I assume the next chapters in the story will be the same for all the classes.

Lol, the funny thing is that the system is simple. You make a sale and you get that "in one hour" mail then when the mail with the credits comes it deletes the previous mail. UNLESS you open the "in hour mail". I think that the system is cannot delete mails that have been read. I know during the week I get on only in evenings and I find all my credit mails with none if the "in one hour" mail.

I've just re-subscribed (Haven't played since Feb. 2012)

If your looking for an MMO/social activity with family and friends then this is not your game. I say keep it installed till you finish all or most if the class stories but after that I would not expect much. This game is and should have been KOTOR 3. I say the same thing about this game that I say about ESO. Why try to make an MMO when you clearly just want to make a bigger, badder installment of your single player franchise? -
Ah, gambling. There is reason it's outlawed in most civilized places.

You know you’re playing too much SWTOR when…

You know pop stars are trying too hard when their outfits would look great in a sci-if game. -
Jedi lies! The pure blood of the Sith goes back to the very first force users. The Jedi are but bastards of an Ancient Sith Lord who corrupted the purity of the Sith with his foul teachings of peace.

Weekly cap on rep a bad idea and other concerns

EQ1 invented the boring grind. One of the worst designed games in the history of MMO's. Not sure how you could possibly hold up the grindiest game ever as a symbol of how to do grind properly. I assume your brain must be EQ addled mush. -
Sub ran out and game deletes all my credits?
Manifoldgodhead replied to TheMove's topic in General Discussion
You never need more than a couple hundred thousand to level all the way to 50. Anything I over that is for vanity items. I wish they wouldn't call it free to play. It should be called the best demo ever. -
Galactic Market; Watch your credits
Manifoldgodhead replied to Mousetwitch's topic in General Discussion
Thats the thing. All your numbers are ranges. You don't know exactly how many sales you made. If you sell 15 mods and you get 19 emails saying that your credits are coming in an hour. But then you only get your original 15 emails so the 4 extras are never deleted. They remain and you think you are missing emails, but those are just duplicates that never represented an actual sale. Start tracking exact numbers on your sales, then come back with real figures. I think you will find you have extra emails, not missing sales. -
Galactic Market; Watch your credits
Manifoldgodhead replied to Mousetwitch's topic in General Discussion
Yea but the problem is that he is counting many many emails. There is a lot of room for human error here. Also people in this bug thread state that they believe people are receiving duplicate emails. A duplicate of the "ready in 1 hour" email that never gets replaced. So he thinks he's missing the credit email, when in reality he's just got duplicates that never get replaced by real credit mails. -
I'm terribly disapointed by cartel packs.

Forget it. That guy has no clue how exponentially more complex a fully 3D game world is and why therefore a few features of the old 16 bit era are nearly impossible to do today. -
Carbon copy of WoW theme park design. Greens from mobs and quests, blues from from dungeons, purples from rare world drops and eventually level cap gear. It's been this way for a decade now.

If you meet an ******e, he's just an ******e. But if everyone you meet is an ******e, then your the ******e.

You never go full retard. I hope they put all the **** crystals on the CM so they can save the cool colors for expansions.

Any bioware employees working on the game
Manifoldgodhead replied to Jedimantis's topic in General Discussion
Although I did enjoy making one 50 and now a year later another is not tortuous. Even the pattern of the quests is extremely repetitive: Class quest, planet quest and 2-3 side quests. Next zone Class quest, planet quest and 2-3 side quests. Each planet has 4 or so zones where this pattern repeats again and again and again. The names change but the mechanics are the same. Once you've heard scan the robots/terminals/genetic mutants 10 or times, even trying to read the quests and get interested in the world gets boring. -
Also, Coruscant is too white. Nar Shaddaa was basically KOTOR 2 doing Coruscant without actually going there lore wise. But in this game all the architecture on Coruscant looks like its in the Jedi Temple, i think because they didn't want it to look like Nar Shaddaa even though Coruscant should have the occasional, hell it should have tons of, dark allies and differing architecture.

Do other MMOs have the Ability to Fly
Manifoldgodhead replied to Admiral_Petty's topic in General Discussion
Lol, world PvP is dead in any game that is not designed around world PvP. WoW is about questing and raiding. The PvP is a mini-game at best. World PvP is possible and best in an open sandbox setting that rewards players for working together, but also places them at odds with each other over resources and territory. Specifically world PvP only works without vertical progression. World PvP in WoW was awful. It was mostly just 60s popping lowbies who then either get their 60's or call other 60's. Vertical progression ruins PvP so why not have all the fun stuff like flying. -
Oh yea, people got along just fine. Primarily by begging for dungeon and raid nerfs on the forums or by dragging along a few dead weight players in each group. Damage meters and threat meters and such are just analysis tools. They just let you collect and analyze data from different fights so you can more effectively strategize. It allows groups to achieve higher levels of coordination which allows the developers to create even more challenging content. The people who don't like them are the ones that don't want to learn how to play the game. They want to just keep dicking about without learning to properly build threat or how ability rotations work. They want to be able to keep doing things the wrong way and let everyone else drag them through content.

I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of Men fails When we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship But it is not this day An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the Age of Man comes crashing down But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth I bid you stand, Men of the West!

Do other MMOs have the Ability to Fly
Manifoldgodhead replied to Admiral_Petty's topic in General Discussion
There is an MMO called FlyFF. Thats, Flying For Fun. It is pretty cool to fly around and look at all the giant high level mobs. However, be aware that the only point to the game is leveling. -
Any modifiable gear you can pull out the higher level stuff and put in appropriate level mods and it changes the level requirement.
-
Oh well, I guess it really doesn't matter then. The moral choice is all for funsies.
-
I always make decisions based on a moral code I work out for each character. The only difference is getting Dark or Light V for relics later on but A) that's a pretty minor thing and B) you can just undo which ever side you decide to go for later by running a bunch of Athiss.

My only grip about the pod racer mount
Manifoldgodhead replied to MouseNoFour's topic in General Discussion
The **** is this gripe about the sound? Its the bloody pod racer sound from Phantom Menace. You little girls will cry about anything. What I want to know is when did Vanity become the biggest sin of massive multiplayer gaming? -
Its amazing what happens when everyone has this attitude:
