then read and respond to this thread...The changes currently on the 2.0 PTS have completely and utterly destroyed assassin's viability for anything other than node guarding. Help improve the state of this games' pvp and keep this thread on the first page so it catches the attention of the devs

If by "useless for anything than guarding nodes" you mean "no longer dominating most 1v1 encounters", then yes, absolutely.

 

And I do have a Deception/Madness hybrid Sin. Still run Vigilance Guard and Gunnery Commando because it's more challenging and fun.

The OP has put up some decent points and gone over the skill changes which is all good but you cant really say we have been nerfed until its properly tested. You havn't posted any number from even an ops dummy to show if the dps output has changed or not. As for testing in a pvp warzone we cant even get a fair warzone due to the bolster bug.

 

So until it can be at least tested in a decently fair manner then you cant say we have been nerfed. Plus remember that phase walk also works while stunned so we now have 2 ways to escape focus fire and one of those works while stunned. That alone is a fairly decent survival boost in my opinion.

 

As an aside, does anyone know if the oppressing force skill the second tier one that only worked on normal or weak targets work in conjunction with haunted dreams so you can lift more then one target? The oppressing force tooltip wasn't very clear.

and how do u know its strong on pts? as far as i know pvp is bugged with people running around with 800k HP and hiting for 60k .

 

if you abuse a bug that is easily repeatable your right but there are a lot of people not abusing but actually testing it like myself and a 1vs1 23/23/0 spec is even stronger then current hybrid spec - in a 1vs1 environment. but true tank or dps specs are weaker or in best cases(inf/deception) on par with current setting.

When they fix the bolster bug and you're not all running around with 900k health, get back with us on how you do. I think your hybrid spec will be gone but the damage will stay around the same.

 

Also, you got phase walk. While not very useful for you as a dps, this is a slightly ridiculous addition to your utility as a class, especially in hutt ball. Wait until they fix bolster, get accurate data, come back.

Good, it has been the most op pvp class or second most since launch... Looks like you may need to learn how to play a class that actually has a weakness.

the tank tree isnt getting nerfed. in fact, its getting another buff next PTS patch. its the center tree( the one that no one even wants for rateds as it is and few even play ) that got nerfed into nothingness for PVP.

 

tank and hybrids based on tank tech in DPS gear are still going to be the same( actually better after more buffs ). so the end result will be even more people playing the spec you think has been OP since launch.

Are you saying that deception and madness were op? Cannot argue that darkness was op but they had nerfed that twice previously.
