  1. Do you have any desire for them to ever change the slot machine to revert it back to being useful for anything? Maybe you do , maybe you are happy with the way it is. But if you ever expect them to change it and revert it back to usefulness than we cannot let this die down. You have to constantly post and never let it go , until it changes. Otherwise they will assume everyone forgot about it and nothing will happen.... So sick and tired of seeing "we needed another post of this" and all the stupid comments that go along with that. YES!! we did need another post , because it has not been changed yet, and the slot machine is still a paper weight. Do you not have the common sense to understand that is how things get fixed? People continuously complaining until the devs feel they have no choice. If you don't realize this than I don't know what to tell you, it is obvious. Personally, I hope to see ten more threads about this within the week. Even if I have to make a few myself.
  2. Still amazes me how they picked such a crappy game engine for a game that they spent so much money into making.
  3. I have bumped into quite a few people that aren't happy about it. Mainly people that either bought them or used them... You could also add me to that list of "a dozen" players that are not happy about the current drop rates... These slots gave me a whole new dynamic of the game to enjoy, and I would spend about an hour on the guild ship messing around with them, but not now. Every time I use one I just wind up getting frustrated because I know there is not a snow balls chance in hell I will win anything worth a damn.
  4. Something anyone could agree with.... Certainly they have an html person that their job is website maintenance? This is pretty damned lazy not to fix something like this and confuse potential customers.
  5. Not so sure I want speech bubbles cluttering up my screen, although I am sure there would be an option to turn them off.
  6. Would be happy if the machine just spit out a certificate every once in a while.. Couldn't give a rats *** about the purple mats.. Those are cheap enough off the GTN anyhow, wouldn't waste time trying to craft them though. Underworld trading is worthless... Probably gonna drop that one .. I never use it and when I try to use it, it just wastes my time.
  7. I know, what the hell is wrong with these devs.. If anything the way that slot machine worked was needed! I have underworld metals and never even use it, or rarely do, because it is not profitable to send your companions out on those missions, only to never get any purple mats and then you get this one mat all the time that sells for next to nothing.
  8. The only thing they are useful for now is to buy 10-20 coins and say hmm maybe Ill win something and then leaving it alone because it will waste your time and money, the chances of winning anything is on par with winning the power ball though. Even if you do win a jawa junk, is it even worth all that effort? Hell no. It would take all your credits to win 10 certs probably 20 mill at least and you still wouldn't win all ten, you could just buy that mount. Clearly there is something wrong here.
  9. Which now would be a total waste of time and credits... You could just craft and post on the forums like I do all the time.
  10. The last hospital I went to was sweet... Didn't get on any game while I was there, but they had a big nice flat screen tv on the wall with a keyboard and internet access... I could order whatever I wanted off their menu , whenever I wanted as long as the kitchen was opened.. Damn, I actually was dumb enough to leave that hospital against the doctors advice.... Just couldn't take the withdrawals from the "pain medication" anymore that they were not giving me in the hospital, but I could easily take at home. Oh yea, and there was this huge list of movies I could watch.. Got to watch the second hobbit installation and captain phillips... Really kicking myself in the butt for not taking full advantage of that hospital stay, but if anyone knows how "Pain medicine" withdrawal goes, you would understand why I left. Instead of using the actual name of the "pain medicine" I substitute it , because I don't want an infraction or my post to get deleted.
  11. I'm sure more than half of the player base took advantage of this bug, if they did anything they would just be losing customers for something that shouldn't have went live to begin with, now all of a sudden it is the players fault? Shame on you bioware!
  12. I know.. I tried to edit out my message , but apparently I didn't do it fast enough before somebody quoted me.
  13. I never did anything.. I didn't realize that top of the line gear was being handed out in the first place, I just got the message "Who wants their free stuff" which happened to be christmas day. I thought it was some decoration or other bull crap , so I never went with them.. I just know some guys who did , and they didn't realize it was an exploit. Maybe if bioware would send everyone a mail to their characters , "There is an exploit going around, and if you participate in this exploit there will be consequences" So, how is everyone supposed to know this is an exploit? Alot of people just heard "Free stuff" and joined a group to go get their free stuff.. When it was brought up in the guild it wasn't brought up like it was some kind of an exploit, it was brought up like it was free stuff that you were supposed to be getting. And another thing... Some of the guys I talked to were not aware how that loot got there in the first place... The guys I talked to didn't even know there was a boss fight.. they thought it was loot that everyone was supposed to be able to get... The way it was described like, it was some kind of treasure chest that everyone supposed to be able to get.
  14. For the past 3 years around christmas time there is almost always some free gift, and what I assumed was when a guildie asked "Who hasn't gotten their free stuff yet" I assumed it was some kind of a christmas gift.... Doesn't matter anyhow, I never partook in this thing, just know of some people that did, who had no clue that it was an exploit. Mostly guys who mainly pvp and don't do raids so know very little about them.
