Alright dumb question but

Awesome but what race were the first light siders? We know the Sith themselves were the race and the dark side wielders but who were the purebloods for the Jedis?

The original Sith were a rogue group of Jedi who were cast out from the order based on differing philosophies around how they should use their power. This group of rogue Jedi were banished to the outer rim territories and eventually came upon the world of Korriban which was inhabited by indigenous lifeforms - the Sith.

The rogue Jedi essentially ruled over the Sith (hence Lords of the Sith) and over the years they interbred with the indigenous Sith...hence not all sith species are pure blood.

Therefore the original Sith race was actually human or whatever the original Jedi would have been comprised of.

Hope this helps.

There is actually a comic running at the moment showing the first 'Jedi' but they are groups from many force-sensitive races brought to the same planet by huge pyramid-esque structures. No word on who built the structures but I'd assume that race would be the first force users, so currently there is no official jedi pure blood because the Jedi order was a mix of many races.

So your saying the original Jedi and Sith were humans? Then What are the Miralukas considered humans or another species?

The Miraluka were a humanoid species.

As to your main question:

The Celestials, also known as the Architects, were an ancient civilization who were present long before the dawn of the galactic community and even the Rakatan Infinite Empire. Whatever was known of the Celestials was the subject of xenoarchaeology. It was theorized by both Jedi and Sith alike that the balance between the light and dark sides of the Force was actually under the guidance of the Celestials.

The Rakata were probably one of the first "pure" Dark Side users.

As to the origins of the Jedi Order:

In 36,453 BBY, philosophers and scientists from several Star systems gathered on Tython to share mystical knowledge. The Force was "discovered." Unfortunately, in 25,793 BBY, several Tythan scholars began using their knowledge of the Force to pursue power, leading to the beginning of the Force Wars. Peace-minded monks that survived the destruction on Tython established the Jedi Order in 25,783 BBY.

Jedi lies! The pure blood of the Sith goes back to the very first force users. The Jedi are but bastards of an Ancient Sith Lord who corrupted the purity of the Sith with his foul teachings of peace.

Alright but I was asking the race not their histories. IE - Humans were the first jedis. Which race were?

Do not confuse Jedi with any particular race. Just like any ethnicity on Earth can become a priest, most sentient species in this galaxy can become Jedi (with rare exceptions). The first Jedi were a mix of different races, there was not one in particular, although most lore indicates that humans greatly outnumber every other race in sheer numbers within the Jedi order.

Also, do not confuse the race of Sith with the Dark Lords of the Sith. Dark side Jedi's left the order, they found the Sith, and took the title of "Sith Lords."

Ok several people have now told you there isn't a jedi race established in Star Wars, the sith race wasn't even technically the first 'sith' either. So maybe you aren't reading the replies correctly if you are still asking that.

Yes the question is dumb.

Jedi were a monastic order from day 1,species never mattered. The original jedi were all kinds of races including humans.

Also the sith were not the first dark side users.

The correct answer is the Whills.

They were the original storytellers of the Star Wars universe, but Lucas eventually dropped the idea, and the Whills became the Force. However, they were referenced by both Yoda and Qui-Gon as the original progenitors of the Force.

"The secret of the Ancient Order of the Whills, he studied."

―Yoda to Obi-Wan Kenobi on Qui-Gon Jinn

"The ability to defy oblivion can be achieved, but only for oneself. It was accomplished by a Shaman of the Whills. It is a state acquired through compassion, not greed."

―Qui-Gon Jinn to Yoda

Trivia: Before the Adventures of Luke Starkiller, the original title of Star Wars was Journal of the Whills. Some have speculated, though never officially confirmed, that the Whills were in fact Yoda's race. But that was all fan speculation.
