyway, should be accurate now.

And indeed, the system was more or less agreed upon by the top 10 guilds from NiM EC many months ago. I think the application of the system has been very good thus far and have no intention of changing anything. The first two fights deteriorate slower because, often, the first fight is easier and really only depends on who logs on first - thus the deterioration lessens that effect - the last fight is the operation clear and thus rewards double points since it carries more significance. I think that NiM TFB has shown that the last fight isn't always the hardest and so shouldn't be the sole factor in deciding "the best guild." In other words, I feel pretty confident that this system, at the very least, works.