  15. I haven't played the game in a year and just started playing again for the new expac... When guildie asks if anybody wants their free ****, I think that it's because it really is freebies given out from bioware... It was on christmas too, so you might think that is why free stuff is being handed out... I don't do operations all the time.. I am not a raider.. Although I do occassionally do HM or SM ... I'm not saying I partook in this exploit, all I am saying is when i heard about it on christmas day , I assumed it was a christmas freebie of some kind, and alot of the guildies probably felt the same way. If BW screws up like that, who's fault is it? I know I never took advantage of any exploit, not with my knowledge And you assume too much, you assume everyone is supposed to automatically know that when they are asked if they want their free stuff, and then invited to a group and brought into a flashpoint where there just happens to be free stuff, you assume everyone is supposed to know that it is an exploit of some kind. Well, I assume that if you can do something in the game , then it is fair to do. Who would want to miss out on their christmas freebies, if that is what they thought it was? Not everyone here plays the game 24/7 days a week and knows all the mechanics and what is and isn't an exploit. Nobody ever said "Hey there is this exploit where you can get free ****" what I heard was , anybody want their free stuff. IT was on christmas day so you might expect Oh so this is our free christmas gift from bioware. I'm just saying what alot of the guildies have been discussing in vent. Most of them were unaware that there was any exploit, maybe the people that ran the operation knew about it, but it was never explained to any of us that this was an exploit. Just "Who hasn't gotten their free stuff yet?"
  16. Underworld trading is useless anyhow... It is not worth all the credits spent sending your crew members out to never get a purple mat anyhow, or rarely enough so that it doesn't make up for the loss by sending all your crew members out to get them... I would rather send them out to scavenge because there is a decent return there.
  17. Does this seem like a joke to you? A lot , and I mean a lot, of people have been screwed by this nerf. Several people I know including myself have purchased many cartel packs and spend **** tons of real life money and in game credits to get this damned slot machine, that is now utterly useless! You don't think that is true? Give it a whirl for yourself. I can only think that the only people that would have been complaining are those that may not have had direct access to one of these machines. It isn't that hard to get one, or use the guild slot machine or go find a public stronghold and use their slot machines. If you don't have a guild.. why not? You get alot of benefits in this game simply by being in a guild and a lot of guilds don't even give a **** if you even socialize with them. Too many people in this game pretend to worry about a fantasy economy. Who gives a ****, this isn't wall street... The game won't crash because a few items have become a bit cheaper to purchase, and like I have said before this idea that the machine was spewing out purple mats left and right is a pure fabrication... This was just an over exaggeration of what the machine was really outputting. Probably made by people who never even used the machines in the first place and were jealous that they didn't have one of their own.
  18. And this POS mount they give us for the slot machine debacle , isn't worth the time of day or the pixels it's made up of. Why do they reskin a mount and act like it is a new mount that only you can get from the slots? When you can get this mount on other vendors for much less hassle? I will tell you why, this dev team is lazy as **** and they will reskin everything so they don't have to come up with anything new... Almost all our gear is reskinned rehashed garbage.
  19. Well, this is what happens when a bunch of cry babies get on the forums and complain about ****, they are acting like this thing really was destroying the economy and making crew skills useless. I still used my crew skills while I played the slot machine, hoping to get more certificates.. not because I gave a **** about jawa junk which didn't drop all that much to have an impact anyways.. Just a bunch of people coming in here over reacting the situation. Now the machines are not fun anymore, it is a waste of time... you never get **** , not even a green scrap metal. Yea , if jawa junk dropped I would use it, but that is not why I was playing the slots... I only really got like 5 augments out of that slot machine in maybe 3 days of an hour a day of use. It wasn't that serious. I was playing the slots to get more certificates so I could buy a few things I wanted off the contraband vendor.... Now it looks like I will probably never get another certificate out of that machine, and a new mount... big whoop , nobody will ever get it anyhow with the drop rates they got here... And where does he get off saying that you only have to put 750 credits in that machine? IT takes alot more than 750 credits to have a chance at winning anything.. probably more like dropping 1 mill credits you might get a jawa junk and a certificate.. Not even enough to buy a mount off the contraband vendor..... This is an outrage, and now they are just going to ignore the problem that they have created , instead of re adjusting this machine so it actually is a fun dynamic of the game.. Right now it is just a boring credit sink that gives you no reason to use it, because the odds of winning anything are damn near impossible.
  20. What it is now? That you never get **** and the whole slot machine is just a waste of time? I have 6 certificates in my inventory... I got those 6 before the nerf.. The next month I am sure I will still have those same 6 certificates in my inventory , because I will probably never get another one no matter how much money I waste dropping in that slot machine.
  21. I totally agree with you. I don't want most of the garbage I get out of a cartel pack... I have purchased quite a few cartel packs, and most of the time I don't get anything of value... Almost all of the time. I have saved a few things and hope that maybe one day they will become valuable as they can no longer be obtained from the CM.
  22. Most of the people that were begging for a nerf were posting exaggerated numbers... that's what alot of people that come to the forums to ask for a nerf on something do, they blow the whole thing out of proportion and get what they want.
  23. It wasn't just the mat farmers that had something at stake here, and it wasn't like the mats were dropping enough to make a huge impact anyhow.... I can craft 100 times the amount of mats that I could get from 1 hour of slot machine play. The whole time I used that slot machine I was only able to make 5 augments , out of 3-4 days of slot machine use. That's 10 adaptive circuitry, which is 30 jawa junk. Not a big deal. And who cares about the blue and green mats? You can get those fairly easy to begin with. No, the true reason for all the QQ was the fact that people can now buy certain cartel items off certain vendors, and there were people that already had these items for the past few years, and they were no longer obtainable through the CM. You had to spend 6 millions credits to purchase one.. The true reason for all the QQ had little to do with the economy and more to do with peoples ego's and them being able to say , hey look at this cool mask or cool mount I have that cost like 6 million credits on the GTN. That was were all the QQ threads were coming from. These items would have no longer been as rare as they once were, which would have made somebody's cool mask or mount not so cool anymore, except for the fact that it is still just as cool as it was before, but more people have them.
