3. Coruscant - best place to be if You are waiting for PvP, not crowded as fleet and with easy acces to box / GTM/ Cantina

Most liked Imperial side:

1. Korriban - oh good why so short?!

2. Dromund Kaas - Have you seen citadel?!

3. Nar Shada

Top "Lets blow this to pcs" planets:

3. Balmora - I cry when I need to go there

4. Quesh / Hutta

5. Tyhon - It's just boring long forgotten and for some reason re discovered rock,

Imperial Taris - I'm okay with the planet series (Thana Vesh missions) but the planet itself is just so... dull.

At least Hoth is supposed to be dull, it's an frozen wasteland. Taris? Is just boring.

Republic Balmorra - Long bonus Series, in fact, the longest bonus series of any planet on either faction:rolleyes:

Alderaan is awful. There's just nothing redeeming about it. It's boring. It feels shallow. The insect things are just annoying/tacky. It feels like a very awkward cartoon.

Favorite planets though - Hutta, Ord Mantell, Nar Shadaa, Dromund Kaas, etc.

It's hard to name a single favorite, but on the top of my list are Alderaan and Voss for their scenery. Taris too; I have a thing for post-apocalyptic places, and didn't have so much problems with the ubiquitous rakghouls as apparently some here did. Hoth has nice scenery as well, not to mention the wonderful ambient music, but a bit too much running/speeding through the emptiness.

My least favorite ones are probably Corellia, Balmorra and Belsavis. Warzones are just depressing. And Ilum's darkness is oppressive. What a coincidence that this includes all the daily areas. Belsavis gets some points for its nature though. At one point I spotted these baby veractyls and went "aww, cute".

Fave has to be Tatooine.. Of all the locations its the one for me that actually does pick up the detail and atmosphere from the films and implements it correctly.

I hate the city areas and Taris with a vengence.. Both Coruscant and Nar just seem like clones of each other and Coruscant doesn't look right; its just generic easy build. Taris must have been designed by someone with a pyscopathic twisted mind.. Lets put a wall here - that will fool them

My favorite might be Hutta, to be honest. It's relatively small, and certainly not beautiful (nor it tries to be) but it's one of the few planets that feel alive. I also love the agent and BH stories there and how iconic it feels for a planet that hadn't appeared before in Star Wars aside from some mentions. It's a great introduction to the game.

As for the most hated... haven't tried the Empire version, but... Rep Taris is pretty disheartening. Rakghouls, Rakghouls everywhere. It still has some redeeming things though, especially for KOTOR players (Endar Spire, the Promised Land...), and the landscapes and ruins are an awesome sight. But a nice setting and the lore goodies can't compensate for the fact that the actual game (quests, enemies) end up being terribly tiresome and repetitive. If you at least felt an actual fear of being bitten by a Rakghoul and becoming one of them... but there's no real tension at all, just monotony.

Liked Tat, Ald and Voss - nice big expansive worlds to explore

Not so keen on Coruscant and Nar Shadaa mainly because they are supposed to be big expansive city worlds and you spend nearly all your time in tunnels. Some missed opportunities of questing amongst the skyscapers.

Hated Taris - you feel so locked in to following set paths with mob concentration nearly as annoying as Section X.

Huh. Outside of the idiotic retconning of The Promised Land, I liked Taris. The Rakghouls didn't bother me because they were so easy to kill. One well placed grenade or force sweep . . . Oh well.

Hated:

Ord Mantell: You can save innocent civilians or you can let them die. As a Republic soldier. And if you save them, a superior officer insults you. Right. Aren't we supposed to be the good guys? Not to mention Aric Jorgan and Corso Riggs are the two most annoying companions in the game. And if that wasn't bad enough, the next planet is . . .

Coruscant: Like the above poster said, it's supposed to be this massive city-world and you spend all of your time in sewers and tunnels. No thanks. And this supposedly massive, overly-populated world feels like an empty museum of wax figures. It's no wonder none of my Pub characters never make it past 20.

Nar Shadaa: Same as Coruscant with an added bonus; a planet of gambling and vice with no gambling or vice.

Loved:

Korriban: Beautiful, intimidating, red. Exactly what I would expect from the Sith. I'd like to see some more tombs and maybe some instructors beating and berating their acolytes, but . . .

Favourite: Tython

this planet feels alive, but with nature. The grass, trees etc are just very beautiful, you have some nice areas to explore, good discussions of the force and how it works with the politics of the jedi order. Just an enjoyable experience for me.

Least Favourite: Corusant

Considering this is the seat of the republic, an entire planet that is a city, this place has been poorly implemented. The friendly areas feel like ghost towns, basically just a few interspersed NPCs handing out quests. The hostile areas feel out of place: this is the homeworld of the republic, surely there are enough police to kill / supress the gangs apparently running rampant through entire neighbourhoods?!?! Also, considering the amount of skyscrapers there is an appauling lack of height. Each area is essentially "flat" with no sense of scale, and most zones feel like a carbon copy of one another. I generally feel like this with most of the city building in TOR tho: none of it feels right.

Nar Shadaa: Same as Coruscant with an added bonus; a planet of gambling and vice with no gambling or vice.

While I also don't really like Nar Shadaa, it does have big platforms with loads of Roulette-like games, 'dance' clubs and lots and lots of criminals. Besides, it's not like they could put in anything really offensive without turning it into an instant 18+ rating. Half a breast (EDIT: since they apparantly censor bodyparts now), actual drug use or a few drops of blood and you got one of those retarded ratings stuck onto the game. So, I didn't really expect any 'vice' to begin with when I got there. Just your stereotypical kid glove, happy rainbow portrait of such things.

That while we have torture, killing for fun, random spacing of entire engineering crews, slapping around companions for fun as a Sith, slavery, heavy-duty war crimes and your average racism in the game. But vice/slightly suggestive imagery/drugs that are depicted in game beyond dialogue? ERMAHGAWD NO!

TLDR: ESBR ratings find sex and drugs worse than racism, war crimes, murder and torture. So, don't expect crime-ridden worlds to be depicted in any sort of believable manner. :D:p

Well being a newbie subscriber to the game I am only as far as Taris up to now, having visited Tython and Coruscant (And the lag fest that is the Fleet of course lol), both of which were nice planets. Taris is just a real slog getting anywhere, as many others have posted, just wall to wall mobs.

Looking forward to getting to the other planets, particularly a Hoth and Tatooine from this time period. Love the way they have done that in the game though, gives you a motivation for levelling up. Not sure, as I haven't tried it yet but now I have my ship I am sure I could visit those planets even though the level setting is way above my current position, but I am enjoying earning my way to each planet as I progress!
